Chapter Seventeen

I needed a week to recover, minimum.

But I didn't have the time to be lying around for seven days, so on the third day I was walking down the road of the city. There was Imperial presence, naturally, but it was more prominent then usual.

Storm troopers were patrolling the streets actively, at least two walking together, sometimes even three if the street was too populated I was pushing a crate that I actually bought, ugh, holding most of my armor parts.

As I passed another patrol, I felt the force pulse in warning. Whatever it was, it wasn't coming from behind, but from the front. The only problem being that there was nobody there, other then a passing patrol.

I made it a point to not tense, and still the Force around himself. If Force was warning him now of all times, there were a few things that could happen, and I didn't like any of them.

Continuing my walk at a sedated pace, I looked around the street almost casually, none of these people knew who I was, and If I had my way, none of them would. Eventually though, I noticed what the force was warning me about.

There were two men, followed by four knockoff Arc troopers, two at each of their sides, basically creating an arrow head to get through the busy street. One was a man with gray skin with a lanky body and a few red markings on his head. He wore black armor but there were a few flaws that I could count on my hands and I would run out of fingers... There were a lot of things wrong with that armor.

The other man was more robust, but only in width, He wore much the same clothes as the other man but his hat reminded me of a lever, the only thing that distinguished this guy, more so then his clothes, were his pure white eyes.

Either he was blind, or it was a racial trait.

I went on with my business as normal. I was a civilian today, not Ghost, the frequent terrorizer of the empyreal presence on the planet. Just go on with my life like those two weren't even there.

Looks like the universe wasn't on my side today, as the group headed right for me.

Damn it.

"You there! Have you seen this man anywhere?"

The robust man with the blank eyes said while thrusting forward an image projector and I acted like my role dictated. A frightened bitch.

With my shoulders shaking and eyes wide in fear, I looked at the image. Curiously, I have seen this man, every day, actually, in the mirror.

"N-no, sir... That's Ghost, nobody knows where he comes from or where he goes. I- I'm sorry!"

I stepped back anxiously, the shaking becoming more prominent as the Lanky man looked at me curiously, then spared a glance at my crate. If he suspects something, I would be busted and heads would roll. Not mine, but they would roll nonetheless.

He stepped forward with a sense of superiority that only a stick up his ass would grant and strolled over towards me casually.

"What's your name, citizen?"

Can't you just leave already, man? I have somewhere to be.

"M-mario, sir."

He hummed for a moment, before stepping towards the crate and My muscles tensed minutely. Though, no one noticed it. He pressed a hand on the lid and slid it from one end to the other as he walked to stand right in front of the box.

"Well, Mario, Mind telling us what's inside this crate?"

Crap.

"Those are some scrap metal, sir, I was hoping to sell it to the smithy or hopefully get better tools to use."

He raised his none-existent eyebrow as he grasped the lid, but didn't open it. Instead, he hummed again. What was he, the ancient Nokia phone?

"Why would you have so much scrap metal to need a crate to transfer it?"

"My father likes to tinker with old droids, and I picked up on it too, These are just some spare part's that accumulated over the years, since the tools are getting old we thought that it was a good time to get a replacement..."

I mumbled the last part, insinuating that I wasn't doing this with my apparent fathers approval and the bastard hummed again. Seriously, was that a species thing or just him?

"I must agree with your actions, Mario, Old tools-"

He abruptly lifted the lid and stared at... scrap metal inside the box.

"-Have to be replaced. Very well, Go on with your daily task's citizen."

I nodded and grabbed the sides of the crate, starting to push the box again. We both went our separate ways, but I could feel my face morph into a calm one as they got out of sight.

I may or may not have two more Inquisitors to kill. So damn troublesome.

-Later-

"Come on..."

Connecting a wire in the right place, I tightened the bolt and looked over the entire web of wires one more time. They were good, perfect, even.

Raising his hand, I grasp the metallic part that flew into it and placed it in place.... That was, the barrel done. Took only five fucking days! Why? because I basically had to invent a small, yet still effective, cooling system, just so that the thing wouldn't explode in four shots. Because, in case someone hasn't noticed, Lightsabers were damn hot.

Now that the hardest part was done, I needed to make the second hardest part. The magazines. I only had one Krystal that I took from the inquisitor. The fact that there were two more Kyber crystals being wasted on that mockery of a weapon didn't make things easier.

I don't want any more heat on Ghost's back right now.

The only thing that would make this hand-blaster more accurate then the others was one simple thing. The swirling barrel to give the bolt form, to make it spin, instead of shooting from the barrel and hoping for the best. It was such a simple thing, yet absent in such an advanced galaxy.

But I could understand, They weren't firing bullets, they were firing what amounted to energy filled gas, and I would be firing small lightsaber blades.

But how the hell do I fire those blades?

I did have the power cell, field conductor and vortex rings, but they were still in the hilt...

Since the Diatium power cell in naturally recharging, I won't need to worry about ammo unless I actually go to war against both sides of the conflict, but Having at least two spare ones on full charge was necessary.

I will need more of those parts since I wanted two hand-blasters.

I raised my hand and the lightsaber hilt flew in my hand from where I left it.

"Sorry little guy, I will reassemble you when I can."

Oh, great, I was talking to objects now.
