15 Denying An Undying Flame Featuring Spear Boy

(Scathach POV)

My soul feels like it's been lit a flame as since I am innately connected to this place, I can feel everything the land of shadows feels, and it has mixed emotions as with the spear child here, the corruption has been lessening, yet it also feels offended that the child almost seems unfazed by the never-ending darkness. Its emotions feel more mixed up than love-struck women.

Then the moon went dark, and a tall, ghastly knight spawned from what looked like hell itself, with its flames burning everything in its surroundings, leaving only ashes in a wide area. The knight then pointed his sword at the child, and he began to walk forward with complete calmness. The boy then says something to the knight, causing its blade to light up in golden fire as they charge each other.

The sword wielded by the armored being was oddly shaped, to say the least, as it looked like a giant fire poker but coiled in such a way that it retained its sharpness. The heat it was giving off would melt any middle-class to low-class being, but the boy remained steadfast as he made the first move; striking with his spear, the knight dodged to the right and swiped the sword in a wide arc, leaving trails of flames with each swipe and slash.

The child then ducks the swipe and doges left and right, using this opportunity to roll under the knight and slash at its back, and while the cut connects, it is too shallow to leave lasting damage. The knight, reeling from the slash, turns around and tries to stab the child as he parries the strike with the closeness of the coiled sword, leaving burn marks on his arm.

His injuries were healing, but I felt anger from somewhere. I did not focus on it as I continued to watch the knight's fire grow hotter and hotter with each passing second and its sword glowing brighter and brighter. The ashes left by the initial explosion of fire were beginning to catch flame once more, as if the entire world was being set ablaze by this being's presence.

The knight then somehow increased his speed further, grasped the child by the neck, and slammed him into the ground, leaving a small blast of fire where he landed. The child, as he burned, yelled in pain, and I almost went in out of a feeling I could not recognize, but then, from the fire, he used his spear and shoved it into the knight's leg, causing it to roar in pain, dropping the child.

The burns across the child's body were intense but somehow began to heal at a rapid pace, yet through all of this fighting, he did not show hate or anger, simply irritation. I assumed that was aimed at himself. And then, similarly to the night, he somehow got faster than he was originally, and his slashes and stabs became more powerful, as if his body was bridging the gap the more he got injured.

The fighting was intense as the flames began to swirl around the field of ashes in a tornado of flame I wondered how a normal human could survive those flames as they should have sucked out all the oxygen from the surroundings.

Yet the fight continued as the knight grasped empty air, summoning a yellow bolt of lightning and throwing it into the sky, causing a massive storm cloud to appear, and from that cloud, hundreds of lightning bolts began to rain down from the sky.

The child noticed the move and dashed between the lighting bolts using some type of movement technique. Then, he used some of the lighting through his spear and threw an arc of electricity at the knight.

The wave of electricity hit the knight, throwing it backward as the very concussive force of the blow shattered the burning trees it hit. Yet the knight was undeterred as it jumped back into the arena with its sword still ablaze. The two then eye one another with lightning crashing down around them, causing small craters to form wherever they hit.

The two then rushed at each other with such speed that it seemed almost laughable that this child was once only a middle-class being. These were the fights I used to get into with gods as the very land howled with each strike. Every clash between the spear and the coiled blade caused large cuts in the ground and leveled entire forests.

The moon seemed to be burning in the sky as the two fought for hours, each one unwilling to back down or give an inch to the other. The boy had grown during the fight but could not levy enough damage to end the fight. Yet it seemed like the fight had yet to reach its climax and seemed to only build and build intensity as the flames became more and more intense.

It's as if the fire itself was alive and refusing to go out no matter the cost, as the knight fought with the ferocity of an animal and the wisdom of hundreds of warriors. The boy so young began to fight with the skill of men decades older than himself.

It reminds me so much of them.

Win child. Do not let the flame within you die just yet, as I am the only one worthy to douse it.

(Cao Cao POV)

With each strike, I felt tons of force behind each strike. Both Cato and Celestine have remained silent during the fight in order to help me focus, yet I can feel the wisdom of my spear helping me even if I am unable to wield it. The fire this thing is producing is melting the very Stone we are standing on, and it is turning it into veritable sludge and simple air.

When it grabbed me and began to burn me on the ground, I felt the fire enter my very organs, and the pain was excruciating, to say the least. My zenkai after the burning made me stronger as a means to keep up with this thing, as if I was not in the ultimate class before this fight, but I am now.

