1 A Dark Awakening

The Techno-Spider, otherwise known as Sydney Parker, a resident of Earth-980, her own universe. She had recently discovered the existence of The Multiverse after a rather peculiar event. The Avengers of her universe were murdered, and her investigation led her to a sorcerer by the name of Strange, who informed her that the culprit was not of her world.

This leads her to where she is now.

She was currently hanging upside down from a ceiling. Right below her was The Doc Ock of her universe, Richard Parker, Murderer of Uncle Ben and Father of Sydney.

The Doctor was currently in possession of a strange pyramidal device, he held the artifact in his hand, it had a bronze surface with Aztecan etchings along the side, and a glimmer of green light could be seen through the cracks at the top of the pyramid.

When The Doctor's back was turned, Techno dropped behind him and immediately shot a blue neon web at the artifact. "Cool toy you've got there, let me have a look!!" Techno said as she yanked the artifact out of Doc Ock's hand.

"No!! Hand that device over, you don't know what you're messing with!!" The Doctor shouted. "Let me guess…a powerful artifact that's dangerous in the wrong hands?" Spider-Techno stated.

"I'm not in the mood for foolish banters" Doc Ock snarled, immediately sending one of his tentacles to snatch it from Techno, who jumped out of the way, still latching onto the artifact. "What do you want with it, anyways?" She asked.

"The Tome of The Beyonder will allow me to find a universe where my wife never died" Doc Ock explained, "and I will-" "you can't just snatch someone from another universe and place them in our own, it'll lead to all sorts of paradoxes and problems in the mul-"

"Silence from you!!" Doc Ock growled, one of his tentacles shot out a deadly sharp hook towards Techno, who narrowly dodged it. "Woah!! Okay, less talk more ass-kicking, I get it"

Doc Ock lifted a large shipping crate using his tentacles, a blue glow emanating from within the machines. He threw the crate towards Techno, who webbed herself to the ceiling and dodged it.

Doc Ock aimed his tentacles at Techno and a blue beam shot out, knocking her off the ceiling and onto the ground with a thud.

"I have had enough with your antics, Spider-Freak!!! Time to end this" Richard growled, his tentacle aimed directly at Techno's head as it slowly charged up.

Suddenly, an arrow pierced through the tentacle, causing it to explode right in Richard's face.

"AGH- Who did that?!?!" He yelled angrily.

"Help is here" A man in a blue and red outfit announced, a large red star was plastered on his chest, and on his helmet was a symbol of a hammer, sickle and brush.

A man wearing a purple bandana and black cowboy hat stood behind The Captain, he held a black crossbow that seemed to resemble a rifle more than a bow.

"Captain America?" Sydney questioned. "NoNoNo, I'm not the Captain from your universe" The Captain clarified, "I'm from another universe…and I have come to retrieve the tome" he explained, "it originated from my universe, and if placed in the wrong hand, could spell disaster to the laws of reality" he told Syd.

"Oh…" she muttered, unsure if handing such a powerful artifact over would be a smart idea. "…Go…ahead and take it then…it'll be protected right?" Syd asked.

"You betcha, kiddo" The Captain flashed a smile and winked. The Hawk lifted his hat, revealing his eyes, which were pitch black.

Syd glanced between The Captain and The Hawk with a suspicious look in her eyes. Her Spidey Sense is telling her that these two meant trouble.

She quickly webbed the artifact towards her, grasping it tightly in her hand, "actually, I think I'll look after it myself" she stated.

The Hawk aimed his rifle at Syd and fired, she raised the artifact and used it to block the arrow, causing the artifact to emit a powerful green blast. "NO-" The Captain yelled, raising his shield to protect himself from the blast.

Syd was sent flying back, the ceiling collapsed and she saw various green fractures in the sky. She knew what this means, Strange warned her about this.

The Multiverse is colliding.
