1 CHAPTER 1 POV The basement

I turned on my flashlight one more time to see the pathway outta this Godforsaken place. Oh no! My flashlight's batteries are almost dead! I have to turn it off.

BANG!

What was that?!

BANG! BANG!

There it is again.

UH-OH! I think I'm not the only one here.

HISS!

EEK! I think I just heard a snake. Turning on the flashlight I felt someone push me from behind. Pointing at that someone, it had pale white flawless skin, black hair, red eyes, and all black clothes. I tried to shriek but I couldn't like there was a lump in my throat or something. I could feel goosebumps washing on my skin and the hairs on my body literally sticking up. I was terrified. And to make matters worse, my flashlight's batteries DIED! ಥ‿ಥ.

I crawled backwards until I felt my back against the wall I started hearing whispering voices in my head, that's when I realized that I was being compelled by this creature. Even if I can't see it; I can feel it's presence and. it's. right. in front. of. ME!(｡ŏ﹏ŏ).

My breath hitched as I tried to scream. then I quickly remembered a spell my mum taught me.

I couldn't speak so I had to say it in my mind and that requires a lot of concentration.

The creature's face inches closer to mine and I tried inching a way to another corner of the wall till I felt a sharp pain in my head and I started feeling dizzy. I felt a warm liquid tricking down my forehead. I quickly realized that it was blood. I chanted the spell in my head as fast as I could and focusing as hard as I can.

The place illuminated giving of a dim green glow, and then the creature bit my neck I tried to scream but couldn't.

Reflexively, I tried hitting back, but it had my hands pinned above my head. I gasped as I felt my consciousness leaving my body.

GOSH! I have to kill this thing and get outta here. Like; I don't know. IMMEDIATELY!

It doesn't look like it's stopping any time soon! UH MAN! This is not how I planned to DIE!

I quickly remembered another spell. I chanted it in my head and it worked kinda.(•‿•).

I had the strength to push the creature's surprisingly strong arms from mine and the KA-RA-ZIEST thing happened.

I bit it back on it's neck and it cursed. it tried pulling away but I held it still and sucked on the wound I inflicted. It's blood tasted kinda sweet and I continued sucking it until it groaned. That's when I felt dizzy and lightheaded so I held on to it for support...

It was the last thing I remembered until... I woke up again...

"Oh my God" my hoarse it came out as a bare whisper. I stayed still when I felt a burning sensation in my chest. I clutched onto it and I started feeling hot. I quickly ripped my shirt off and tried to breathe. The most painful part was that I couldn't even scream in pain. Just when I thought that it couldn't get worse than this it DID. The burning feeling spread to every corner of my body till my throat. I tried to chant a spell in my head but I couldn't concentrate on anything other than the pain I was feeling. After what seemed like forever, the pain subsided and I passed out.
