85 Chapter 83

The Muunilinst battle was not even a true battle since it didn't even last that long. In fact Admiral Oscar was highly disappointed that the Confederacy forces didn't last that long.

"Admiral we are in position shall we launch the transport ships now" Asked Vice Admiral Ulitis

"Yes Launch all Transport's and start the invasion process" Said Admiral Oscar

"Aye Sir" Said Vice Admiral Ultitis as he turned around and ordered all the transport's to launch from the fleet.

That's when Admiral Oscar had walked over to the central terminal "Cortana can you open up a call to his highness" Asked Admiral Oscar.

Cortana had had a A.I. core on every Command ship with smaller A.I. cores on the rest of the ship's in the fleet.

The smaller A.I. cores would offer helpful intelligence and suggest various solutions to different situations to help the captain of the ship. The smaller A.I. cores while not Cortana herself was an extension of Cortana that had similar abilities.

But Cortana's Main Core would be on the Command ship's of the different fleet's so that the Fleet Admiral's can contact Alexander directly regarding various situations and make report's.

"Connecting now Admiral" Said Cortana as Admiral Oscar straightened him self up and made sure that he looked presentable.

Once the call connected Oscar gave a slight bow "Your Highness I have called to report about our mission to Muunilinst" Said Admiral Oscar

"Go ahead and report Admiral" Replied Alexander eager to hear about what was going on.

"We have destroyed the enemy fleet and have taken a few prisoner's recovered from the wreckages of the enemy fleet. And the invasion of the planet is currently under way. I estimate that within a month we will have full control of the planet your highness" Reported Admiral Oscar.

"Very good admiral, continue with the invasion and you have my permission to act freely and continue with your objectives, but keep in mind that your action's reflect on the Terran Ascendency so remember well" Said Alexander.

"Of course your highness I will not tarnish your name nor the name of the Empire" Said Admiral Oscar as Alexander nodded and ended the call.

Meanwhile on Coruscant Alexander was on his way to his ship to leave the planet since he had already met with the Chancellor again before leaving and explored some of the places on the planet.

Before Alexander left the planet he had already made some agreement's with the Chancellor, Though it was nothing too major since anything major would require the Senate to vote on it.

So all they could do was sign trade agreement's, military refueling and repair, and the Terran Ascendency was allowed to establish an embassy on Coruscant.

At least for now until the Chancellor consolidates power allowing him to make more decision that benefit the Republic.

But by the time that happens it would be too late for the Republic since Alexander can see that the Galactic Empire has something planned for the Republic. Especially with out quiet they are being lately.

But it wasn't his problem so he didn't think about it too much and just headed back to his ship.

Once he reached his ship his Yrena and her fleet had jumped out of the system while Alexander and his escort fleet left the system as well.

Meanwhile on Kamino, a battle was raging between the Galactic Empire and the Republic. The Galactic Empire has decided to take over Kamino from the republic to both limit their ability to reinforce their Clones.

It was a surprise attack that would no doubt start the war between the Galactic Empire and the Republic. Defending the planet was Qui-gon with his young padawan Anakin and Jedi knight Obi-wan Kenobi along with other Jedi.

Qui-gon was dispatched immediately once the attack was reported along a Republic fleet. But their opponent this time was one of the Galactic Empire's Grand Admirals.

Plus compared to the Republic the Galactic Empire has been building up their military since their foundation. So the fleet that the Republic sent was not strong enough to beat the Grand Admiral's fleet.

Even so the Jedi and the Clones fought hard against the Galactic Empire to allow for the Kaminoans to escape and flee the planet since the Admiral for the Republic fleet already knew that they would not win this battle against the Galactic Empire.

Reinforcements for the Republic was already under way, but the Republic fleet could not hold on for the time that they needed to for reinforcement to arrive.

So the only thing they could do was hold on long enough to allow the Kaminoans to escape and flee the planet from the Galactic Empire. But the Kaminoans were not going anywhere. 

They would not abandon their homeworld and had decided to stay. Faced with a difficult decision the Admiral had to choose preserving the fleet for the return to Kamino or risking his fleet to try and wait for reinforcements.

He didn't like the idea but what could he do when the circumstances had changed once the Galactic Empire had attacked Kamino.

"Order all ground troops to retreat and make sure to get all the Jedi back on board before we leave" Shouted the Republic Admiral.

The men onboard didn't try to argue nor question his decision since all around them they could see ship's taking heavy damage while the Empire ship's were not taking that much damage at all.

On the surface of Kamino the order of the Admiral was relayed to the ground forces who had initiated a grand retreat of the planet. But many clones disobeyed order's and had stayed on the surface to fight for their home and defend it from the Galactic Empire.

Those clones were left behind while the rest boarded the gunship's and retreated back to the fleet to get our of the system.

All Jedi who were still alive had made it back to the fleet while the ones who didn't had already died.

Qui-gon had walked onto the bridge of the ship with the Admiral "Admiral are we truly leaving the system like this" asked Qui-gon since as he was on the ground he didn't understand the situation that was going on in space.

"Master Qui-gon our fleet has taken heavy losses while you have been on the surface fighting and we haven't been able to dish out the same damage to the Imperial Fleet who has had the advantage the entire time. This I am forced to make the difficult decision of retreating from Kamino for now so that we can link up with our reinforcement's and launch another attack to retake the planet" Explained the Admiral

Qui-gon looked around and could see the situation for himself so he didn't try to persuade the admiral otherwise.

"Prepare for Jump to Hyperspace and get us out of here" ordered the Republic admiral 

The navigation officer charge the hyper drives along with the rest of the fleet. And once they were ready the remaining Republic ship's jumped to Hyperspace.

The rest of the Imperial forces had invaded the planet and destroyed the last remaining clone resistance and taken control of all the cities of the Kaminoans.

And now Kamino was for now at the mercy of the Galactic Empire.
