Ch.32 It Start’s With a Boom

A man in an all black uniform could be seen sneaking around a Military outpost near Truval City. The man crept behind a large container waiting for the group of patrolman to walk by.
As he waited, he tapped a device on his arm. A holographic screen showing the entire blueprint of the base appeared.
"There should be a tunnel entrance near here, it should lead me to the underground waste facility."
The man turned off the display, then quickly moved pass the group of guards.
The resistance had been waiting for months to get some type of information on the military to give them a heavy blow.
And as if god had heard their prayer, a month ago a set of data was wired to their HQ giving them a hint of a military facility worth investigating. No one knew where the data came from or why they sent it, but after a month of investigations the rebels decided to try out this base.
The rebels sent operative Lance Michaels to infiltrate the facility at night and to gather as much information as possible. Once done, he was to plant multiple explosive charges around the base, dealing a heavy blow to the military.
Lance moved around the facility making his way to the marked sewer drain. As he got closer to his destination; a pair of guards walked by the drain.
He waited for a while to understand the guards patrol route. After a few minutes of waiting, Lance grabbed a small blaster from his hip.
The blaster was designed to hold two modes; stun mode and kill mode. Stun mode would send out a silent charge of electricity to knockout those hit.
Lance pointed the blaster at the two guards back; the blaster locked onto the two targets before fire two small shots into their back.
"Uhh!" "Uhh!" The two guards moaned as they dropped to the ground unconscious.
Lance quickly moved the guards to a nearby bush then opened the manhole cover to the sewers.
Once inside the sewer, the stench assaulted his nose. Such a foul stench could bring any normal man to their knees.
Lance gathered himself putting all of his training to good use. He pulled out a charge, placing it beside the sewer entrance he entered from.
"Based on this map, the sewers have 15 different exits and entrances. Only 5 of those actually connect to the outpost itself."
Instead of Lance just sneaking into the outpost and hiding the explosives all over. He is going to also place some charges at each of the sewer entrances connected to the outpost, to block anyone from following.
'Once I'm finished that should leave me 9 different exits to leave from quietly.'
Time went by as Lance walked to each individual entrance and placed a charge.
These charge's were developed by the rebels to have 2 ways to detonate. One is the switch, hidden on Lance's person at anytime he can easily hit the switch and detonate the charges.
The other way is a failsafe, implemented within his body itself. If he were to be captured, saying a certain phrase will initiate the detonation sequence.
After placing all of the charges; Lance moved to the sewer entrance connected to the disposal area.
As he slowly opened the manhole; he did a 360 look around to check for guards and any cameras. At 4 o'clock a camera panned left and right watching the room.
Noticing the camera; Lance tapped his wrist-pad. His body began to blur as he became invisible.
He quickly moved into the room and hid under the cameras line of sight. Lance grabbed a small device from his back pocket and placed it on the camera.
The device would force the camera to loop the same footage over the last 5 mins back to the camera room for 2 hours.
Lance had a large amount of these devices, he never knew what situation he could run into.
Down into the hallway, he checked for any guards or cameras. Noticing the coast was clear he looked at his map then plotted a course for the generator room.

