4 A Shop
"Good morning, Sir!"
In a quite luxurious bedroom, a proper man with a lean perfect body with well made suit was seen standing beside the bed carrying tea with him
"Sir?"
"... Heard you the first time"
The man on the bed slowly stood up grabbed the tea and left his bed as the curtains of the window opened making way for sunlight inside the room
While taking a sip from the tea he looked outside from the glass window he noticed a few people moving through the streets wearing heavy winter clothes as he commanded
"Luther, prepare the suit"
"It's rather cold today, it might take a few extra seconds, warm water is ready so take your time Sir Kaer"
The man in the suit suggested as his pair of shining red pupils flashed under his well-maintained dark hair, the one addressed as Kaer smiled as he handed the empty tea cup to Luther and cracked up his bones while glancing upwards towards the blue sky through his glass wall he commented
"Guess we are expecting another friend today, prepare an extra Calendula Tea today"
"As you say"
Luther nodded and left the room softly closing the door of the bedroom, the room was rather a luxury with the standards of this modern world, Kaer smiled and took a glance at his phone as he muttered
"Today is already 2023, November 29 huh... Three years flashed quite fast in this world"
Kaer smiled and tossed his smartphone over the bed, scratching his smooth black hair he entered the bath and lying down over his bathtub stared over the ceiling as he muttered in a daze
"I should start thinking of getting married now..."
With a sigh, he lowered his head into the water and after about a dozen minutes he left the shower washing his wet black hair revealing that fresh deep blue pair of eyes in his perfect physique with height of 6'2 and incredibly handsome face
"Perfect even today!"
Kaer flashed a grin watching his reflection in the mirror but just then suddenly Luther arrived in the room with set of dark 3 piece suit and shoes and with a sigh commented
"What's the use when you don't even step outside of the house"
"Loving your job huh.."
Kaer frowned as he grabbed the suit and started wearing it Luther just smiled quietly with a grin in the corners of his mouth and after getting completely ready perfectly Kaer left the room along with Luther in a black suit and moved down through broad stairs in a small mansion like the place, they arrived over the ground floor which was a bit of mystery in itself
The walls in the place were filled with wooden shelves of different sizes with all sorts of materials placed there in different sections of the walls, from books, decorations, and glass bottles filled with some sort of liquids to even swords and gun-like weapons made with cutting edge technology
Just from the looks of the weapons placed on the wall seemed to be the peak of perfection in their grades, even the greatest collectors on earth would beg and kneel to obtain even a knife from this 'shop' but unfortunately for them, the planet here is called 'Avalon'
The world is extremely similar to Earth we have but at the same time difference is greater than heaven and earth
"Okay then, time to open the shop!"
Kaer smiled and while clapping all the lights of the shop ignited as Luther opened the the doors of shop placing the open sign on from the window of the shop
"Did you wake up late again, Bro Kaer?"
As soon as the shop opened two kids around the age of 7 rushed inside the shop like puppies with shining eyes, Kaer smiled back while moving inside the closed desk with just a chair inside along with a few art pieces on the wall behind the chair
"Sorry! Sorry! Dear customer! So what do you want today?"
"Choco filled popsicles!"
"Salt Sweat candies..."
Kaer smiled and softly placed what they wanted over their hands as the kids placed the money on the desk and with bright smiles rushed out
"Thank you, Big bro!"
"Mhm!"
Kaer just smiled back but watching them leave Luther seemed to be filled with a dark frown as he grabbed the cleaner and started cleaning the dust outside of the shop
"Why these brats early in the morning... Just wait till the day your teeth fall off! I will see how you come here to eat chocolates again acting so noisy!"
Luther kept muttering on his own showing displeasure on his face but Kaer just decided to ignore it all and as he was about to pick up the book another customer entered the shop
"Oh my! Now that's a rare face"
Kaer smiled as he welcomed a woman in warm winter clothes along with a little kid around 5, the woman waved her hands
"Haha! Don't tease us, Kaer! Anyways! Today is Lisa's Coming Age of Ceremony! We were just on our way to 'Awakener's Association' Building to get her the 'Soulmark', I came to buy a celebratory gift to cheer her up"
"Is it time already?"
Kaer commented in shock, the woman nodded and placing her palm on her face just commented
"Time sure flies fast huh..."
