19. puppet master

After that match some more time passed and there were a couple of more matches that resulted in some cool effects. Some people joined squads, some didn't. It continued for a bit until we got to the next round. This round is exciting.

"We're close to the end of this thing aren't we folks I know everybody's probably tired from all these matchups and such but I promise you we're nearly done now now the next match should be excellent The young mage Gwen will face Celina the trap magic Master this will be an interesting fight personally I think we should get popcorn and get ready for a good old-fashioned brawl truly" Ryon said as both competitors came out Gwen smiled as she held out a thin and sharp blade called a rapier.

When her opponent came out Celina she walked up inside some kind of puppet body. She was snuck tight inside the body of the puppet hidden back as she had a very fragile body so she had to make two of what she had and create something much more suitable for a fight.

"You use a puppet I have not seen that yet before, very interesting" Gwen said.

"Enough chit chat just fight me" Celina said as her puppet body shot out wires it started contracting certain traps around the area The wires spreaded faster and faster and then they were all around the room it was hard to move as the trap surrounded the entire environment she then got out of the puppet as it held tightly it was constructed into the ground as Gwen was trapped, Celina would jump into a second puppet that was more mobile and able to place traps on the ground with magic this was a more suitable battle armor of a puppet for her as the first one was used for the wire trap technique the young and up-and-coming mage who was fragile was not so dainty but they butterfly yet she stung like a bee as she started placing traps around the environment.

Gwen would nod in approvement she like this kind of fighting with her thin blade she slowly stepped forward however triggering a trap sliced into her leg a bit causing it to bleed it was unexpected but she wanted to see what the trap would do this one was not laced with anything it must be a basic wire trap with this acquired knowledge Gwen used her blade and slice down in a 360 to 180°slash type technique cutting all the wires in that small area at once however this caused vibrations causing the wires to ignite on fire and start to explode blasting wind back into the ground slamming her down violently as she collapsed her armor would start to fall off so she ripped it off revealing folded wrappings over her chest, with a thin chest plate and thinner leggings as she wore two piece armor set that was able to be took it off and transform into it easier accessible armor set.

"I see now interesting these wires could be an issue now let's see if you can handle this" Gwen said as she would quickly slash the air and vibrate it causing multiple air ripples in air cutter techniques to cut through bashing into the puppet body of Celina The puppet had a small crack in it as Gwen jumped into the air she smiles is everything around the area starts to accelerate at a rapid speed Gwen herself sped up that she held her blade out tightly and she bashed it with extreme speed into the puppet body of Celina causing the body to break apart revealing Celina inside with her one hand available she snuck in a quick trap charm that caused a multi-layered explosion that blasted went back again.

Celina sighs as the puppet body starts to shatter with its last notion; she places a dozen different traps onto the body and then jumps doing a backflip out of the puppet as it explodes, sitting the shards of the puppet into the body of Gwen.

Gwen now had multiple wooden shards stabbed into her body that had different trap types in planted into them and that started to go off causing Gwen to slow down her movement it was hard for her to continue moving with the shards in her body so she forcibly pulled them out causing more explosions to go off again and again finally Gwen was slammed to the ground her eyes would start to glow as her vision faded however she was still able to use her speed magic since it wasn't connected to her technically she sped up nearly unconscious and was able to grab Celina once Gwen had Celina she simply grabbed her and would start to slam her into the ground repeatedly again and again as wires started to form from Celina it was hard for the fragile girl to hold on as she was trying to pull Gwen down The wires got tighter they got thicker as the two of them got into this massive conflict as none of them wanted to give up they fought but Gwen was much stronger due to her body she was just naturally strong unfortunately compared to Celina, however Celina tried so hard to stay up she did not want to give up the wires kept getting heavier and thicker as she was trying to bring down Gwen, however at this point Gwen had an idea she started to speed up and then when extremely fast it was hard to even keep an eye on these two at this point, Celina started to feel drained as she tried her best to kick into Gwen to no avail the speed was catching up too fast and without anything else to do and I found another puppet body to jump into she would start to pass out but before she did she tried her best to place traps on Gwen One started to explode and then two and then a dropping sound as Celina fell to the ground passing out.

Ryon would jump down and nod

"Interesting The fight you two gave was very unique it was much more than strength it was unique skill but strength was a factor in the end unfortunately but it was still a wonderful fight a performance put on by You both so brilliant" Ryon said as he jumped up and looked at the squad leaders they would start to talk to each other and try to figure out what they would do here you could hear whispering us multiple squad leaders kind of wanted Gwen you could see rock paper scissors being played as they fought for her In the end a squad leader did win and this was Lucas he smiled brightly

"Without further ado Gwen step forward you are now a ironstone beaver, I hope you do well" Lucas said as he smiles

"Thank you sir I heard your squad is so cool I can't wait to be a member" Gwen said as a second captain step forward this was Jasen.

"Hello Celina, with how you fought my squad would be perfect for you please consider joining" Jasen said.

"Really sir it means so much". Celina said.

With this another round had ended and so it was getting so close to being the end of this tournament in this arc as a whole.

That's the last couple of rounds Eric and Hugo's matches went pretty easily as they won without a doubt showing off their power without their opponent even being able to land one blow Hugo was assigned to the Jade Stars and Eric was assigned to the jolly outlaws.

With this the tournament ended and so the next adventure would truly start as all the squad captains went away and back to their homes and so did everybody else as there was something else brewing in the shadows and so before the adventure would truly take place they would be some training to be done as 3 days have now passed and Chum has prepared a unique training course for everybody involved in going, to the Oskan islands, but first Ryon would have to find Edward.
