5 A break

Seeing the little girl in front of me, no older than 6. Just slumped onto her back, with her eyes shut and a peaceful face for a torturous death. All around me were cries and sparkling water being shot into flames. The firefighter I knocked out had already left to help the others.

Just looking at the girl, dead. I could only think. Why didn't I save her? Why did I get so careless? Why'd I think I could save lives?

Beep! Beep!

Looking at the defibrillator, I suddenly lost more sense of insanity. Looking at the tool that's supposed to save lives, to save this girl. I tried to click the off button but a shaky hand made it hard, and Hit the discharge button the little girl's body was shocked.

I didn't react until I heard a whimper. Not from around me, but under. Looking down I saw her chest rise and fall slowly, suddenly I grabbed the girl and yelled at the arriving ambulance.

"HERE! I need some help!" Running over the doctors took the girl, and an ambulance was sent to the hospital with the girl. The white-haired girl was looking at me shocked, so I walked to her and spoke.

"She's still alive." While saying that, my smile was seen to the rest. She suddenly started weeping in joy and happiness, and so did the others.

A month has passed since I gained this system, and I'm on top of a 10-story building sitting on the edge. I'm currently observing a police team about to raid a warehouse that was housing a group of criminals that had stolen from a bank, Anderson was the one asking for this favor.

Seeing this intrigued me so I decided to equip it, looking at the Black gauntlets which have a slick exterior going from my hands to my elbow. When I looked back at the ground I saw that the operation had started and that most of the guys were tussling with the police while a couple were in handcuffs. Looking at my system one more time I smirked,

Spider-Man jumped off the building, landing with a thud. The group of people paused and looked at the noise, they saw a Spider-Man looking right back. There were 2 different emotions, 1 was happiness due to the likely chance of Spider-Man's help, while the other was scared due to the recent knowledge of Spider-Man.

As Spider-Man began walking toward the criminals, some decided to give up immediately and just went to their stomachs, while the others continued.

Spider-Man bolted right into the group of criminals and as he arrived he grabbed 2 by the shoulder and shocked the 2 with a sudden shock of 50,000 volts knocking them out. He then grabbed another by the arm and did a screwdriver throwing the criminal onto the floor and landing in his iconic pose.

He ran to another and dropkicked the person, then did a roll which he used to leap into another person wrap his legs around the person, pull a black widow move, and toss them to the ground. And then another grabbed Spider-Man and tried to keep him to the ground, however, Spider-Man kicked the person up into the sky and then kip-up to his feet and shot webs at the person in the sky and pulled him into a group of them, then shooting a huge amount of webs into the fallen criminals.

An hour passed and the criminals were in cuffs, Spider-Man was seen sitting on top of a police hood and talking with some of the police officers.

"So Spidey. How's it going?" Spoke to an officer that had just arrived at the group.

"I'm doing good." He responded,

"Hey Spidey, I realized you are mostly out and about. But what about your home life?" Spoke another cop behind him as he closed the door of the car Spider-Man was in.

Suddenly, Spider-Man flinched which was quite obvious to anyone watching. After a moment Spider-Man responded,

"Well, I had finished my job recently. And stuff with home is getting complicated." An officer was confused and spoke,

"Were you fired? And what do you mean complicated? Did Mary Jane cheat on you?" Some of the officers chuckled and so did Spider-Man, after a while he spoke.

"No I wasn't fired, I just finished my contract. And Mary Jane? I don't even think a Mary Jane exists, especially since this is real life." After a moment Spider-Man decided to continue,

"Nah, what I mean is that I've focused my effort on being Spider-Man. Training, getting equipment, and observing the city. But I've been ignoring people I care about." Hearing this the police officers were looking at each other in understanding, what the public realized is that even though this Spider-Man is a bit different by being more down-to-earth, however, he is still nice, real, and the most relatable to the public.

Spider-Man then got a pat on his shoulder, and he looked at the person.

"Don't worry, we've all done that. That's why everyone loves the Hero, Spider-Man, the most. Because you are the most human."

"Yeah, that's so true!"

"Yeah! Thinking about it, can I get a picture? My daughter loves you." And more, and more comments the cops gave. Spider-Man can only smile at being accepted, he hops off and takes a picture with the officer who asked. And more officers took pictures with him.

After an hour of swinging he arrived at his apartment building, he went to an alley and de-equipped his Spider suit. He then equipped 2 equipment that he had gained from increasing his level twice after the fire as he had gained 1000exp.

What was annoying about my level-ups was that they randomly increased stats.

These equipment were both fully black, besides the glasses glass.

Walking out the alley, Lucas walked to the apartment building and walked inside. Arriving at the elevator, Lucas walked in and clicked the 5th-floor button. Then suddenly a couple ran in and clicked the same button, they were both talking to each other about meeting a friend.

Talking to my close friend Melissa was as entertaining as always, she was a 5ft2 Hispanic/Greek woman. She was brown-skinned and brown-eyed, she had white hair that had the length to her hips, and her body was athletically muscular but her legs, more so her thighs, were big. She is very rational, and determined, but also cold, however, when we're with Lucas she becomes a different person she becomes clingy, happy, kind of irrational, and a bit, slightly yandere.

She has also taken hobbies of practicing jujitsu, muay Thai, and kickboxing, and she also enjoys going to an orphanage, that had recently gone on fire.

"I'm telling you Michael, Lucas is going to love Spider-Man! He's a HERO!" She yelled raising her fist towards me.

I'm a 5ft7, slim build, white-skinned, blue-eyed, blonde boy. To compliment myself I'm a headstrong, confident guy who loves learning the business side of the world and coding/hacking, but I still love building projects with Lucas.

"Whatever you say, Melissa." Suddenly, a firm hand on my shoulder, and heard Melissa gasp, I'm guessing this person grabbed her too.

"How have you guys been?" Hearing this similar voice, made my head turn and swipe the hat of this man. Only to see Lucas's face,

"LUCAS?!" I screamed, Melissa turned and went from a shocked face and then to a happy face, then jumping and hugging him.

Normally he would fall, however, he just stood straight. Melissa looked at his face and spoke.

"My god look how big you are!" I then passed Lucas his hat back, I looked at his face and asked.

"I noticed you are bigger." I looked at him more properly, and from what I could tell, he was a 6-foot man with an athletic lean build.

"But why do you have glasses?"

"Ah, well. I just need some help with my eyesight at times, so it's more for convenience."

When the elevator door opened Lucas began to walk with Melissa still on him, I followed behind them.
