Mao Yong let out a burst of laughter. "You must be joking, Ren Jing," she muttered and wiped the tears that had come out of her eyes because of the pressure of the laughter.
Ren glared at her. [What is wrong with this woman?], Ren thought. He felt like he had entered some kind of situation that he had not planned for.
"Why are you laughing? Did you hear what I said?" Ren asked her. He was utterly confused at her reaction to what he had said earlier. He had told her not to call his phone again and what had she done? She had responded with a burst of laughter. Ren did not know what to do and he did not know what to say or think.
"You want to leave me? Do you think you can just come into my life and breeze through? You must be joking, Ren. I am not a walkover and I will not allow you to treat me like I am one," Mao Yong continued to stuff her belongings into her weekend bag that she had come to the hotel with.
