The Saalistaja grunted as he took out a knife and started carving thin slices from the meat skewer in his hand. "I would like to point out that I was the first mate called to you, even if I didn't know what was going on at the time."
"So where have you been all this time then?" I asked curiously as I watched him put the meat carefully on a plate before handing it to me.
"Around," he said, and I could hear the clicking of mandibles beside me. Turning to Ye'tab, I saw the male shaking his head.
"And by around, he means on your ship," said the other male.
Turning back to my Guardian Angel, I looked at him, my head cocked to the side. "Is that true? Were you on my ship ever since we left that jungle planet?"
