Chapter 23: I want to do Halloween shoot.
Daisy officially signed the contract with StarArt. It was announced that StarArt signed five new artists. Everyone were excited to see who these new artists were. Among the hundred people only five were selected in the audition.
Daisy officially joined the company but didn't knew that Xavier was the CEO. She got of the car and walked inside the company. She went to the Artist Director's office. He was a man in his early thirties and had black hairs.
"So you're Miss Daisy Knight", Brice, the director said. "Yes", Daisy answered politely. Brice called her assistant and manager so they could meet each other. Blake, her manager and Rosy, her assistant entered.
"This is Blake, your manager. And this is Rosy, your assistant", Brice introduced. Daisy smiled and greeted them politely. Blake thought that she was cute. He was the same age of Xavier. Rosy was 23 and looked good with her blonde hairs with dyed blue ends that reached her upper back.
"President asked you to meet him in his office", Brice said to Daisy. She nodded. She didn't know why the CEO wanted to meet her but she couldn't deny her Boss' orders. Blake escorted her to the 69th floor into Xavier's office.
Blake entered with her. Of course, Xavier called them to discuss some new project. Xavier was standing by the floor to ceiling glass windows with his back facing them. "President", Blake called out in a formal tone.
Xavier turned towards them and saw Daisy. Her eyes widened but soon she recovered from the surprise and ran to him pouncing at him as she wrapped her legs around him. He chuckled and held her tightly without any much efforts.
"Bad wolf, what are you doing here?", she asked excitedly looked at his face. Blake was in shock looking at her like that. No women ever dared to do such thing to Xavier but she did and even called him bad wolf. He felt as if he was dreaming so he pinched himself but it was true.
"What do you think I'm doing here, babygirl?", Xavier questioned back. "You're the CEO?", she asked and he nodded. "Why didn't you tell me earlier?", she pouted. He placed a gentle kiss on her forehead and said, "I wanted to surprise you."
"You're the best", she said and hugged him tightly biting on his shoulder hard yet he didn't complain. Blake cleared his throat letting them know he was there. He didn't wanted to see their show of affection.
Daisy's face turned red and she quickly got down to stand on her feet. "Want to explain something?", Blake asked looking at Xavier who shrugged his shoulders. "Take care of my precious babygirl", Xavier said as he stroked her hairs.
"So she's your girlfriend and that's why you asked me to manage her", Blake guessed but Xavier shook his head. "She's my precious little wife", Xavier said making Blake choke on his words.
Did he just say wife?! What's this little girl's age? Even though she had great body and looks, she's so small. She looks like a little girl in front of Xavier who's 196 cm. Is she even 18? Blake thought looking at Daisy who was smiling.
"Don't think too much about it. Manage her properly and take care of her", Xavier said looking at the shocked Blake. Blake came back to reality and nodded. Suddenly he remembered Daisy's last name and understood.
Daisy and Blake went to his office and sat on the couch. "Daisy, I've selected a few photoshoots for you. This one is perfect for you. It's title is Sunshine", Blake said. Daisy saw the details and nodded.
"So should I finalise it?", he asked looking at her. "You're my manager so you decide. I'll just follow you", she said with a smile. He couldn't help but smile back. "How did that cold man got such a cute girl like you?", Blake asked.
Daisy gave him a blank look to which he chuckled and patted her head. "You sure are cute. I'm elder than you so you can call me brother. Since you're under me, I'll protect you well or your bad wolf will eat me alive", he said with a smile. She smiled and nodded.
"When is the shoot?", she asked. "It's day after tomorrow", he said and she nodded. "So it'll be my first shoot?", she asked excitedly. He nodded and she smiled brightly in excitement. "Then we have a commercial for you. Xavier is preparing a good movie for you to debut", he said.
"I'm so excited", she said with sparkly eyes. "You should practice well so you can be on top like Xavier", he encouraged her. She nodded vigorously with determination.
In the evening, Daisy returned home with Xavier. They took bath together then had their dinner. Daisy laid on Xavier's chest while he worked. He patted her head gently like always but today she didn't seem to be too sleepy.
"Babygirl, I've selected a movie for you to debut. You'll be the main protagonist. The male lead is Chris Grey, from our agency", he said and explained her the script of the movie. It was an action movie. He chose it as she liked action and thrill.
"I love it, bad wolf", she said and placed a kiss on his collarbone. He stroked her hairs gently. "I'm glad you like it. The shoot will start next month. I'll call the director and producer to discuss everything with Blake and you. They are under me so you don't need to worry", he said gently.
She nodded. He kissed on top of her head and closed his documents then laid comfortable with her on top of him. "Bad wolf, I want to do a Halloween shoot", she said out of the blue. He looked down at her face with an amused look.
"After momma left me, I never went out on Halloween as Auntie would never allow me. Stella would tease me every time after she got candies", she said in a low tone. His heart ached for her and he felt more anger towards her family especially her dad who was blinded by that woman.
"I'll find a Halloween shoot for you and this year you'll get many candies. More than Stella got in all these years", he promised her. She looked up at him happily. "I love you, bad wolf", she said and hugged him tightly.
He kissed on her hairline and caressed her back moving his hand on her back curves. "Go to sleep now. Tomorrow, you'll meet the director", he said slowly. She nodded and closed her eyes falling asleep on him.
Next day, Daisy went to the company for the meeting. She met the cast of the movie The Warriors. There were actors from other agencies as well. All were top actors and actresses. The movie had a big budget of 30 million dollars.
"Junior sister, don't worry. You'll do your best. We'll take care of you", the artists of StarArt said to Daisy looking at her nervous expression. All the artists in StarArt were friendly and were like family to each other. Xavier never allowed any internal battle inside the company.
Even if the artists were each other's competitors they would never do anything to pull each other down. StarArt took care of it's artists really well. Every artist and employee in StarArt had signed a confidential contract. No one can gossip about the company's issues with anyone or they would be penalised for breaching the contract and will have to pay 10 billion to the company.
Daisy looked at the people and gave a small smile. "Brother Chris, please teach me to be the best", she said looking at Chris who gave a nod and smiled at her. "You should be ready for your super hit debut. President never does anything he's not sure about", Chris said with a smile.
Daisy nodded and left the conference room of the hotel. As she walked out, she bumped into her stepsister, Stella. Stella gave a mocking smile and asked, "Did Xavier leave you? What are you doing here in this hotel?"
"Why should I answer you?", Daisy questioned back. "So you're cheating on Xavier with other man. If you don't want him then just give him to me", Stella said with a smirk. Daisy gritted her teeth in anger.
"Daisy, who's she?", Blake asked looking at Stella. "No one, brother. Let's leave", Daisy said and turned away as she walked out of the hotel with her manager and assistant. Stella stood there looking at the back of Daisy.
Stella wondered about the man beside Daisy. She was sure that the man was the top manager of the industry but didn't knew why he was with Daisy. She wanted to pull Daisy down at any cost.
