30 Leaving Hoth, Alone

[A/N: Enjoy this two days in a row upload. I'm not going to do it often, but the stockpile is healthy enough to do it for you guys this once. Besides, I bet you want to read it with the cliffhanger I left. I didn't think people would like this wish-fulfillment. This story is basically for my own pleasure, and I write it specifically for me, cool that other people like it.]

As the destruction continues around me, I try and reach through the force and feel my parents. Someone is shielding them. I push against it, and it begins to crack and break. I'm too far from wherever they are to break through fully. I bring my focus back to the current situation. I look around at the devastation as I fall from my spot in the air. I land with a slight boom. My skill in force augmentation makes the feat easy. I feel for my Master, and she is alive. She is safe too. I turn my head back to the base, and it's clearer now on Hoth. The Jedi lied to me, kept the situation of my parent's from me. I have to find out what happened to them. Darth Marr said they were on Coruscant. The Emporer sent people to get them, so that's where I'll start.

I leap from my spot and exit the crater that used to hold The Star of Coruscant. I see the path that leads out of this graveyard of ships, but now it's just a scrapyard. I run at full speed and see the destruction I unleashed in my anger and rage. I don't care about what my Master would say right now. I can see now that it was a mistake to join the Jedi. The Sith aren't an option. I should focus on getting off Hoth and to Coruscant. I continue running through the cold environment of Hoth. Nothing slows me down as I run to the republic base. As I'm running, I can see Imperials up ahead, blocking the path. They see me and begin to fire. I stick out my left hand and lift all their barricades and them off the ground. I throw my hand to the left, and they all follow the movement.

I run through where the barricade once was, and I start thinking about what I should do to leave with a ship. They won't just give me one, so I'll have to take it even if I have to use force to do so. I continue running through the endless pillows of snow on Hoth. How this planet supports life is only thanks to the force. It's like Tatooine. Both these planets have strong connections to the force. After running at full speed for around 10 minutes, I finally see the base off in the distance. I look up and see there is a battle happening in the upper atmosphere. There are a few republic cruisers and empire cruisers battling it out. I make it to the base, and personnel is running around trying to handle the situation. I look, and I see an unoccupied ship.

I make my way towards it, but before I can. I'm interrupted by an annoying Commander. Jesir decides this is the time to bother me. "Padawan Opal! Where is Grandmaster Shan?!" He runs up and catches his breath ever so slightly. I don't have time for this. I turn around and walk towards the ready ship. I'm stealing it for all I care. Whoever it belongs to can come and find it after I'm done with it. "Hold on! We have a very dire situation going on here! No ships can come and go until the battle above the base is over!" I growl to myself in frustration as he says those words. I turn to him, and I throw out my hand. He shoots across the room and hits the wall hard, struggling to breathe. Everyone stops what they are doing to watch.

I let go of him, and he falls to the ground unconscious. The ships above are going to be a problem. I run towards the entrance and head outside. I jump on top of the base and stare at the battle above. I take a deep breath and gather power in the force. I let my breath out and continue gathering power. I take another deep breath, and I reach my hands out. I grip the imperial ships with the force. I let my breath out and take another one. I squeeze my hands in unison, and I can see the ships above begin to crumble in my force crush. I put more of my power into the crush, and I begin to drag my hands down. The ships respond by turning towards Hoth. I put a little more power in, and I throw my hands down. All 4 cruisers get torn into separate pieces as they shoot towards Hoth with Force.

They hit the surface hard and cause a tsunami of snow to be hurled towards the base. I throw my hands out and part the snow wave coming towards the base. The snow settles, and the base is still able to launch ships. I jump off the top of the base and head back inside. This time I'm met with several blasters pointed at me, with Jesir leading the men and women. "In the name of the Galactic Republic, you are under arrest for attacking a commanding officer in a combat scenario." I stare at him and all the soldiers. They don't know what I just did. "Please, Padawan Opal. Make this easy on yourself..." I force pull my lightsaber hilt off my belt and ignite it. I can't have them knowing what ship I took. They all see this, and I feel how much fear they are all in.

I lunge forward and begin to dismember soldier after soldier, deflecting blaster bolts and sending others flying with the force. I get into the center of the group, and before they can react. I gather the force in my core, and I float off the ground slightly. I throw my hands out and unleash all the power I built up. Everyone and everything in the room is sent flying. Anyone to close was entirely disintegrated. I stand at the center of the explosion and deactivate my lightsaber. I hear some crates move, and I see Jesir stand up bloody and slightly broken. "You won't get away with this... You killed men and women on your side..." I shoot my right hand up, and I lock him in a force grip. I bring him in front of me and make him lock up and kneel on both knees.

I move him towards me and my right hand pressed against his temple. I close my eyes and begin to tear a path through his head. I find the hanger commands and security codes so I can leave. I open my eyes, and his eyes are rolled into the back of his head. He is likely brain dead now. I wasn't gentle in the slightest. I let his body go, and he goes limp and hits the ground. I make my way to the hanger controls, and I deactivate the security systems preventing takeoff. I enter the ship, and I fire up the power. I input the command codes, and the hanger door opens. I sit in the pilot's seat and shove the stick forward. The ship quickly leaves the hanger, and I pull it up and towards the atmosphere. Once in outer space, I activate the hyperdrive and set the destination to Coruscant.

I'm going to be followed there, but now it will be by the republic and the empire. I don't know how Master Satele will react to this, but that doesn't matter to me anymore. She lied, and so did the Jedi. I'm on my own now. I stand up from the pilot's seat and start checking out what the ship has. I'm going to be in hyperspace for a few days, so finding something to do would be nice. I continue searching around the ship, and it's pretty up-to-date on everything. It even has a training room for Jedi's, just like the one at the Fleet Command Center. I head for the sonic shower. First, I have to wash the blood off my face and clean my clothes in the sonic washer and dryer. Killing people with the force gets bloody, unlike with a lightsaber. I need this clean, though. It'll wash away the evil I have done today.
