Ch.9 Night Time Raid 3

With alpha squad's mission complete; Roshuni decided to contact beta squad for their status.

She tapped on her bracelet connecting to the network spirits.

"Alpha squad leader Roshuni, requesting communication with Beta squad leader."

A voice connected to Roshuni's mind replying back.

"Request received one moment."

Over in the city, Beta squad led by Alphani slowly carried heavy bags and boxes full of weapons through the streets.

Alphani with a large bag over his shoulder noticed his bracelet flashing.

He tapped on the bracelet and responded.

"This is Beta Squad leader, what's the situation?"

"Communication request from alpha squad requesting connection."

"Accept the call."

Moments later a connection was made between the 2 squads.

"Beta squad this is Alpha squad leader Roshuni, I've secured the ships, do you require pick up?"

"That would be most helpful, we have secured a great number of weapons and something that might interest our lord."

"I understand, maneuver your squad to the park a few blocks east of your position, we will land there."

"Roger that!"

Both sides switched off their bracelet's then gave orders to their squads.

"Beta Squad we have a new evacuation point to the park 2 blocks east; Alpha squad will be picking us up with the ships they acquired."

"Let's get a move on."

Beta squad then turned around and made their way to the park.

Roshuni grabbed the ships communicator and connected to the other ships.

"Everyone we will be dropping at the park on the eastern side of the city. We will pick up everyone else from here while the city focuses on the rebel army."

"Roger that squad leader!"

The starfighters in the front turned left then made their way to the east. Roshuni looked at Peter who nodded his head before following the other ships ahead.

Over with Zeta squad, they were making their way to a local government facility. However, a group of rebels began to attack the place so they had to hold off temporarily.

"Squad leader I suggest we contact our lord and request permission to engage the rebels blocking our way."

Squad leader Ventax nodded his head then went through the motions of contacting Omega squad.

When the connection was approved Ventax explained the situation.

My lord this is Zeta squad leader Ventax; we have run into a group of rebels attacking the local government, I request permission to silently take them out?"

For a while it was quiet, but eventually a voice responded.

"You have my permission; complete your mission and let no one get in your way, I expect your full team to return home all alive and well."

"Once you have the star charts contact Alpha squad they should have our escape vessels ready by now."

"Yes my lord!"

The connection cut off and Ventax looked at his squad.

"We have our lords permission; let's sneak around a shoot down these worms with our bows, anyone who gets in our way shall be killed, let's move!"

Zeta squad climb led to the top of the nearby buildings, moving to dark corners with perfect sight on the rebel group and it's leader.

The elves pulled out their bows and heightened their senses through the force.

With run covered arrows nocked they watched their prey like bats in the dark.

"Commander when will we attack this facility, our brothers requested we acquire any data on the military in the nearby regions?"

"Don't be in such a hurry idiot; we're waiting for the other teams to pull over the city guards attention."

As he said that a large group of soldiers ran down the nearby street. The rebel group quickly hid close to the building in the darker shade.

Once the soldiers moved far enough away, the rebels came back into the light.

"Let's move, someone get me a blast charge on this door now!"

A man with a rocket launcher and a bag of explosives on his back ran forward to the reinforced door.

He pulled out a breach charge and placed it ok the door. He set the charge up then got it ready to blow. When he was done he moved back to the end of the group before pressing a button.

Boom!

An explosion occurred and the door flew off the hinged into the street.

"Charge!!"

The men ran forward; however, before they could get into the building. A volley of arrows began to rain down upon then.

"Ahh!!"

Arrows pierced multiple men killing them on the spot.

"Enemy attack take cover!!"

Like rain drops, the arrows fell from the sky. The rebels ran towards trees, trashcans, anything that could provide cover.

The rebel leader ran inside the building when the arrows came flying. He hid behind a counter, fearing for his life, he knew for a fact these men were a goner, any elite soldiers hiding in the darkness with a bow was a terrifying killer.

Over and over, the sound of arrows puncturing flesh sounded out in the night.

The group of rebels after 5 minutes of arrow rain couldn't handle it and were eventually killed off, only their leader was left.

The Zeta squad rushed off of the rooftops and made their way to the field of corpses. When they didn't find any survivors they slowly crept towards the open doorway.

"Brurec, Urolri cloak up and bring me that rebel captain, I wanna know what they have going on."

"Yes, captain"

The 2 dark elves went invisible then rushed into the building. When they entered the building, they pulled out their blades before slowly walking forward.

The rebel captain hid behind the counter for a while longer before taking a peek from under the counter.

He didn't see anyone walking around and there was no sounds coming from outside the building.

