Chapter 13: Stand Off!
Adrian: 'Dammit! Did Jinx contact the Jedi to send reinforcements?! But I was certain that I ensured no transmissions could be sent from inside my ship, unless it matched my frequency! Whatever, I ain't going to right 30 Jedi now. I had enough for one day. I can beat their ass later when I'm ready.'
Not wanting to continue the long cowboy staring contest that they were having. He activates the ship's systems and starts taking off.
All of the Jedi use the Force to stop him from leaving. He could feel an invisible tug and hand grabbing his ship.
He could escape from this easily by activating his Mass Relay Hyperdrive Engines. But both the Jedi and surrounding populated landing platforms will be destroyed as a result.
Not wanting to kill innocents, his ship was being forced to land. Adrian was panicking and decided to fire at them. He activated his rear weaponry to fire at the platforms they were standing on.
When he felt the ship break free he tried flying away, but to be once again caught with the Force.
He fired his rear weapons once again at them. He fired his Seeker Swarms and Concussion Missles to knock them if balence while avoiding causing any casualties amongst the few bystanders he had detected to be nearby, with his systems 3D scan of the area.
He felt the ship free again along 2ith the sound of many explosions.
He knew he won't be able to escape unless he fights them temporarily, otherwise the game of 'Tug Of War' will just repeat itself until he losses, which he will if that happens.
He rotates the ship around to face them, all if them were spread out.
He activates his speakers and talks to them as his voice echos throughout the area.
Adrian: "Why are you after me? I have done nothing to warrant you Jedi to pursue me. I am just a Bounty Hunter."
He knew they had come like Jinx had. They had definitely sensed his and Abeloth's meeting through the Force.
Yoda: "Speak with you, we wish to. An important matter, to ask questions about, we want to know of."
Adrian: "Hahaha! If what you say is true Master Yoda, then why are you trying to capture me.
They all know what he said were true, but they had no choice but to act on the spur of the moment.
Mace Windu: "You will not be harmed. We only wish to talk."
Adrian: "Hahaha! I would rather talk you here in the safety of my ship then on the ground with more than 30 Jedi Masters.
Additionally, something I might say to you all that you Jedi find as a threat, you will lock me up and judge me as such.
He ready his weapons and all the Jedi tense up and ready themselves in their stances and respective Forms.
Adrian: "I will give you a device to communicate with me. I will send it to the Jedi Council via a messenger. All of you Jefi, leave me alone for now and everyone wins and gets what they want."
Plo Koon: "This matter is of vital importance, and must be conducted in person, in order to ascertain the truth with the Force."
There is a silence for a while. The atmosphere was tense as not even the sound of the engines of Adrian's, still unnamed, ship could be heard due to his Stealth Drive. After a long silence, it is broken by Adrian as he spoke.
Adrian: "Not even I know why that Being (Aboleth) would come to try and kill me. That is all I know and that's the end if it. The rest is personal to me. If you do not accept that answer then he will fight."
Yoda and Mace Windu turned to look at one another and a if reading ach ither's thoughts, they came to a silent agreement that this is far too important to not have Adrian go with them to learn the truth and his connection to the Being that caused a great disturbance in the Force.
Yoda: "Sorry, we are."
Mace Windu: "We will be taking you with us to back to the Jedi Temple on Corrusaunt to be questioned."
Adrian: "So be it."
