Chapter 48

Master Chief was walking through the sandstorm caused by the bombing he could detect movement ahead of him which he knew was clones because no droid could have survived that bombing.

Master Chief took his squad and approached the group of clones to see if they were okay.

As they approached and came into contact with the clones they pointed their weapons at them but dropped them once they had seen clones in the group.

The squad leader for the clones then came forward to talk with Chief though he felt intimidated being towered over by someone who stands 7ft tall

" I am TO-307 also called Xeck are you the foreign soldiers here that are helping us," Asked Xeck

"Yes we are here to aid in the defeat of the separatists" Siad Chief

"Though that bombing must have wiped out the majority of their army so we should have it easy from here on out and advance forward," Said Chief

Xeck had agreed and followed Master Chief to destroy the remaining droids.

After nearly 5 hours all the droids on the planet were destroyed and Republic had been given control of the planet. Mainly because John saw no benefit in taking a barren planet like Geonosis so he told Master Chief to let the Republic maintain control.

Master Chief informed Master Yoda of what John said which Master Yoda thanked them for their help and hope they can be friends in the future.

Master Chief knew of the Jedi Order activities from John so he told Yoda that only Time will tell.

Master Yoda nodded understanding what Master Chief meant.

The Imperiums forces then left back into their transports and left the planet and docked with the fleet. The fleet then left and went back to Imperium territory.

John had received the report of the battle of Geonosis and how many casualties the clones took and how many casualties the Imperium took. The Clones took nearly 10k casualties while the Imperium lost nobody in the whole battle.

Of course, it was thanks to their armor and skills that nobody was lost.

Jarvis awarded all the soldiers who participated in the battle with rewards and promotions for those who performed beyond expectations in the battle.

The rewards had boosted the already morale even higher and made other want to fight to show their strength on the battlefield and receive rewards.

But a massive war was something that was about to happen as the conflict on Geonosis has caused many planets to leave the Republic and join together under Count Dooku in the Confederacy of Independent Systems. And the Allied coalition who had heard of the Republics' Aggressive actions have cut all diplomacy with the republic and stationed fleets on their borders.

These actions have caused the republic to be in two civil wars one against the Confederacy and the other against the Caolition.

The Republic Loyalists have already pledged their support to Palpatine in response to the Civil war.

Republic citizens were worried because the Republic was split into 3 factions, those supporting Palpatine, those supporting the coalition, and those who pledged support to Count Dooku.

Even after the Republic split up it was still big compared to the seceding factions but it had no standing armies besides the 20 Million clones while the Coalition has been training an army and building a fleet for a year and the Confederacy was full of rich trade factions and had a massive droid army and fleet.

Even though the republic didn't have a standing army they still maintained multiple fleets numbering in the thousands and possibly tens of thousands.

The republic already commissioned a few more million clones from Kamino and began drafting citizens as soldiers too. And of course, the Jedi had become Generals of the Republic because of their title as the Peacekeepers and because of the return of the Sith.

John had planned to declare war on the Confederacy because they were controlled by Sith while he would leave the coalition alone for now because he has no reason to go to war with them right now but he knows sooner or later he would have to fight them but he would leave that to future him as right now he wants to focus on the Confederacy.

So John waited a week while he prepared his army and fleets to go to war. But mobilizing on such a large scale will start rumors so some people assumed the Imperium was going to war but could never decide who with.

The rumors had spread through the Galaxy eventually to the three factions in the Civil war. The republic Senate didn't want The Imperium to enter the war as that would make them more powerful than they already are while the Confederacy was looking for a way to keep the Imperium out of the war.

The coalition didn't really care as they would defend themselves against any threat.

Palpatine had come up with a plan to keep the Imperium out of the war. He would send his apprentice Maul to assassinate John and then kill the powerful leaders of the Imperium to prevent them from going to war and cause chaos.

So he went somewhere private and sent a message to his apprentice to Maul to infiltrate the Imperium and assassinate their leader. And to make sure the job gets done he secretly hired multiple groups of Mercenaries to Assassinate him also though it was hard as not many groups would take up such a mission.

Now with his plan in place, Palpatine would wait for the results from his apprentice or the Mercenaries. And once John was assassinated he could move on with his plans.
