Sing Praises

Unable to bear standing in the room for longer, Leslie rushed out of the room. As she strode out of the hallway, tears fell down from her eyes. Laura who was passing by frowned at that and called after her.

But Leslie ignored her.

Wondering what the issue was about, Laura entered Valerie's room and voiced out, "What happened? I just saw Leslie run out, crying. Did you say anything to her? Can't you be kind to her? She was worried sick for you these days. You know how much she adores you."

Unaffected by all that Laura had to say, Valerie said, "I told her that she wasn't needed anymore. She should find someone else to befriend."

Disbelief crossed through Laura's expression. As a psychiatrist, she was able to understand people more deeply than others and almost had the impression that Valerie cared for Leslie.

"Why?" asked Laura.
