Star Children

---------------- My name is Star Tel, and I am going to die in one year. Basically, long story short, I have a disease, that in exchange for special powers, it kills me. Oh, and I have absolutely no memories about my past. Plus, weird things have been happening recently. Well, weirder than normal at least. Summary: Problems: Too many. Solutions: Too little. So, I’m basically screwed. I've done, seen, and heard things that I wasn't supposed to, and now I'm afraid I know too much. I only hope it's not too late to fix my mistakes... ---------------- Hey everyone! This is just a quick note for readers. I just wanted to let everyone know that my schedule for uploading chapters isn't that consistent, but I'll try to update it sometime every week, at 3:00pm-6:00pm. This is just a goal for me, so I might not upload it at that time every time, but I'll still try to. If you have any questions, or constructive critisism, feel free to comment on any chapter, preferably the latest one, as I might not check the older ones. Thanks for taking a moment to read this, and my story, and I hope you enjoy!

I stepped back. They all stayed in the exact same position as before. I took another step. Still, no movement. Was this… my power? I could stop time? I didn't seem to be affected, but they certainly did. I stared for a couple more seconds, before sprinting back to my room. Suddenly, color returned. I glanced back, fearing that my power had deactivated but… surrounding the intruders was a sphere. It seemed to make everything that was inside of it monochrome.

Once I reached my door, I knocked, and quickly said "It's me, Open the door!" I heard some shuffling from the other side, and then Ram said "I… can try, but it'll take a while for me to recover my energy. What happened? Are you okay?" I sighed. "Yeah, I'm fine, but the intruders might catch up to me any second, so I kinda need it now." Ram sighed. "Even If I did manage to lift this up, the door only opens up from this side. I can't really lift this up, and open the door at the same time." I thought for a second, before coming up with an Idea. "This might not work, but just try to lift the sheet up, and tell me when there's enough space to open it." A pause. "Alright, I'll try. But this plan of yours better work." I heard a creak as what I assume was the metal sheet blocking the door lifted. "Al… right… It's… up." I stretched my hands out, and tried to access the same feeling I had gotten before when I had activated my power. I focused, and then… A small monochromatic sphere appeared at the top of the door.

"What the- What's that!?" "That… is my power. I think that I can control time in small spaces… although right now I only know how to stop time..." "...No, it's still moving, but just very, very slowly. …So maybe you can stop, and slow down time?" "Maybe, but I kinda still need this door open." "Right." The door swung inward, and I sprinted inside. The door automatically closed, and the metal sheet kept slowly falling down. I used my power again to deactivate the sphere, and the door shut with a clang.

"You're power… it's like the opposite of Star's. Her power is Space Manipulation." "Space? Like, she can move objects? Isn't that just your power?" "No, she can make the objects that she controls smaller. Can't make it big again though. It's kinda just an upgraded version of mine…" I sat down on my bed, and flopped onto my back. "What a crazy day…" Then, I checked my power level. It was... 127. "My power level's 127. Is that good?" Ram thought for a moment, before saying. "It's average I'd say." At least it wasn't still 1.

Then I remembered something. "Ram, out of Tenak and Senol, which one is the sister?" Ram looked surprised. "Senol… but why do you ask?" "When I was hiding in the cafeteria, I heard them talk about how the one who gave away the old base's position's sister is here, So I assumed that they meant Tenak, and Senol." "But… they left. Both of them. At least we all thought so. Or… we were told so at least." I sighed.

"Let me guess - They told you that both of them escaped?" "Yup. They did. But, if they were lying… who knows how many other things they were lying about. But, who's to say they're telling the truth, or they were given false information?" "Maybe. But… what if it was true?" We both stayed silent for a few more moments. "Well, for now, let's just not say anything about this to anyone until we get more information. Especially not Star." Ram said. "Ok…" I closed my eyes, pondering what would happen next, and if Senol really was here. If she was… well, that would make things more complicated. I paused. Why did I think that? It's not like I had anything to do that would be messed up by that… right?
