Star Wars: Desolation

(This is a Star Wars Old Republic novel. WARNING!!! Although I added the r-18 tag, I'm not sure if I will add adult content, or if I do, how much. I do hope you all enjoy!) On the run from vengeful nightsister forces, Ragu, a young zabrak warrior, is captured by a group of slavers who came to the planet in search of some valuable product. Ragu does his best to fight back, but is quickly defeated and knocked unconscious. Upon waking up, Ragu finds himself chained, and kneeling in front of a terrifying figure. Clothed in all black and skin blood red, it is impossible for anyone in the galaxy to mistake the figure in front of him for anything other than what it was. A pureblood Sith Lord.

Preparations

(Small note. I changed Kaida's height to around 5ft. I prefer it that way.)

"Good. Now focus on extending the darkness outside of your body to grasp the orb." Kaida instructs as she stands watching Ragu meditating on the floor.

It has been two weeks since the duo officially allying together. Since then, Kaida had been instructing Ragu on how to use the dark side.

Originally, it had been going quite well, but after learning how to channel the force through his body, his progress had slowed down. At least as far as the force is concerned.

When it comes to lightsaber combat, Ragu excels. In only a few weeks, he had successfully learned the basics of form 4 Ataru. The acrobatic nature of the style pair very well with Ragu's lean and athletic body.

Kaida is very pleased with Ragu's progress. Originally she had been worried about his talent, as there was no guarantee he would be any more talented than a brute. Thankfully this is not the case.

Ragu has sweat pouring downs his shirtless torso as he strains, the dark side surging through his body. With his arm outstretched, he is visibly shaking as he attempts to force the metal orb in front of him to float.

The orb slowly hesitates before rolling towards him. After a short moment, the orb stops in front of Ragu.

"Well. It's not nothing. But you still need to do better. If that's all you have, then you should give up now." She growls in annoyance before sending a quick hard kick to his ribs.

Taking the hit, Ragu groans in pain as he is sent flying across the room. His ribs scream out as he crashes into the wall.

He hurts his teeth in frustration. "Fucking pathetic." He groans to himself. 'Why the hell is moving one tiny orb so hard?'

While she has been quite happy with his progress so far, she can't lighten up on him. The boy knows nothing of the dark side. So it is her job to instruct him. Even if it means she had to be unnecessarily cruel to do so.

"Again." says, a harsh glint in her eyes.

Nodding, Ragu sits back down, crosses his legs, and reaches out, tapping into the dark side. Once again, he reaches out, grabbing the orb with his power.

Despite the difficulty in using the force, the powerful feeling of the dark side ripples through his body. It's addicting.

As he continues to train, he slowly grows more and more proficient with the force. However, sparring is really been the highlight of his training.

Recently, he has adapted his style to use two sabers, both of which are on the shorter side. The first one has a blade around 24" in length, rather than the standard 36". The other is only 16" in length.

One would originally think that these lengths would put him at a disadvantage, but rather they work quite well in his hands. Besides, standing at 5ft8" tall, longer blades would be a little awkward to dial wield.

During his time as a warrior on his home world, Ragu had gotten very used to using his body to strike along with the weapons he is holding.

Because of how close quarters his weapons can be used at, he can not only make fighting much more awkward for his opponents, he can attack using his horns, feet, elbows, and even his razor sharp teeth.

Kaida slashes at the young Zabrak with her sword, trying to keep him back.

Deflecting it with his off hand, he takes a large step forwards trying to close the gap.

Gritting her teeth, Kaida launches herself backwards before releasing a powerful force blast to create distance.

Taking the force blast, Ragu leans into it, and channels the force through his body to prevent himself from being sent flying backwards.

After the blast passes, Ragu once again raced forwards. Unleashing a flurry of blows, Kaida is driven further and further back until she finds herself trapped at the corner of the room.

Despite this fact, it's clear who has the advantage. While Kaida remains unwounded, Ragu is riddled with cuts and bruises. This is despite the fact that Kaida has yet to use her most powerful technique.

Ragu remembers it well. The searing pain of lightning running through his whole body. It was even more intense then when he was shocked by the collar.

If she decided to use that, currently, there is not much he can do.

Bursting forwards with his last bit of strength, he unleashes his strongest attacks so far.

Pressed with her back to the corner, Kaida blocks every strike…. Except one.

One of the attacks from Ragu reaches her, slicing her cheek ever so slightly. The cold sharp steel upon her flawless face infuriates her. Despite the fact that she can simply heal it after the dual, she is pissed.

The moment it passes her, she unleashes a powerful wave of force lightning.

The flashing and cackling of the blue energy fills the room, sending Ragu flying. The energy knocking the boy unconscious.

She groans, stretching out her limbs after knocking the boy unconscious. The sparring matches have all turned into good exercise recently.

This brings a smile to her face. She had made the right call in trying to turn the Zabrak into her ally early. The boy had potential.

While he does struggle with Force ability, he is still above average. He can only really be considered to struggle when compared to geniuses like Kaida herself. When compared to the average Sith, Ragu is still better.

With the academy starting tomorrow, he has finally reached a stage where she feels he will be able to prove a useful ally.

Picking him up, she gently placed him on the bed. As she does so, she can't help but to glance at the boy's face.

Despite the fact that it is covered in a few scars, it's easy to tell the boy is of similar age to herself…. And he is quite handsome.

His pale skin paired with the tribal tattoos, razor sharp teeth, and long crown of horns makes for quite the appealing appearance.

He looks savage. She can't help but to like that.

Shaking these thoughts out of her head, she walks over and begins to meditate.

"Tomorrow….. My life truly begins…."