Taking this as an opportunity, he stood up and made his way down the hallway.

The 2 elves immediately found him when he peeked from behind the counter. They watched him as he moved down the hall, they decided to follow this human to see what he was up to.

The rebel captain moved down the hall searching rooms but he didn't seem to find what he was looking for.

"I need to find the main computer terminal, only it will have the data the rebellion requires."

Not finding anything on the first floor, he moved up to the second. On the second floor stood a large computer with three doorways surrounding it.

He went up to the computer and began typing away. Many different screens popped up showing him camera footage of the rooms around him.

"Wait a minute there isn't a central computer here, but how the documents we stole stated there was one here!"

Frustrated with his findings the man began to slam his hands on the table.

"All those lives lost for what, some fake information, this might have even been a trap."

As he was about to get up 2 bodies appeared behind him, placing their blades to his neck.

"Wait don't do it!"

The man raised his hands in the air, surrendering to the people behind him.

"You were looking for the central computer, why is that?"

"We, we needed to find information on the government's supply routes and military strength."

"With that information we could launch coordinated attacks against them in hopes of winning this war."

"Tell me, if I find this computer will we find starcharts of all local systems?"

After hearing the question the man began to wonder if these people actually worked for the government.

"Yes, I believe so they should have records all most standard republic star charts and the charts for most local systems in this sector."

Brurec looked at Urolri, then nodded his head. They both lowered their blades away from his neck, then stepped away from him a little.

With the blades away from his neck the man gulped his spit, thankful to live a little longer.

He turned around and saw 2 aliens he had never seen before. Their skin a grayish black, with long pointed ears.

"We will we find this computer and you will get us the information we want or you will die; agreed?"

With no other choice, he nodded his head.

"I agree."

"Good now stay right their, I will start searching for the computer."

Urolri closed her eyes and reached out to the force, listening to its call. She then began to walk towards the middle room and opened it with the force.

The room looked like a standard office space, with a desk, some chairs, and a few plants in the corner.

Urolri walked behind the desk, then got on one knee. She tapped the ground a few times and then a click was heard.

"You guys in here!"

Brurec pointed his blade at the captain nodding his head towards the second room.

The captain understanding he needed to move got up and moved slowly to the room.

When he got inside he saw the office, with a small staircase on the floor.

"They had a hidden room installed, let's go."

They walked down the stairs and found a tunnel, down the tunnel were many lights and vents.

Slowly they walked forward, until the tunnel split off to the right.

Down the right path was a door, with command on it.

Guessing this was what they were looking for, Urolri walked to the door and opened it.

Inside was a giant room with a large computer in the middle. There were multiple seats around, different terminals and a set of camera's that watched different viewpoints of the city.

"Is this the computer, human?"

"Yes it is, I can find the information you want now."

"Then let's get to it, I don't wish to keep my lord waiting."

The man sat at a nearby seat and began clicking away. On a display hanging from the ceiling, a large map of the known universe appeared.

Many dots popped up one at a time before the map was littered with them. Lines began to connect the dots together.

After awhile the dots stopped appearing and the lines stopped connecting.

Large chunks of the map didn't possess dots on them and were just blank.

The man then entered a command and the map disappeared, a nearby terminal opened up and released a chip.

"That chip contains everything you need, I hope I have satisfied you."

Also, I want you to delete every camera log surrounding this building. We don't wish to be spotted in this city.

The man once again typed away before turning back towards the elves.

"It is done."

Brurec walked over and grabbed the chip. He placed it inside of the hearthtree seed then nodded to Urolri.

"You have done well human, we will not take your life."

They both then walked out of the room back towards their squad.

Outside of the building, the other elves of Zeta squad gathered all of the blasters littered around, then hid back on the nearby roofs.

10 minutes later Brurec and Urolri appeared with the group.

"We have the star charts, our mission has been completed."

"Good work, I will contact alpha squad and organize our escape."

Ventax requested a connection to Roshuni, which was eventually accepted.

"Roshuni this is Zeta Squad Leader Ventax, we have the starcharts and are ready to evac do you have the ships?"

"Yes, move out to the park on the east side of the city, my squad and I are waiting for beta squad and yours to arrive."

"Roger that."

"Alpha squad is waiting for us at a park on the east side of the city, let's move."

Zeta squad jumped into the air disappearing from the chaos they created down below.

A little while after Zeta squad left, the rebel captain appeared at the destroyed entrance.

"I wonder who the hell those guys were, i know for a fact they don't work for the government. But, the amount of skill they have is horrifying."

He looked at all the punctured corpses on the ground, riddled with arrows.
