Dark Awakening
On a sandy planet with igloo like structures colored the same way as the rest of the world, the lack of water in any form was evident.
Gusts of wind blew rough coarse sand across the planet's surface limiting vision.
Once a HWK-290 that was far larger than other ships of it's model; the HWk-290 ia a vessel popular among smugglers the primary use of it was to transport cargo, the winds began to whip at the the vessel maliciously, as various living beings within the vicinity felt a sense of unease wash over them as a Human with a tall and lanky physique that seemed to be nearly six feet tall with sickly pale skin , eyes aghast appearing to not have slept in days made him have a ghastly visage.
The man hurriedly carried a case, appearing to be on edge he constantly checked aroumd him as he made his way to a building that didn't seem parricularly special beyond a few tarps attached to metal rods being above the doorway. Nobody could identify the contents of the case just by glancing at the man who stood before a building that had a sign written in a language of strange symbols.

'So Hungry'
'So..so.. hungry'
'Hungry'
'Must consume'
These words kept resounding in the shop full of all kinds of gadgets weapons and even some ancient artifacts. Thought the man as he carried the case that held that damn mask, ever since he found it it's caused him nothing but problems.
"I'm telling you nobody would want to buy that old cloth and these pieces of armor either, at most I might be able to sell the mask to some weirdo."
"Come on I want to get rid of these old things."
"I cant buy these items for the amount of credits your asking for maybe someone else will but I'm not, it's just not worth it."
The man quickly closed the case that held the mask and various pieces of armor inside, and left the building irritated he couldn't get rid of the mask.

'Maybe I should just throw this mask away, nobody wants to buy the damn thing anyways.'

Over and over again a dark ancient sounding voice spoke over and over again telling me put it on. I felt my urge to put it on grow by the second as I got closer to my ship I felt as if there were bugs skittering accross my brain, I felt as there little legs traveled around in my skull bringing me a level of discomfort I never thought possible.
My hands moved on their own grabbing the mask and then carefully placed it on my head I felt the soft material touch the back and the sides of my head, and I could feel the cold mask touch my face. Then slowly everything I saw around me was beginning to fade away into the darkness I felt my thoughts being to slow until I began to struggle to think at all.

[POV Darth Nihilus]
I began to recall memories I could salvage from this body such as the year was 3245 LY according to a calendar being used by people on a planet called Lothal. The name of this body was Jared Merrick a smuggler born and raised on Lothal, his family was poor and he wasn't the most wealthy either considering he was a smuggler. And most of all I knew on Coruscant there was a jedi temple where one of our sith temples used to be. None the less this body will suffice so I can make the jedi pay once and for all, for taking everything away from me.
But then I realized I did not feel the hunger I was familiar with it disapeared it was no more. The aches were gone, the feeling of emptiness no more I felt whole yet I could still sense that I was still a wound in the force.
'How? how is my hunger gone? how do I not feel that endless craving that only grew when I ate more, how do I not feel the same emptiness that was once the only thing on my mind.' I tried to think of numerous possible explanations on how this could of happened yet none made any sense. In the end I came to a conclusion.
'How this happened matters little now, what matters is I am alive once more, and now I must regain my strength so at long last I will exact my revenge upon the jedi, and then I will take my place as the emperor of the galaxy. Everyone will know the name Darth Nihilus once more if they have forgotten it.'
'But first I meed to gather information so I might gain some insight on the state of the galaxy as of right now.'
I believed acclimating the memories of my new body could wait until I gainee more information to make sense of everything so I made sure to scour fhe ship for any form of currency or anything I could sell or use for that matter. It was a given information wasn't free.
I began to search through the various compartments and the few crates I had onboard my new ship that my body so graciously provided me. I only found around 100000 credits within a compartment in the sleeping quarters on my ship. I found some stim shots within another compartment aswell as a blaster pistol with 3 power packs.
I observed the features of the pistol, it had a very long barrel that was around 8 inches with the scope seemed to be about 4 inches long it had a worn black handle that seemed to have seen years of use. I couldn't identify any of the capabilities of the gun such as how powerful are the bolts fired, nor how many shots per power pack. I took my mask off for now setting it with the worn plates of armor, and strapped the pistol and brought with me a spare power pack leaving the other two with the rest of my equipment on the table in my personal quarters.
Then I began making my way to the exit on my ship to begin my collection of information, the blast door opened within seconds and as soon as I stepped outside sand was whipped around me I could feel fhe grains of sand already irritating my skin slightly. I made my way from the outdoor landing zone, heading straight towards the town.

Hello everyone I am finally back at long last and I will be updating more than once a week if all goes well it'll be every day and hopefully you enjoyed this chapter its my attempt at a fresh start for this story.
