Spectator's view

After receiving an email about participating in a novel competition I didn't think twice before participating, who knew I would be transported into my own novel without warning now I need to survive and course the event of this world to save it from its eventual doom of this world by guiding the protagonist and his friends from the shadow, pulling the string behind the scene (heavily inspired by novel's extra and author's pov) if you are the artist of this the cover art, you may email me to remove it

Mana inplant

Glancing at the main characters, each selected their weapon. Liam opted for a sword, Oliver chose a spear, Alice wielded a claymore, Ava picked two daggers, and Amelia chose a bow, just like in my original novel.

"It seems everyone has chosen their weapon. If you have a change of heart, you can come to me to change your mind, but choose carefully. You can't change your mind after your first year ends," Elizabeth announced, and everyone nodded in reply.

"Now, we will evaluate your mana capacity, current rank, and potential." She led us to another room with a floating blue crystal ball in the middle.

"We will go by attendance order, so first will be Adam." Elizabeth flipped through the papers.

Every student had an average ranking of F and a potential of C, with a mana capacity of 150. Even Amelia had only above-average stats compared to the rest. However, that consistency soon broke as Ava approached the ball.

"Now touch it and let your mana flow to the ball," Elizabeth instructed, and Ava followed her instructions. Soon, a floating panel appeared above, showing her stats.

---

**Ava Rudius**

*Mana: 400*

*Rank: E*

*Potential: A+*

---

Not only was her mana double the average, but she also had the potential of A+, a rarity among heroes.

Naturally, everyone in the room looked shocked, aside from me, who knew the future. Ava looked proud as she walked back to the crowd. Elizabeth recovered from the shock and quickly noted Ava's stats before appraising each student. Alice gave another surprise to the students.

---

**Alice Atkinson**

*Mana: 280*

*Rank: E*

*Potential: A+*

---

Having one A+ potential was already lucky enough, and yet another student broke common sense. Of course, everyone screamed in surprise as two A+ potentials were in the academy.

Next was my turn. Approaching the ball, I let my mana flow inside, and soon, my stats were shown.

---

**Ethan Smith**

*Mana: 10*

*Rank: F-*

*Potential: E+*

---

Looking at my stats and potential, my mood turned sour.

"Don't worry, Ethan. Even if your potential is not the greatest, the test shows you are excellent in academic scores, so the path of a scholar will be perfect for you. Strength is not the only thing driving humanity forward; innovative inventions can make wonders in human lives," Elizabeth encouraged me as I walked back toward the crowd.

"That's the lowest potential seen in history," some students gossiped among themselves as I returned, but regardless, the evaluation continued, and nothing eventful happened. Here are the most prominent stats that were shown:

---

**Liam Donovan**

*Mana: 300*

*Rank: E+*

*Potential: S-*

---

**Lucas Radiant**

*Mana: 290*

*Rank: F+*

*Potential: A*

---

**Oliver Houston**

*Mana: 150*

*Rank: E-*

*Potential: A+*

---

After the evaluation, the teacher let us explore the facility. As everyone dispersed to explore the academy grounds, I headed over to the academy's entrance and exited the academy grounds.

Arriving at the Mage Associate building, I entered a neat-looking lobby where many people talked, and numerous receptionists were inside.

The Mage Associates were a hub for mages, offering everything a mage might need, from mana stones to materials for research and mana implants. I walked inside and approached one of the free reception desks.

"Good afternoon, sir. What would you like to purchase from the Mage Associate?" The lady behind the desk politely asked.

"Good afternoon. I want to commission a mana implant."

"Hold on a minute." She walked back and interacted with a tablet. After a short time, she returned with a smile.

"Good news for you, one mana implanter is available, and the cost will be 100,000 tera. Would you like to pay by cash or card?"

"By card." I searched around my wallet and handed her my card. Completing the transaction, the lady made a call and told me to wait for the person to come with a handbag.

Soon, a guy entered the building and walked in our direction.

"You were the one who wanted to get a mana implant?" He looked to be in his 30s, with blond hair, wearing round glasses, and a well-kept beard.

"Yes, nice to meet you," I extended my hand for a handshake.

"Ah, nice to meet you too. The name is Mike," he smiled.

"Ethan," I shortly replied.

"I've set up a free room on the upper floor. The room number is 8." The reception lady handed me a card, and we walked upstairs.

Entering the room, which was filled with medical tools and medicine, Mike closed the door and I sat on the medical bed that was prepared.

"Do you know the exact procedure?" Mike asked as he laid his handbag on the table, preparing the necessary equipment.

"I've read a book about its history, so I'm quite familiar with the procedure." Of course, that was a lie. I was the one who created this whole world and its system. I know every breakthrough in science and the secrets of it in this world.

"It's good that youth still want to learn about the past; it prevents humanity from making the same mistakes. Anyway, do you have the mana stone?" Mike asked, and I placed the mana stone on the table.

Mike glanced at it and then quickly turned his head back to the mana stone with widened eyes.

He quickly picked up the mana stone and observed it closely.

"Wh-Where did you get this?" he asked, surprised.

"You can't ask any customer about the origin of an item or any client's possession," I recited one of the rules of the Mage Association.

"Ah- right, haha, sorry. Seeing this one-of-a-kind mana stone has sent me into a state of shock," Mike scratched his head in embarrassment.

"Still, this is the first time I've seen such a pure mana stone. People would go crazy to get their hands on this," he said, turning his head to me. "Aren't you scared about me stealing this?"

"Well, if I were you, I wouldn't risk my life for any kind of money."

"True. If I ran with this, you would probably report me, and the Mage Associate would have my ass handed to me in no time." He set down the mana stone and continued retrieving items from his bag. "Well, let's get this procedure started." He retrieved a gas tank with a mask attached to it.

"This is filled with anesthetic gas. It will put you to sleep while I work on getting this stone inside your heart."

Pressing the mask onto my face, my consciousness soon became blurry, and my vision faded to black.
