129 Chapter 126
A shuttle had landed at the Courtyard of the Governors palace while soldiers stood in formation outside the doors of the shuttle. The two Guardian Knights were standing at the front alongside the Commander of the Terran Forces on Circarpous IV.
On their knees in front of the Guardian Knights and the Commander was the captured soldiers who had their hands tied and mouths covered. The only thing they could do now was to await their fate.
As soon as the shuttle doors opened the Soldiers snapped to attention while shouting in unison "We Greet his Highness".
Alexander walked down the ramp of shuttle his eyes focused on the group of prisoners in front of him. As he continued walking his gaze shifted towards the three men in front of him who were the two Guardian Knights and the Commander of the Garrison. Trailing behind him was the Commander who had came here previously and Abeloth.
As Alexander approached them the two Guardian Knights kneeled directly while the Commander performed a military Salute something that all members of the military are required to do when greeting their superiors and in the presence of the Royal Family.
The Guardian Knights were to kneel in the presence of Alexander specifically because to them he is a Divine being alongside Abeloth.
Alexander addressed the two Guardian Knights who were kneeling before him, saying "You may stand." He then turned to the commander of the Garrison and said, "As for you, Commander, you can relax and be at ease."
The Commander Complied and had relaxed his body a little but he was still tense since this was the Emperor in front of him.
"Now bring that Governor before me" Ordered Alexander as two of the soldiers in formation had moved quickly and grabbed the Governor bring him in front of Alexander.
The two soldiers continued to hold him while Alexander looked at the Governor like he was an idiot.
"It's a shame really" Said Alexander as he paused before he continued "Now because of the decision of one person a lot of possibly innocent people will have to die today"
The Governor along with the rest of the soldiers faces turned pale since the Guards expected maybe to be put into labor or harshly punished but not death. Some of them wanted to say something about this punishment since it was too cruel and all the blame should be on the Governor.
Of course Alexander wasn't really going to kill all the Guards since one could say that they were simply following the orders of the Governor who was protected by Arcadian Law. And one glance into their head and Alexander could tell that most of them were afraid of what would happen to them should they have disobeyed orders from the Governor.
Meanwhile the Governor himself whose name is note even worth mentioning wanted to run away but he was being held down by the two soldiers who would not allow him.
Alexander could feel the emotions circulating inside of the Governors head and had directly kicked him in his face which sent him flying about 10ft.
The two soldiers looked at each other and were glad that they let go and the right moment because if not then they would have been sent flying as well.
Abeloth, who stood behind him with the Commander, placed a hand on Alexander's shoulder. "We shouldn't kill him just yet," she stated, as she also wanted to see the Governor suffer for his actions.
"I wasn't going to kill him yet, just wanted to make an example out of him" Said Alexander as he sensed a large group of people gathering at the entrance of the Governor's Palace.
And not too long later the Commander of the Garrison had received news that thousands of people had gathered in front of the Palace and were shouting to free the Governor.
"Your highness" Called out the Commander before he was stopped as Alexander already knew what was going on.
"Commander get your men to the front but leave a few to take care of the remaining captured Palace Guards. I shall be their as well to address the people with the Governor" Said Alexander as the two soldiers had picked the Governor back up and dragged him back in front of Alexander.
"You two bring him along" Ordered Alexander as he turned and started walking towards the front gate followed by Abeloth and both Commanders.
The two soldiers naturally complied and started to drag the unconscious Governor as they followed Alexander.
From the courtyard to the Front was not a long walk and they had arrived their within 10 minutes. At the front the Arcadian soldiers were standing in front blocking the Civilians from entering the Governors Palace.
As soon as Alexander walked up the crowd had turned from shouting to gasps as they recognized the face of Alexander and Abeloth who was beside him.
Nobody within Terran controlled space didn't know who the Emperor and the Empresses were.
"Look his Highness is here" Shouted one of the civilians.
"Your highness please see reason and release the Governor and kick those filthy slaves off of the planet" Said another Civilian referring to the people who fled Hutt controlled space. They called them slaves because as far as they can see Hutt controlled space was filled with slaves who often tried to flee for a better life.
But the people of Circarpous IV is not open to the idea of lowly slaves being able to live off of their land.
As for Alexander his answer to that request was obvious right? "No those people shall remain here and will continue to receive support from the Government"
"Your Highness the people demand this so why won't you listen to them" said a man who seemed to be the leader of the mob as he was standing in front of everybody and all the others agreed with him.
"Demand?" Questioned Abeloth as she looked at Alexander wondering what his response would be.
Alexander looked at this mob like they were small ants who were getting quite annoying the more time passed "To demand something you must first have the power to enforce that Demand" said Alexander as he glanced over the crowd.
"And from what I can see none of you have that power nor will you ever have that power. The Governor disobeyed a Royal Order and now he will be punished and anybody who sides with him.... well just know that I didn't bring enough cuffs for thousand of people" Alexander made it clear that he wasn't going to show any mercy.
"Then we won't leave until the Governor is released" Shouted the leader of the mob was the crowd started to act aggressive and had started throwing things at the soldiers. They were even grabbing on the soldiers weapons trying to take them away from them. But the Terran soldiers stood strong and blocked the Mob from moving them even an inch.
Alexander didn't say anything since the Terran soldiers had started to move on their own and formed a line in front of him blocking all the things that were thrown.
Then that's when all the soldiers heard the order "Ready your weapons" was all Alexander said and his order was followed without hesitation.
Meanwhile the Mob leader smiled since he knew that this was just a farce as the Emperor himself wouldn't give the order to kill innocent civilians in cold blood.
But time seemed to slow down around the Mob Leader while he questioned himself again 'He won't kill innocent people right'
That's when Alexander gave the final order "Fire" All the Terran soldiers opened fire on the crowd of civilians. Each soldier showed no hesitation since the crowd had even assaulted their fellow brothers in arms.
Alexander's face showed no emotion as he watched the mob civilians get shot down. He had no regrets with his decision since it seems that people are starting to forget who is in control of their lives.
While they do have lot's of freedoms they need to also respect those who are at the top. Plus Alexander disliked those who held Xenophobic views as that type of thinking weakened civilizations and caused too much trouble.
