50 Powerful Herbs

"Uncle Xing, you got some time?" Xue Long walked into his uncle's office. 

"Nephew? For you always. What is on your mind?" The Emperor's brother asked with a smile on his face. 

"I need to organise to build a mansion in Sunset Forest."

"..."

"Why Sunset Forest? Not only it going to cost a lot but we WILL going to lose people. Something like that is very counterproductive for the Empire." The older Prince pointed out to his nephew.

"Indeed but the location where it going to be built is going to be near a garden of important herbs and a location good for cultivating."

"Hmm…while money is not a problem. But as I said our construction workers are not Spirit Masters. So they going to need protection. Unless you can promise proper protection I won't going be able to help you." Prince Xing said with a sign. Whatever his nephew is doing is no doubt good stuff but this particular request is not easy to deal with. 

"I can deal with this. I can ask Zi Ji to be the protector or even get another King pet from that place. Old Poison knows one or two old beasts in that forest." 

Prince Xue Xing slowly nodded, this could work. He didn't even bat his eye when his nephew talked about his Great beast working as a simple bodyguard for the workers or that might beat up another Great Beast and use it as another pet guard.

All that is a day's work as being an uncle to this extraordinary nephew.

"Once you get the protection sorted we can organise this construction you want."

"I will do just that as we prepare for that event."

His uncle slowly nodded, and a smirk appeared on his face. He is waiting for this event! He knows it's going to be great! They going to crush all those other Academies! Everyone will know that Heavenly Dou Empire is not messed with!

Once the meeting was over Xue Long returned to his Palace where he ended up being snuggled with by Qian Renxue.

"Long… you grew even stronger, didn't you? I can sense it." The blonde said as she inspected him from top to bottom.

"Yep. Got two more Martial Spirits and broke through to Rank 88." 

The angel girl stiffed hearing that! His rank…there is 10 rank gap between them!!!

"...How…when? How did you do that!?" She knows in person how bigger the gaps between these ranks are! If he continues like that he will be Titled Douluo before even being 15!

She ignored the fact that he has two more spirits… all she wants is for her rank to be close to his. This way she can feel that they are a 'power couple'. 

After all, she is a girl who has her dreams…

"Immortal Herbs. I got one for you." As he said that he pulled out a long wooden box and opened it. The smell of the flower instantly spread out through the room.

"...so beautiful… do I have to consume it?" She asked with a slightly disappointed tone. The blonde would prefer to keep it as a flower in her room…

It was after all a golden tulip flower. And anything of gold… she will want to keep it… 

"Don't worry… I have seeds for all these herbs and flowers. We can raise them in a garden." 

This instantly made her relax and lose whatever reluctance she had to consume this flower.

Slowly she took it and Xue Long explained to her how to consume it. 

After hearing it she started the process while her fiance went to the kitchen to do something.

Tang Wutong thought about this as she saw Qian Renxue meditating. 

Though the butterfly girl couldn't stay there for long as Wang Qiu'er left the room with Xue Long.

"Let's go girl. I have some things for you as well~" The Prince said with a playful tone. He likes pampering his pets that's for sure!

"What you have for her?"

"Something which will help her advance in years and would give you proper company." 

Hearing that, Tang Wutong's heart is slightly flustering!

"There is no need for you to waste precious resources for me…" She said that with a bashful tone.

"It's not just for you Wutong. Remember the more Qiu'er is powerful the more I am satisfied with it. So it's progress either way."

The way he told her made her feel better. However, she is still flustered… simply because he is thinking about her!

As they arrived at the kitchen Xue Long started to make dinner for his Lioness. Which is quite a unique way to look at it. The Prince never makes food for anyone except for the golden lion. Though 'making' is a strong word. 

As he pulls out slabs of meat and then pulls out rare and unique-looking herbs those are not immortal herbs but they are quite close. And the mix these will give a boost to Qiu'er cultivation.

As she was at moment she was around 500 to 600 years old. The meat filled with herbs should give her quite a bit of a boost.

The best part is… that it's not a one-time thing. Xue Long wants her to reach 10 thousand-year-old before he is twenty himself.

Once he was done with the preparations he gave her a massive bowl full of meat, and the golden lioness quickly started to munch on it.

While this was happening Tang Wutong looked at the Prince for a bit. She has a feeling that he got even more powerful. Almost like there is an invisible aura radiating from him.

"You grew even stronger…are you close to Titled Douluo?" She asked with a curious tone.

"Two more ranks and I will be one." He said that simply while looking at eating Wang Qiu'er.

"Once she is strong enough she might turn into a human. There is the possibility that you going to be sucked into her. And she might use your looks for herself."