Outside the facility, Captain Osborne and a small group of 4 soldiers were dropped off back at base.
As Osborne looked around he noticed some of the patrol areas were empty.
'That's strange, were are the patrol team for that area, there should be a few guards walking around. I wonder if they are in the middle of switching shifts?'
Not thinking it was too big of a deal; Osborne ignored it following his team inside the outpost facility.
"Everyone go get some food and rest, I'll head up to command and report to the general." Osborne waved at his team as he made his way down the hall.
Everyone saluted Osborne before splitting up to do their own thing.
Lance eventually made it to the hallway where the generators were. However, he had to stop a guard stood next to the door. The guard stood there leaning against the wall with a blaster on his hip.
At the moment, the guard seemed occupied with a call from his wife.
"Honey my shift ends in an hour; once I get home I expect you to be wearing that nice red lingerie I bought you." The guard had a large grin on his face, you could even see a line of drool leaving his mouth.
Lance peaked his head around the corner checking for any cameras or other guards.
Once he determined the coast was clear, he pulled out his blaster and shot a stun shot at the excited guard.
With the guard out of the picture, Lance walked up to the large double doors. The doors were locked behind a keycard system.
Lance turned to the guard and began checking his pockets. He eventually found a small white card with the insignia of the military on the front. He swiped the card on the pad next to the doors, then heard a click.
Lance quickly opened the door and walked inside. The room was big; holding 4 giant batteries and in the back another section holding a power generator.
Lance began putting explosive charges near the batteries and another by the generator. Once finished, he slowly opened the door and pulled the guard inside before leaving towards the target room.
As he moved throughout the facility, he planted charges near walls that held the main supporting pillars. His plan was to destroy this facility and bury everyone and everything inside with it.
Over the next hour, Lance was able to successfully plant charges in the power room, supply room, the weapons locker, and the vehicle garage.
Lance was now making his way to the command room, to quickly steal any information before escaping from this casket.
As he quickly and silently, moved between the halls he stumbled upon a group of soldiers leaving the mess hall.
"Lieutenant let's meet up with the Captain Osborne over at command he should be done with his report by now." The soldiers all agreed then began walking towards the command room.
Lance waited for the group of soldiers to leave before quietly following them.
'Shit getting into that room will be almost impossible with that many people inside.' Not really knowing what to do, Lance continued to follow the group of soldiers to the command room.
As they got closer to command, Lance began to notice more and more cameras over every hallway. He would wait on the group to leave before, quickly planting the looping devices on the cameras. Lance quickly finished with the cameras then closed in on the soldiers.
They stood in front of a set of double doors, with one of them swiping their card to open the door.
Lance activated his cloak and followed the men inside. The room was large with multiple levels going down; each level held many computer interfaces, and a large holographic map sat at the lower levels.
Lance watched the soldiers walked down to the man standing beside the holographic map. The man tapped away at the map, marking different points around Northor.
Not seeing anyone near a side row of computers; Lance moved over to them and plugged in a chip into the device. The device began to copy every file within the computer.
Noticing the device would take a while Lance began to worry. His cloak wouldn't last long; if used continuously it could cloak someone for an 30 minutes at best.
With nothing else to do, Lance decided to plant a few charges around the room while he waits. He set one charge close to the main doors; then one by a group of computers on the lower levels.
15 minutes go by while he slowly plants the charges. As he was making his way down to the main computer and holographic map, a alarm went off within the facility.
"What's going on?" The Osborne stopped what he was doing and looked around. One of the soldiers began typing away at a computer, then turned back around.
"It looks like a group of guards went missing outside and inside the facility. The guard crew that comes to take over their shifts never saw the other guards after a hour or so and began to worry." The Twi'lek soldier sent the report over to the main computer.
"Someone might have infiltrated inside, M1 team begin sweeping the building. Hostiles are to be captured alive, we need to get all the information we can out of them." The group of soldiers saluted Osborne then quickly ran up to the doors.
Lance quickly moved to the other side of the main computer and began planting the last charge. Once he finished he stood up and began walking back to the computer up top.
However, before he could walk away his cloak began to flicker. For a half a second his body was clear to see for anybody looking.
"What the hell?!" Osborne noticed a figure phase in and out of view.
"The intruder is cloaked!"
Osborne pulled out his blaster and pointed it towards Lance's last known position. He taped a small red button on the main computer then looked around.
"Give up, this room will be filled with soldiers in a few minutes, you have nowhere to run!"
Lance moved around Osborne to a higher level then fired a stun shot at him. The shot hit him in the back, quickly knocking him out.
Not knowing how long he had, Lance went up to the computer and pulled the chip. The chip was only able to get 70% of the data on the local network.
Lance moved to the door and opened them, he could hear a large amount of footsteps coming down the hall to his right.
He ran down the left hall with blaster in hand; alarms sounded all over the facility as he ran back towards the disposal area.
Once he was a few halls away from his escape, his cloak finally turned off leaving him visible for anyone to see.
Lance switched his blaster to kill mode and cautiously moved through the hallways. A pair of soldier were running down the halls towards Lance's area.
Lance rolled into the hallway then quickly shot two blasts at the men; one shot hit and the other missed. The lucky soldier dropped down and began firing back at Lance.
"Swoosh!" "Swoosh!" "Bang!" "Bang!"
Multiple shots flew past each others head as they both dodged around the hall, using doors and the walls as cover.
Lance got cover behind the wall down another hallway. He pulled out a flash grenade and readied himself.
He took a peaked to check the guards position, but he had to quickly pull his head back to dodge a incoming blaster shot.
With a basic understanding of were the soldier hid; Lance tossed the grenade down the hall and moved back behind the wall. A second goes by before he hears the soldier yell in pain.
Lance quickly runs down the hall then shoots the disoriented soldier twice, killing him.
With the threat out of the way he runs over to the disposal area and finds the sewer opening he entered from. He jumps down back into the sewers and covers the manhole.
He pulls out the detonator charge and sets it to blow in 3 minutes. With the bombs armed and ready, he checks his map for the other sewer exits and quickly runs through the filthy tunnels.
Minutes go by as more and more soldiers appear around the facility. They begin to enter the building in large amounts all heavily armed.
As a group of heavy armored soldiers enter the building; explosions start to go off all over the place, shaking the building.
The soldiers outside back away from the building as it begin's to crack all over. The large group of soldiers inside the command room are killed as the explosives go off, destroying the entire room.
The facility began to collapse as the foundations holding the ceiling together came undone. Large amounts of people, were trapped inside as they were buried in a large makeshift coffin.

A/N: Writing a new story called Marvel-War of Souls check it out if your interested. And no I won't be dropping this one, so don't worry.

This was a difficult chapter for me to write, I’m not used to the stealth side of things. But I hoped you all enjoyed it nonetheless.

If you want to support you boy leave a comment and tell me what you think, is there any errors, or better ways of writing certain parts.

I am also writing another story called Marvel-War of Souls. It’s a mix between Marvel and a few different anime I like. So if your interested hope over and give it a quick read.

Thanks for reading.
