14 Coruscant

The small group consisting of Silas, Anakin, Obi-Wan and Ahsoka arrived inside the Republic's Executive Building and traversed the wide red carpeted hallways, their destination was the Chancellor's office.

As they walked, Clones seemed to have already been stationed in guarding positions as they saluted their passing superiors, but if one looked closer, it was more toward Silas.

Nevertheless, the 4 of them finally stopped in front of a door, and walked in as it slid open.

Silas silently whistled as he glanced around at the Chancellors office.

It was a large room mostly consisting of red and silver, with one desk at back and a few couches all around.

1 Jedi was sitting in front of the Chancellor's desk which was Yoda, with Palpatine himself behind his own desk.

"The heroes finally arrive." Palpatine smiled as Silas and the others stood beside the other Jedi in front of him.

Obi-Wan was about to respond but Silas beat him too it, "You flatter us Chancellor."

Palpatine chuckled, "You are too humble, General. While Master Kenobi and Young Skywalker's feats are nothing easy, I've been informed that if it wasn't for you, our side would have taken immense losses and practically lose the entire battle."

Silas replied honestly as he said, "Indeed, I have to admit if it wasn't for me, things would have turned dire, but I'm confident the Jedi Order and Clone's would have survived, and taken Geonosis even without me."

Palpatine smile grew as he nodded, "I see... Well I believe you all are tired, so shall we get to business."

Yoda silently nodded in confirmation, deciding to observe the meeting.

"General, Master Yoda has told me that he wishes for you to take on a Padawan, and since you are not under the Jedi Order, you do not have to follow their rules. So are you really okay with taking on a Padawan beside Anakin?" Palpatine's eyes held kindness as he looked toward Silas's golden visor.

Silas himself glanced around and noticed Anakin's displeased expression at being a master, while Ahsoka was looking at him worriedly, wondering if he had changed his mind.

"Yes Chancellor, I'm fine with that." He replied confidently.

Ahsoka couldn't help but smirk as Anakin rolled his eyes, he was still unconvinced about this whole Padawan thing, nevertheless he decided to stay silent for now.

Palpatine then continued as his gaze landed on Anakin, "On to the next part of business, while this isn't my jurisdiction, I've been told that you're to become a Jedi Knight, Anakin, I wish to congratulate you."

Anakin's eyes then widened in surprise, "Jedi Knight?"

Obi-Wan could be seen smiling from beside Anakin as he put a hand on his shoulder.

"Indeed, I'm proud of you." He remarked.

Anakin was happy at his comment until he suddenly stopped smiling and narrowed his eyes toward Yoda, "With all due respect Master Yoda, but are you only making me a Jedi Knight so I can became a master for the Padawan?"

Yoda glanced beside him and shook his head, "No Young Skywalker, always ready, you have been. But becoming a master, good lesson, it will be for you."

Anakin sighed as he reluctantly nodded in understanding.

Palpatine then looked back toward Silas, "General, after talking with Master Yoda, we decided to put you as Corp Leader of over 40,000 clones divided into 4 Legions that will be led by Jedi Generals, of course you will be personally leading your own Legion, the 1st Legion most of the time. But if we were ever to have a dangerous mission or be in a crisis, those men would be at your immediate command."

Silas didn't seem surprised as his capabilities and strength have shown that he can lead such a large force if needed. But he knew very well that he'll rarely ever have the entire 40,000 directly under his command, as they will always be separated at different battles all across the galaxy.

Anakin and Ahsoka themselves seemed stunned at the large number of soldiers he would have under his command, but Obi-Wan seemed understanding as he also believed that the Young General could handle it, since he himself also led a Corp.

Palpatine continued speaking as he said, "You will also have a small fleet of ships comprising of 3 Venator Class Star Destroyers and 3 Acclamtor Class Assault Ships beside your Legion with an Admiral to lead them. You and Anakin will be two separate legions joint together temporarily, as we have decided while you two lack experience, you could make up for that by working together."

"And through this, Skywalker could teach you more about the force and Jedi ways, as you yourself can teach him more about battle strategy."

Anakin was slightly surprised at the information as he expected to be partnered up with someone like Obi-Wan because of his lack of experience, but it seemed they believed that if him and Silas worked together, they could be victorious regardless of experience.

Silas nodded, "Understood sir."

This time Silas was somewhat bewildered behind his helmet, as he didn't expect to also get a small fleet like that, but it seems since it's the beginning of the war and their aren't much reliable Jedi Generals or Clone Troopers, he is considered someone of high skill and value.

And while he was of a different jurisdiction, he could be seen as equal rank to Obi-Wan, what they would call a High General, which is one rank above a normal General like Anakin just became.

Palpatine then glanced back toward Anakin, "Anakin you will have the 501st Legion under your command and will ride with Silas's fleet until you prove otherwise that you're capable of having a personal fleet."

Anakin seemed dissatisfied with it when he compared it to Silas's Legion, but understood he had a long way to go until he could earn his own valor similar to Silas, so he simply nodded, "Of course Chancellor, I'll be sure to do my best."

Palpatine concluded the meeting as he said, "That is all for now, I know you all wish to rest."

Master Yoda then spoke up as he stood from his seat, "Tired we are, rest we shall." He then looked toward Anakin, "Official knighting ceremony, later it will be."

Anakin did a curt nod as he watched Yoda leave with Ahsoka and Obi-Wan following behind.

He was about to follow, but noticed Silas remained unmoving, "You coming?"

Silas shook his head, "You go on ahead, there are somethings I wish to speak with the Chancellor about."

Anakin seemed curious but nonetheless turned around and left, leaving Silas and Palpatine alone in the room.

"What is it you wish to talk about Silas?"