Kaer just nodded as turning back he took out a banquet of beautiful white flowers and handled it to her as he replied
"Well a flower is a great choice, no matter good or bad, it works both ways! Smart choice! As expected of my customer!"
"Indeed! Indeed! But it's not bad to hope for a good Soulmark... Better Soulmark means a better future in the world, 'cause just being rich isn't enough nowadays..."
"Indeed..."
Kaer nodded with a sigh and took the money placed over the desk, the woman grinned and suddenly placed her kid over the desk as she commented
"So! For a few hours can you take care of my kid? You know the crowd and pressure in such places right? You are the only one I can count on Kaer!"
Kaer took a glance over the kid placed over his desk, she seemed to be rather well-behaved while looking at Kael with sparking bright eyes
"Well, I guess you can think of it as a benefit of being my first customer! Missy!"
The woman immediately brightened up with a smile and with a energetic nod and a bright smile left cheerfully
"You keep calling 'missy' as if I'm younger than you here! Anyways! Bless me luck Kaer! They say handsome people are closer to God! Who knows God might hear you!"
"Haha! I will! Don't worry!"
Kaer just smiled mysteriously as the woman left the shop, Luther also sighed as she left and commented
"She is worried for nothing really, Lisa child has quite great potential"
"She is a mother after all"
Kaer replied as he picked the kid from his desk and placed her on a chair beside him placing some pastries with a fork and spoon in her hands
"Wassup! Claire! Been a while~ big bro missed you as much as heaven and earth"
"Mhm! Mhm! Claire missed Kaer too! As much as! As much as 2 Big Big Heavens and Earth!"
Kaer sniggered hearing the energetic reply from baby like body, Luther also scoffed with a smile as he started dusting off the bit of dust on the shelves but just then the little girl questioned
"You know! Mom and Big Sis were super nervous today! They keep talking about Soulmark! Can you explain Kaer!"
"Soulmark huh..."
Kaer muttered looking at her and suddenly pulled the rope hanging beside him pulling down a white chart with different types of marks and diagrams placed there and started explaining
"Let's see! The world we live in is rather cool! And Soulmark is an important part of cool lives! Soulmark is something a person obtains when they reach the age of 16, about two years before graduating high school
Each Soulmark is unique and of different sorts of grades, Soulmark is similar to a tattoo that appears on its own over random places of the body and in different designs too, there are 7 known grades of Soulmark
From 1 Star to 7 Stars, 1 Star is considered poor potential, 2 Star is average, 3 Star is more than Average, 4 Star is great potential, 5 Star is once a decade genius, 6 Star is an epic prodigy, and rarest of them all is 7 Star that is legendary potential!"
"Ohhhhh! So like the celebrities on news the right? So if Big Sis gets 7 Star! Then she will be cool like that one Dragon Slayer Uncle right?! He is also a 7-Star Soulmark bearer!"
The little girl's eyes shone with great hope but Kaer coldly washed all her hope as he explained
"Well lucky if that happens but chances are as tiny as finding a needle in a desert, 80% of the world is 1 Star Soulmark Bearer, live ordinary lives going office, working as teacher or cook as in normal jobs
About 10% of the people in the world have 2 Star Soulmark but they also work normal lives maybe a bit better than ordinary folks, like the cool guy in offices or something 5% of people have 3 Star Soulmark-making geniuses among normal folk with great capabilities mentally or physically but 90% of them choose to live in the normal world cause they are just better than average cool guys
Because the next category is the one that defines the lines of 'True Awakeners', the reason Awakeners Association-like things exist, after 3 Star are people who can no longer be considered just 'human'
Only 1% of people awaken 4 Star Soulmark, they are one man battalion itself, great geniuses who can crush tree size stones with one fist after training for a few years, these True Awakeners are the ones that Awakeners Association, Church, Magic Tower, and such organization control to keep the world in check
Even above 4 Star is 5 Star Soulmark, just 0.01% of people have this and the ones who have it are all city-level prodigies, all the guardians of cities and territories you see are mostly of this category
Then come 6 Star Soulmark Bearer, they are national treasures, free from human laws a completely new breed, they can casually survive Nuclear Attacks and walk out just casually, but just 0.0001% of people are like that, and then the one I call legendary
7 Star Soulmark Bearers, there are merely 80 of them in the whole world, so you can tell how rare they are, in a world with a population of about 80 billion, is like Once in the Dozen Billion Genius!"
