5 Chapter 5
"However, first of all, we need to figure out why we're here." Mark said as he picked up a sandwich from the table and spread it with jam.
"Mmm. Auntie May, your hot dogs are so good um-" Spider-Ham shoved a hot dog about the size of his head into his mouth so hard it made people worry if his head would be bursting.
But it soon became clear that their worries were somewhat superfluous.
It should be said that he had been gnawed on by a pig before he mutated, and he probably had the characteristics of a pig in addition to those of a spider - so he's an extraordinary good eater.
"Eat slowly, there's plenty more." Aunt May looked kindly at Spider-Ham and thoughtfully handed over the milk.
Peni took advantage of Shadow Spider-Man's lack of attention and quickly fished a candy out of her pocket and stuffed it in her mouth. Upon hearing Mark's question, she patted her robot companion standing behind her charging, "Show them what we found."
A pair of cameras appeared on the large screen of Sp/dr's head, projecting a virtual screen in the air in front of the group with a screen casting-like ability.
Mark and the others looked at the virtual screen.
Several news items appeared on it, as well as some information that seemed to have been "picked up" from some special source.
[Recently, two mysterious earthquakes have occurred in Brooklyn within a short period of time, the exact cause of the earthquakes is under investigation, but according to expert speculation, the source of the earthquakes should come from directly below Brooklyn and the source of the earthquakes is very deep]

[Kingpin is experimenting with a particle collider. If he activates it, it could cause untold havoc in Brooklyn and New York! I have to stop him!]
If the first part is speculation, then the last video, shot by Spider-Man himself, says it all.
Kingpin. This guy is a super villain in the Marvel Universe.
He's single-handedly built a massive criminal empire with forces all over the world, and it's said that the source of almost 40% of the criminal activity in the entire USA is caused by Kingpin
Not only that, but he is also extremely powerful in his own right.
In addition to having a meticulous mind and a brilliant brain, his strength is also very impressive, with over 90 per cent of his body being muscular and able to punch through a wall with his bare hands, and he is also a world class fighting master, possessing the highest level of human combat power.
His opponents have all been big names - Daredevil, Punisher, Spider-Man, even the Fantastic Four and the X-Men have fought him.
To have survived so many rounds of superheroes against each other, you can see how good this guy is.
All in all, a pretty scary guy.
Apparently, though, not every Spider-Man world has Kingpin in it.
Or maybe they haven't met one yet.
Shadow Spider-Man, Spider-Man and SP//dr (Spider-Mech) are unaware of the dangers of Kingpin and don't realise the seriousness of the problem.
So Mark had to tell them again the information he knew.

Spider-Man exclaimed, "Wow! This guy is scary, I hope he doesn't like pork chops."
Peni pouted and made a thoughtful face, "So, there really is a direct connection to him?"
Shadow Spider-Man was silent for a moment before saying, "If nothing else, he's the one we're dealing with. And the key to our return home is definitely in his possession. If I'm not mistaken, it's the..."
"The particle collider!" The crowd said in unison.
Obviously, as Spider-Men from different time periods, although they had different experiences, looks, ages, etc., they were all wise beyond their years and quickly found the key to the problem from the only information available.
"Wait, what's a particle collider?" Spider-Ham asked as he licked the sauce that had been stained on his hand.

His profession was even more out of place in this type of things.
Peni, who was also confused, looked to her robot partner, who gave her a helpless look back.

The SP//dr was a battle droid, not a research class.
"We don't know for now, but I can try to hack into Kingpin's system database, and since this is his stuff, we should be able to find it." Peni said.
Shadow Spider-Man nodded, "Then that task is in your hands."
"What about me then? What task do I have?" Spider-Ham said hastily.
"You," Shadow Spider-Man looked at Spider-Ham and after a moment's hesitation said, "Why don't you train Mark with me?"
Mark didn't expect Shadow Spider-Man to keep this matter in mind, so he was a little touched.
"Actually, we can try to work out the problem of getting home first-"
Shadow Spider-Man stopped him from going on, "You're one of us, you'll have to do your bit when the time comes, so training you will also be strengthening us."
"All right then." Mark was looking forward to developing his own powers next.
Spider-Man.
Although every Spider-Man's powers were related to spiders, there was actually a subtle difference between them.
For example, Peni's spider powers are related to the Spider-Mech, Spider-Ham's spider powers come from himself, Shadow Spider-Man's spider powers come from the Spider-God, and the next "protagonist" of this universe, the second coming of Spider-Man, Miles Morales, is mainly invisibility and paralysis type of ability.
Mark was looking forward to seeing what his own spider powers would be.
At the moment, the only changes he could feel in his body were the spider senses that he had from time to time when he was with the other Spider-Men.
But in the Shadow Spider-Man's experience, it was usually within a day to a week of being bitten by a spider that the powers would gradually show themselves.
So next, as it was getting late, they each found a place to stay under Aunt May's arrangement.
Peni got special privileges because she was a little girl, and slept in this world's Peter Parker's room with her spider mech partner, while Mark, Shadow Spider-Man and Spider-Ham each shared a blanket and slept on the living room couch.