The soul of the cinder took a slash at me with a large trail of flame following behind each blow, and my spear has only been able to last so long thanks to armament haki reinforcing it along with my man skin.

The world itself seemed to be set on fire. I couldn't see outside the arena as a tornado of flame had formed around us. When he threw lighting into the sky, I knew what was coming as I had to dodge literal bolts of lighting, which was fun, to say the least. My observational haki was being worked to its limits along with armament haki.

The very presence this thing gave off felt like the hatred of thousands crashing upon me, but I refused to give. I will not die in a fucking shadow realm. My rage fueled my focus as each strike was parried and dodged with the focus of a madman. Yet any damage I dealt was being healed by the flame itself.

The soul then struck at my right side, to which I dodged over it and slashed at the thing's helmet and sliced through it, leaving a deep gash in the rotting flesh beneath it. The armor itself is being piloted by rage and pain, as well as the dead flesh and grudges of thousands. The dead eyes looked right at me as he hefted his blade, and it turned into a staff with the coiled sword at the other end.

Waving the staff in the air at what looked like crystalline balls around it that then began to track me as I bobbed and weaved to avoid them, he charged up a large blast of blue energy in a sort of knock-off Kamehameha wave. Luckily, he could only fire it in one direction, and so I directed the small tracking crystalline energy into the wave after jumping over it, thus disintegrating it.

Again, though, I was not making headway as this thing seemed to have endless energy supplied by the land of shadows, and it charged me again and swiped at me with the ferocity of a starved beast. As I clashed with it, he summoned a light blast that blinded me, thus causing me to leap backward, and he used my momentary confusion to grab me again and try to burn me alive, to which I smiled.

I was expecting this as I took my spear and stabbed it through the chest, but I knew that it wouldn't do much, then I enacted the next part of my plan as I charged holy light into it and tried to claw the spear out of its chest.

But because it could only use its other arm, I summoned a clone using my sorcery to keep it at bay. The pain was excruciating as I could feel the flames get hotter as they tried to burn me into ashes.

But it was too late as the spear given by Scathach then exploded, and I was launched backwards. My clone was dispelled as we flew to opposite ends of the arena. My regen was working overtime to keep me in the fight, but half of my body was covered in burns, and my right arm was blown off.

And as I looked up, I saw that the thing had a huge hole in its chest as well as the left side of its body was just gone, but it was still alive. I felt nothing but rage as I stood up and focused on the burgeoning feeling within me. I let out a force that made it fall to its knees and walking slowly up to it, I grabbed it using my telekinesis and began to slam it into the sides of the arena with its armor burning away, leaving only a corpse piloted by grudge, and undying will.

The half corpse then tried to get up, and I grabbed it again mentally, forced it into the side of the arena, and then launched it into the air and summoned holy light from my left hand. I blasted it with everything, and after a blinding flash of light, it was gone, and the flames died.

As the arena was cleared of flames, I saw hundreds of beasts outside of the arena drawn to the light and power, and as they roared at me, sending my weakened state, I grabbed the coiled sword in my hand, and it began to burn in my hands.

The burns did not cease until I saw a new weapon in my hand, a spear inlaid in ash and gold. Electricity arcing through the spear, I grabbed it in my left hand as my right was still growing back.

Focusing on the feeling I had during the fight, I extended the range of my new ability, and as it hit the monsters, some were reduced to paste as the others began to run away.

However, around half of the monsters remained and began to roar in defiance. Looking towards them, my spear began to spark in my hands, and following my gut feeling, I threw it into the air. It let out a large aura of electricity, shocking a large number of the beasts into a paste.

What remained of the beasts then charged at me, seeking my blood, and as I looked at them, I closed my eyes and saw all their actions in slow motion. I smiled as, with each fight, I grew stronger. My evolution is my strength. And so I rushed them all with flames following my path and electricity flowing off of me in waves.

Again, I felt a burning gaze upon me, and it seemed satisfied as it continued to watch, but the emotion was different as I felt a small amount of pride and even relief in a way.

"Well, if she is watching, let us put on a good show," I mutter to myself as I release a wave of electricity into the endless horde. I feel an old song playing in my mind. The only thing these beasts shall fear is me. (Also, if you guys are wondering why he did not go the mirror dimension, he could only do so if given enough time as he can't open it instantly yet.)
