Chapter 2 : Christopher's Life
" Your majesty , you need a heir ! Finding your mate is impossible right now." One of the council complains and others also follow with "Indeed" and nods.
Right now the king's council are all present in the meeting room nagging their king with choosing a suitable queen and having a heir , making the one sitting in the front on the dais really irritated .
The meeting room is a large room with a huge rounded table in the center and a dais right in front of the huge door , walls are painted in dark brown .
" Just how long will they nag me ? Aren't they tired from getting rejected ? I really want to crack their heads open and check the size of their brains. " Thinking that , Christopher sighs .
Yes , that's right . This is Christopher Campbell , the king of the Vampire Kingdom . And those people are the Vampire Kingdom's council , who are currently nagging the King .
Vampires start to find their mates from the age of 18 as well as werewolves , but when they reach 21 , finding a mate is impossible . Their King is almost 22 right now , and can't find his mate yet , although he search the entire kingdom .
Whatever they say , they won't be able to understand his pain . The mate , that he was waiting for his entire life , isn't anywhere to be seen , and he's broken by the thought of not having a mate , and here the council is requesting a queen other than his mate . Just the thought of having another woman is making his heart break .
His council is very insensible !
" Now listen up " Started Christopher , interrupting their useless talks , " I said it before , but you can't seem to understand , so I'll say it again . No one will take my mate's place , and I couldn't care less about your opinion regarding my marriage , so close this topic once and for all ! " His voice was as cold as ice making all the people in the room shiver and keep their heads down to avoid his glares .
Saying this , their King left the meeting room .
As soon as his back disappeared , all the people inside sighed a sigh of relief .
While on his way to his room , he started thinking about his life .
His parents were killed , when he was 17 , and so he waited desperately for his mate , hoping to stop feeling so lonely . Anyway , he became king soon after and searched for his parents' murderer. Until a year ago , he finally found out that the Werewolves King was responsible and thus he was always planning against them .
However , that doesn't mean that he hates all werewolves , he long knew that their king is a bastard and a playboy , so he can't really blame the whole species .
That's what makes him the perfect king . And the people respect and love him .
His personality became cold after his parents' death , but all his people were understanding and were waiting for him to melt . His personality was never an issue in political matters either , which really makes things a whole lot easier for his council .
He's saving all his love and affection or his mate , who he's currently doubting whether she's existing or not .
When he reaches his room , he takes off his coat and lay down on the bed , thinking about his mate and the council's words .
His room is all black with not another color in sight , with the bed in the center , large floor-to-ceiling windows that lead into the balcony . As well as two doors , one beside the room door that leads to a walk-in closet and another right on the opposite side of the room that leads to the bathroom .
" They are right in some ways , but I'll never give her up easily . Sometimes , the expected comes in the unexpected time . " He thought , sighing again .
Little did he know that is exactly what's going to happen .
A moment later , a guard comes knocking on the door informing him of catching a werewolf roaming their forest , and so the king exited the room rushing , not knowing what is waiting for him.