"...Hmm… I see…" 

"You don't mind being assimilated?" He asked curiously.

"I think we will be the same being, two beings as one. It will be better this way." The butterfly girl said that with a certain look on her face.

"Oh… a fresh start. I can see that."

Tang Wutong for a second smiled at him.

"You said that you are bad with this stuff but you saw through my intentions faster than anyone I know." She said that with a slight teasing tone.

'Besides… if we merge I will still be there. I can bet that Wang Qiu'er will have my martial Spirit and her's Three-eyed Golden Lion. This way we will be able to compete against that Angel girl.' 

The butterfly girl didn't even realise in what direction her thoughts have wandered off…

As a ghost her memories are getting fuzzy, she can only remember the most important parts of her life. But even those are getting replaced by new memories when she is with Xue Long…

So she is getting quite attached to him over the years.

"I am bad. And your feeling are revealed on your face. Not my fault that you are broadcasting your emotions." He said that with a shrug.

Sure enough, the lioness was done with her food and she walked away to nap and digest the food.

This was quite a godsend for Tang Wutong as she was blushing a storm for being seen through this like that!

Once she was away the Prince walked back to his Fiance who was continuing to refine the energy she acquired from the Immortal Herb.

"I broke through to Rank 80!!! This herb was amazing!!!" The girl jumped on her feet as she rushed over and quickly hugged Xue Long. Snuggling into his chest. She even pushed him on to get on his back laying on the bed while the blonde was on the top.

She snuggled some more before looking at him with a smile. 

"These herbs are amazing! Not only that but I feel that it's going to be easier to cultivate this is simply a heavenly treasure! Where did you find it?" Qian Renxue now curiously asked him, she is wondering where such a thing even grows!

Did Poison Douluo had this in his Garden!? Then why did he never use any of it for himself!?

"In a huge crater. This crater was formed by two Dragon Kings falling there. It is their final resting place. They were Fire and Water Dragon Kings. Their essence formed into the unique well which allowed such herbs to grow. 

I am planning to capitalise on that place by building a mansion not far from there." 

As he explained his angel fiance got a little bit greedy. So Xue Long quickly explained to her that those herbs are not snacks and he even handed over the book which he received from her a few years ago.

"Do your study… after we return from the hunt." As he said that he casually got up from the bed with the girl in his hands.

"Hmm? Are we going somewhere?"

"Yes. To get your Spirit Ring." 

"N-Now? You just returned from Sunset Forest! We can wait at least till tomorrow!" Qian Renxue exclaimed, there was no rush! Sure becoming Spirit Douluo officially is something she wants but that can wait!

"You sound as if it's going to take a long time." As he said that his pair of wings manifested behind him. 

"W-Waitttttt" The angel girl could only scream as Xue Long blasted out from the room and rushed towards the Star Dou Forest faster than most Titled Douluo's thanks to his External Spirit Bone wings.

As three dragons roared two of them blurred and merged into a large disc image of Yin and Yang. It was ice blue and fiery red. 

While Golden Dragon King opened its mouth and started to gather energy. Once the critical point has been reached it released the beam at the Yin and Yang disc, the disc absorbed it and then released an even more amplified energy beam, it was coloured in three colours of gold, blue and red.

This beam slammed into a large winged creature which was consumed by this blast…

Once the beam passed the creature dropped to the ground with half burned and half-frozen body… steam and smoke were coming out from its twitchy form.

"...You just blasted a 80 thousand year winged eagle lion… with single blast… wow…" Qian Renxue looked at this with slight awe. 

She has seen him doing stuff with martial arts before, and martial arts are powerful she knows that herself but she just saw pure Martial Spirit in action. No Spirit Rings… just pure energy manipulation.

Not only that but the energy control was simply perfect… the spirit beast was on his last leg… not dead yet… but… not strong enough to stand up… it was simply perfect for her to finish it.

She walked over and her spirit rings spun around her. The fifth one glowed and her holy sword appeared in her hands. With a simple spin of the blade, she pointed the sharp end and simply stabbed the half-dead winged lion.

Moments later black ring appeared above the corpse.

"You can start I will stand the guard." Xue Long casually mentioned that as he looked around.

He is scanning the surroundings for any sort of threats or surprise. After all, there could be some crazy animals who would attack them regardless of their superior strength.

There are nutcases not just in people. But in animals as well.

'Hmmm…since Xue'er going to take some time to absorb that ring I can think about Sunset Forest… Didn't Tang San absorb a Tiger with 60 to 70 thousand years in that place? Quite weak compared to Spirit Beasts found here. But I could 'enlist' that feline to help me protect the construction site…'  As the Prince thought about it he pulled out his small notebook and wrote his idea down.