Silas took a seat infront of Palpatine as he spoke, "Actually I have a few requests, if you don't mind sir."

Palpatine expression showed confirmation for him to agree as he then continued speaking.

"If possible, I need you to find this man and bring him here." Silas put down a certain circular object which projected a hologram figure of a specifc man and his information onto Palpatine's desk, as he interestedly read it.

"Might I ask why you wish to find this man?"

"I believe he is someone with incredible skills and potential that could prove to be immensely useful for the Republic. While I didn't know you were going to give me a small fleet, I had already planned to request this of you, I wanted to ask you to put this man as my Admiral for the fleet."

Palaptine's eyes slightly widened as he asked, "Are you sure?... From the current information you present, he seems to have no experience or feats that suggest he could be a good Admiral."

"I've been researching to find a good Admiral I can trust from the smallest of crevices and came upon this man's information, and after a more in depth research, I believe him to have potential to be unstoppable as a strategist."

Palpatine hummed contently as he nodded, "Alright, give me a few weeks and I shall find your man... What else can I help with?"

Silas pulled out a square shaped box as it projected a hologram of a vehicle, "I actually had a specific vehicle in mind that I wanted my Legion to start using, and maybe even the entire Grand Republic in due time. I call it the Warthog."

The hologram showed a military like vehicle with 2 seats in the front that had a turret on the back with space for a few more people, it was the Warthog from Halo.

"How interesting that you wish to use such primitive vehicles in the war."

The usage of gasoline engines or even wheels, was seen as old and decrepit in Star Wars, but Silas knew better than that as he calmly retorted.

"Trust me sir, our army has no fast mobile ground vehicles as compared to the Warthog. I believe these could be very useful by adding blaster turrets and reinforcing it with strong steel. By using the primitive methods of gasoline engines, we'll have cheaper vehicles that can save a lot of money and do as good as job as others."

A cunning smile grew on Palpatine's lips as he said, "Indeed you're right, such methods can be proven to be very good..." He then went into a pondering expression as he added, "We should be able to create around 100 before you are deployed again, usually we could do more, but currently we are manufacturing many military ships."

Silas firmly nods, "Of course, I understand sir."

"Is that all?"

"Yes sir."

As Silas stood up and was about to say his goodbyes, Palaptine suddenly asks something.

"Are you working fine with the Jedi?"

Silas raised a brow but nonetheless, answered, "Yeah they seem fine, I haven't had much problems with them... But is there a reason your asking me this, sir?"

Palpatine then remarks, "No, it's just that I had a meeting with Windu before you since he landed earlier, and he seemed to believe that giving you command over a Corp wasn't a good choice. He seemed rather distrustful of you and your capabilities."

Palpatines eyes remained ignored but deep within them Silas could see a cunning glint.

Nevertheless he smiled, "I can't blame him, he believes I have no experience, but he has no idea of the training or experiences I truly have."

"I see." Palpatine muttered, hiding his amused tone before saying one more thing with a smile.

"I just want you to know that I trust you."

Silas nodded appreciatively, "I'll be sure to live up to it sir."

Seeing that they had no more to talk about, they said their goodbyes as Silas exits the office and enters the red luxurious hallways.

But he immediately notices Anakin leaning against the wall with his arms crossed, "Took you long enough."

Silas had an unbothered expression, seemingly not surprised by his presence as he asked, "Did you need something?"

"Yeah, I wanted to talk to you about the Padawan situation." He commented with a discontent expression.

Silas nodded, he knew Anakin had every right to be mad at a Padawan being forced upon him, but even he thought that a Padawan like Ahsoka would do good for Anakin's development as a person.

"Come on follow me, we can talk in my room, surprisingly the Chancellor was gracious enough to put it at the top floor of this current building, something only for executive political members."

Anakin chuckled, "You sure seem close with the Chancellor."

Silas hummed in thought, "Perhaps you could say he was something similar to a father figure, yet he was far from something I would consider a father, but since the day I was born, he has taken care of me and made sure I've been trained to my fullest potential."

Anakin silently nodded as they continued to walk side by side, but Silas himself seemed distracted, looking ahead.

Anakin then looked forward too and saw a Togruta Jedi who he recognized as Master Shaak Ti walking ahead of them.

"Does someone have a crush?" Anakin questioned amusedly.

Silas lightly shook his head as he bluntly responded, "Rather than have a crush, it's more of a sexual interest, because as you know, us clones have had no contact with actual beautiful women, and while our hormones are usually manipulated to decrease our sexual drive, since I'm a bit of a unique case, I still have my normal sex drive..."

"And seeing someone like Master Shaak Ti, you can't blame me for having such thoughts."

Anakin's smirk widened, "Then shoot your shot, because I'll tell you this, Jedi are forbidden from having love," He bitterly remarked, before his smirk reformed, "But they are allowed to have sexual intercourse as long as their isn't any attachment in it."

"Are you supposed to be supporting such behavior as a Jedi?" Even though Silas asked such a question, he couldn't deny that Anakin was right. 

Anakin lightly laughed, "Trust me, I might be biased because of my situation, but even Master Muundi has had sex multiple times, but I won't lie that's a bit of a special situation since his species were dying and they needed to reproduce..."

Before Silas could say anything, he heard a voice call out to them from ahead.

"General Raven, I have sensed your gaze on me the entire time I've been walking, do you need something?" Shaak Ti asked with a curious brow.

'Well might as well see where it goes...'

Silas could care less if he got rejected or accepted, so he then walked forward as he coolly mumbled,

"Wish me luck..."

Anakin instantly disappeared, before reappearing in the background as he could be seen holding a thumbs up as he secretly observed from the distance peeking his head from a wall.
