Daughter of House Martok

"Eroga… Daughter of Drex, of House Martok…" Jaidaa paused, thought about that name, and then laughed out loud, "I thought you would be running your Great House from your estate on Qo'nos by now." She flung her hands to and fro mocking the Klingon on the floor. "What would your Grandmother Sirella and Mother Unahi think of you now!? Serving as a lowly Operations Officer aboard a Starfleet Vessel! Serving under a Male Captain!" she kneeled down inches from her face, "On her knees, bound and broken… Oh how the mighty House of Martok has fallen."

Eroga ground her teeth in anger. As the mocking words pulled memories of how Eroga came to be said Operations Officer aboard the USS Nexus.

Eroga grew up as the only daughter of Drex, Grandaughter of Martok and Sirella, niece of Worf and Dax. Raised within the esteemed Klingon House of Martok. Where she was groomed from a young age to uphold the honor and glory of her family's name, to uphold the traditions of a high Klingon house. As well as the prestige, poise, grace, and honor that the lofty position held.

However, from a young age, Eroga felt constrained by the rigid expectations and traditions of Klingon society. While she grew into a respectable warrior and ethos of her people, she yearned for a life beyond the confines of constant battle, conquest, glory, but most of all the petty blood feuds ever present between the other houses.

Blood feuds which were always caused by some cousin disrespecting some other houses' aunt or some other pathetic excuse. Still, she bit her lip and held her tongue and behaved as a good Klingon daughter should.

As Eroge matured into a fine klingon woman, her discontent with Klingon traditions only grew. She questioned the need for constant conflict, avenging the pathetic blood feuds, all in the name of family honor. Year after year, she came to realize that her life would never change until the day she grew old and died, a slow, meaningless, dishonorable death of old age. She sought a different path that aligned more closely with her own values of honor, integrity, and personal freedom.

Feeling suffocated by the expectations her mother and grandmother placed upon her, with expectations of her taking over the Matriarchal role of House Martok, she made the bold decision to leave her house behind forever and seek independence, and knew exactly who she needed to seek out for such independence.

"So you really want to leave your home and join Starfleet like Worf did?" inquired Ezri Dax, fellow honorable daughter of House Martok, and Eroga's favorite aunt, trusted confidant, and personal counselor about the frustrations of "Klingon Honor." Ezri handed Eroga a cup of hot something to her.

Accepting the offering, Eroga sank into her chair, contemplating her future. "I'm not looking to join Starfleet or attend the academy," she explained. "I feel I may be too old to join now, and I have already served in the Klingon armada and I am fully capable of working on a star ship." Eroga replied, sipping her drink, "But I also have no desire to serve on a Klingon vessel, or be Matriarch of House Martok for the rest of my life." she blustered.

Thinking about her favorite niece's rather unique situation, Captain Ezri Dax, thought about a new venture that her close friend, Anzyl Praxas was said to be leading. "I… may have an intriguing option for you." Ezri tilted her head, thinking how her niece would be the perfect fit for this new endeavor she heard wind about.

Soon Eroga found herself on a telecommunication meeting with Starfleet Admiral Quinn, as he was offering her the position of Chief Operations Officer, as well as Chief Representative of the Klingon Empire aboard the USS Nexus. Wholeheartedly accepting the position, and joining the crew of the Nexus offered Eroga the opportunity to break free from the shackles of Klingon tradition. To explore strange new worlds, and seek out new life and new civilizations.. The diverse and expansive nature of the Nexus crew, with its members hailing from all corners of the galaxy and embracing a wide range of ideas and beliefs, appealed to her desire for adventure and discovery.

Soon, aboard the Nexus, Eroga found a sense of belonging among individuals who valued diversity, cooperation, and mutual respect. She embraced the opportunity to learn from her fellow crewmates and contribute her skills and expertise to their shared mission. In the process, she forged strong bonds of camaraderie and friendship, finding a new family among the stars.

By leaving behind the confines of her Klingon heritage and embracing the freedom of life aboard the Nexus, Eroga embarked on a journey of self-discovery and personal growth. She remains fiercely proud of her Klingon heritage but is determined to forge her own path and define her own destiny on her terms.

She is the Chief Operations Officer of the most technologically, socially, and scientifically advanced ship in the Khitomer Alliance. And nothing anyone can say was going to change that.

"Say it louder so that I can hear you clearly Orion." Eroga muttered under her breath, adjusting her hands behind her back.

"I said…" Jaidaa reiterated, lowering her face inches away from the bound Klingon's face, "Oh how the mighty House of Martok has…"

BAM!!

Eroga smashed her rigid Klingon forehead into the fair Orion woman's face, knocking her out cold.
