Prologue

Kimberly's day began with a jarring wake-up call from her alarm clock. She tossed and turned, searching for a comfortable position to escape the intrusive noise.

Despite her efforts, the sound only grew more unbearable. In frustration, she flung the alarm clock away, hoping for some relief. Unfortunately, her actions only worsened the situation.

"Damn!" Kimberly exclaimed as she dragged herself out of bed, silently cursing the existence of school. It's Monday morning, and the reminder of the four days of torture ahead at college loomed over her. Rubbing her eyes for a few minutes, she finally mustered the energy to get up from her luxurious King-sized bed and made her way over to where the alarm clock lay on the floor, turning it off.

With a big stretch and a loud groan, she sluggishly made her way to the bathroom. There, in a half-asleep state, she turned on the shower. To her shock, the icy cold water slapped against her skin, causing her to let out a yelp. Acting quickly, she adjusted the knob to the warm water level, and a sense of relief washed over her as the almost hot water embraced her skin. She proceeded to clean herself up. After her refreshing shower, she went to her closet and thought about what to wear for college that wouldn't show too much skin.

She ended up choosing a black and gold matching sweat suit with black Vans. She tied her bum-length ginger curly hair up in a high ponytail, put on stud earrings in both of her pierced ears, and applied a little makeup. To add a final touch, she spritzed on some body fragrance. Standing in front of her full-length mirror, she admired her moon brown bulgy eyes, high cheekbones, and pointed nose.

Kimberly, with her gorgeous hourglass figure and a slim waist, admired her tall reflection in the mirror and couldn't help but smile, revealing her charming dimples. Excited for the day ahead, she swiftly grabbed her pre-packed backpack, phone, and the keys to her Benz truck. With a burst of energy, she dashed out of her room and down the stairs, where she happily met her mom.

"Hey, mom," Kimberly greeted with a warm smile, planting a gentle kiss on her cheek. "Morning, Kimberly," her mom replied, placing a spread of cookies, milk, bread, and Nutella on the table for breakfast. Grateful for her mom's thoughtfulness, Kimberly expressed her appreciation with a grateful smile and enjoyed her meal. Once she finished eating, she took the initiative to wash the dish she had used. Since her dad's passing, it had been just her and her mom, and they had been doing well, supporting each other every step of the way.

"Hey, Mum! Heading to school!" she shouted excitedly, stepping out of the house and feeling the warm embrace of the morning sun. Making her way towards her sleek red truck, she pulled out her  key and unlocked the car before driving straight to the Evergreen university . Upon arriving at college, she parked her car in her usual spot, away from the other cars to avoid feeling claustrophobic. Putting on her stylish black sunglasses, she confidently stepped out of her car, blending into the crowd as if she were invisible to those who didn't know her.
