1 Another World

Darkness surrounded me, an endless abyss of nothingness. Memories flooded back to me—the fire, the panic, the pain. I had died. But what happened next? Would my soul be punished for my past sins, or would I ascend to a place called heaven? I scoffed at the thought—I had never believed in such things.

I floated for what felt like an eternity, lost in my own thoughts. How long had it been? Minutes? Hours? Days? It was impossible to tell. But then, a voice boomed in my mind.

"No!"

It was a deep, powerful voice that sounded like it was coming from within me. It spoke of omnipotence, but there was something off about it. Was it really the voice of God? I didn't believe in that nonsense.

"Who are you?" I demanded, my voice echoing into the void. "Show yourself!"

The voice chuckled. "Me? I am all. I am everything. I am something your species calls God."

"Bullshit!" I retorted, incredulous. "There's no such thing as God in this world."

"That's right," the voice replied. "I am just me. I never created the world—it created itself. Hence, the being you can say the being God does not exist or I just don't know about it."

I paused, confused. "Wait, you just said you were you. Now you're saying you're not God?"

"I said I am a being equal to your being called a God," the voice clarified. "But enough about that. You have questions, don't you? Ask away."

I hesitated for a moment before speaking. "What happens to me now? Am I stuck here forever?"

The voice chuckled. "No, my child. You will move on soon enough. But first, you must atone for your past sins."

I bristled at the word "child." "What sins? I never did anything that bad."

The voice was silent for a moment before replying. "You lied. You cheated. You hurt others for your own gain. Those are sins, my child. And you must face them."

I felt a pang of guilt in my chest. Was the voice right? Had I really done all those things? "What can I do to make it right?" I asked.

"Repent," the voice said simply. "Reflect on your past actions and seek forgiveness. Only then can you move on."

I nodded, feeling a weight lifted off my shoulders. Maybe there was something to this afterlife thing after all.

"But...You are the first human who actually talked to me this way, or else everyone would be prying or asking for mercy."

"Is that so? Then what's going to happen to me?"

"Well, usually I would erase memories of the lost soul and recycle it... but as you entertained me, I would like to give you another chance at life. What do you say?"

"Another chance, wait, you can do that?"

"Of course, I maintain order in the universe, so I have the power to do whatever I want."

"So you are going to send me back?"

"No... I will be sending you to another world with your memories intact."

"I... I..."

I felt like I was in a dream. One moment I was floating in a dark void, and the next, I found myself suspended in mid-air above a strange, medieval-looking city. The wind was strong, buffeting me back and forth, threatening to knock me off balance and send me hurtling to the ground below.

The city below me was unlike anything I had ever seen before. The houses were made of rough-hewn stone, and they seemed to be crammed together in haphazard, almost chaotic, arrangements. The streets were muddy and dirty, filled with people who were shouting, arguing, and even fighting. I could see carriages rumbling along the roads, pulled by horses that looked like they had seen better days. And then there were the people - so many different types, with horns, or long ears, or tails, or even wings. It was like a fantasy world come to life.

But as I looked closer, I saw something that made my blood run cold - people with chains around their necks and hands. Slaves. In this day and age? I couldn't believe it.

I began to panic. What had happened to me? Where was I? And how could I possibly survive in a place like this?

But then I remembered - the voice. The being that had claimed to be equal to God. It had given me another chance at life and sent me to this strange, new world with all my memories intact.

With a deep breath, I steeled myself and began to descend towards the city. It was time to start a new chapter of my life in a place unlike any I had ever known before.

Suddenly, a gust of wind lifted me up, whisking me away from the dismal sight of the medieval city. I found myself face to face with that strange, all-powerful voice once again.

"I see you have been wandering around the city while your body is getting ready," the voice said.

"What? Getting ready? You didn't mention anything about this!" I exclaimed, frustration evident in my voice.

"Ah, my apologies. I forgot to mention that it takes a while to prepare a suitable body for you so I can sneak you in. After all, I don't usually communicate with mortals, so I forgot you wouldn't know about this," the voice replied apologetically.

As I stood there, processing this new information, I couldn't help but feel a sense of unease about my current situation. What did this mysterious voice have in store for me? And why did it go through all this trouble just to bring me to another world?

"Sneak me in? What do you mean?" I asked, suspicion creeping into my voice.

The voice chuckled darkly. "Oh, you see, we aren't allowed to interfere with the dead. But I thought I'd spice things up by sneaking you into this world with the knowledge of the other gods. It's all for entertainment, really."

"Entertainment?" I repeated incredulously.

"Yes, entertainment. You see, we don't get to do much other than watch you mortals, so I thought it would be interesting to bring someone into this world and see what kind of chaos they could create. And don't worry, this world has been long abandoned, so no one cares about these mortals. Once I dump you here, you can do whatever you want, and no one will notice."

I felt a chill run down my spine at those words. So there would be no protection for me in this strange new world. What if I ended up like one of those slaves I saw earlier?

But before I could voice my concerns, the voice spoke again. "Don't worry, I left you a gift in your body to help you out. And now, it's time for you to make your grand entrance. Give me a great show!"

With those ominous words ringing in my ears, I felt myself being whisked away once again. I had no idea what kind of body I was getting, or what kind of world awaited me. All I knew was that my life was no longer my own, and I had to be prepared for whatever was to come.

With that, my vision suddenly blurred as I started feeling my body. It was a weird feeling, and I slowly opened my eyes.

The memories were vivid and overwhelming. I could see glimpses of another life, my previous life, flashing before my eyes. I saw my family, my friends, my job, my hobbies - everything that was once a part of my reality. It was like watching a movie of my own life, but in a hazy and surreal manner.

I remembered my ambitions, my desires, and my regrets. I remembered the moments of joy and the moments of pain. I remembered the people who loved me and the people who hated me. It was as if I was reliving my entire life in a matter of seconds.

Suddenly, the memories came to a halt, and I found myself back in the carriage. The knight still sat in front of me, seemingly unaware of the emotional turmoil that had just taken place within me.

I cleared my throat and asked, "Excuse me, where are we headed?"

`The Capital City Riste : Empire of Ancorna`

He is in the body of Eugene Ewan, a 15 old illegitimate prince of Ancorna. His Mother Lain Obley, was a maid in the palace. When his Brother, the third prince James Ewan was born, the Emperor had too much to drink from celebrating. On his way back to his room he spotted his mother Lain and forced himself on her. Later on the Emperor found out that she was pregnant. He told her to stop working in the castle and gave her a small room at the back of the castle because he didn't want her to bring shame to him. The Emperor already had three wives who would always bully his mother when they saw her. Whenever his father saw him or his mother, he would look at him with disgust, and at his mom as if labeling her a 'gold digger', as if forgetting that he was the one who forced himself on Lain.

A month ago the Emperor's 3 Wives successfully poisoned his mother and killed her then they pushed the blame onto him saying he killed his own mother. The Emperor wanted nothing more than a way to Banish him from the palace so that he won't fight for the throne among his other half-brothers so he took the opportunity and declared him guilty without proof or trial and banished him to a faraway barren island city.

The Emperor didn't want to outright kill him because if he did other nobles would label him kin-slayer so he sent him to the barren island city to rule over. He said that it won't be a part of the Empire from now on as such no protection from the Empire will be given to it.

Anyone with a brain can see he was using this opportunity to get rid of the barren land so he won't have to waste money on it anymore. It was win-win for him.
