43 A World Changed By One Spear Boy

(Athena POV)

Is this what God envisioned?

The fall of the gods?

An end to an old order?

Watching the fight from Olympus, they saw the God Slayer kill Zeus, a sky father and ruler of their realm. His throne, which was once a grand throne of rolling clouds and thunder, had become a normal seat akin to a guest chair, and without Zeus, the realm was crumbling and tearing itself apart.

Hera, after seeing the death of her husband, had no physical reaction, but all who were watching could see that she was an emotional mess. Before anyone could ask what to do next, she was already gone. And as the god slayer left the battlefield to, I assume, recover from the fight, the world shook in rage as a mortal had defied fate and destiny and changed the landscape of the world.

Gaia, who had been dormant for all these years since the fall of her children, the giants, had begun to reawaken with the death of Zeus along with Tartarus. Still, Hades had not sent word on the happenings in the underworld for a while now, most likely to protect the fates and possibly make his own bid for the throne of Olympus.

Thankfully, we Olympians were not so diminished as to fear outside intervention as while they held satan to ultimate class beings; one single Olympian held power to deal with armies of ultimate classes and a small group of Satan class beings. But what made the world so much more chaotic was one man.

The new God Slayer. No one knew who he was other than maybe the Chinese Pantheon, as his looks told of a Chinese heritage. But even now, after a week of silence, his title was being said by anyone worthy of note in the supernatural world. Even without a name, he was inspiring fear and even awe from the world, a normal human defying the gods themselves, change unlike what most had seen before.

Another such unknown factor was Circe appearing on Olympus after hundreds of years, but she didn't say anything. She simply watched the battle between Zeus and the god slayer, and you could almost feel the greed and lust emanating from the goddess of magic as she could not analyze the techniques he was using nor even understand them. As a goddess of wisdom and battle strategy, it was amazing to watch regardless of the circumstances.

When asked why Circe was even there, she said, "That God Slayer took something of mine, so I desire something of equal value in return, all of his knowledge. He has been hard to find, but now every move he makes will make waves, and all I need to do is find the source."

She then left as Demeter, Hestia, Apollo, Dionysus, and I simply sat on our thrones. Apollo slammed his fist onto his own throne and yelled, "How?! How did this happen?! Not only Zeus but my sister as well! How can one human do this? Even that woman could not kill gods after slaying them in the battle for the first time. What makes this mortal so different!?"

Hestia then says from her pyre, "It's not what he can do but what he is. I sensed it slightly before, but now I see that he is a vacuum. An anti-divine being made flesh."

Apollo then said with utter and complete anger on his face, "Then let us hunt him down together. Let us end this being as a message to all humans that desire to usurp the divine!" I then sighed and slammed my spear on the ground, getting their attention.

"Apollo, I understand that you wish to avenge your sister if not our father, but he killed not only three Olympians at this point but are strongest when he was stronger than in his prime. If you wish to commit suicide, do it on your own; do not force others to help in your meaningless crusade. This is no longer about fulfilling some prideful desire nor some semblance of Vengeance. This is about survival! One wrong move, and we will witness the end of Olympus!"

Apollo then stood up and walked before me as his aura began to draw in all the heat from the room. "So what? He defeats Zeus, Artemis, and Ares, and you just want to roll over! You embarrass us further with your cowardice sister. It doesn't matter if I fall. I am going to kill him." he then dispersed into a plume of flame, and he was gone.

Sitting back on my throne, Demeter asks, "What do we do now? Hades will not help us; Poseidon is either obviously injured or at least angry at Olympus, and our children are nowhere near strong enough to beat him."

"It's simple: we make a compromise for our continued existence. We all know the truth about why he did this. He was simply reacting to threats to his life. No matter how angry we are, we cannot fault him for acting in self-defense. Our hubris and pride have come at nearly the cost of everything that once was. Our inaction in these recent years has led to our decline, and that decline has led to dissatisfaction. Dionysus, return to Camp Half-Blood, and while your punishment is now void with Zeus dead, I will ask if you can do this one last thing." Surprisingly, Dionysus nods and walks away to leave.

"While I mainly disagree with you on many points, Athena, if you desire peace with him, I will not demean you, for I have seen the destruction Heroes like him can wrought. If you need advice, let me know. I will always have a drink ready for you." he then raises a glass and disappears into flowing vines.

That truly leaves me in shock as Dionysus's being helpful is rather rare, but he was the one who was able to convince Hephaestus to release Hera and join the council peacefully. Speaking of which, I wonder where Aphrodite is; she has been gone since the death of Ares.

But she does not matter as I need to make peace no matter the cost.

I look to the others as they all leave, besides Hestia as she sheds tears for their fallen family, and I sit down next to her and hug her tightly.

(Indra POV)

"It seems like Sparky failed," I told the small girl next to me as she stared blankly at the upstarts battle with Zeus. She, as emotionless as ever, simply turns around and begins to leave.

"It doesn't matter as it shows the snakes I give you do work. but do not make this conflict personal, Indra, as my silence is all that matters." I nod to her as she disappears into the world due to her nature as the infinite; she can be anywhere she desires as all of space is her domain.

"Hmmph, even without the little upstart, we shall soon have all we need. The vampire girl will soon enough bring about the old dragons, and with the world in chaos and many gods faded or in decline, the world will not be ready for what comes next. God Slayer or not, this will be a war to end all wars." I then look to my armies of Asuras, all fighting one another in my honor.

It's truly a beautiful thing for such lower life forms to understand how large of an honor it is to be chosen by me. They live and die because I allow it, and they fight for my pleasure. Shiva would meditate and wait for our destined battle, but now I will take the fight to him, and with the power over life and earth, thanks to that light's grail, I will soon have everything I need.

Watching the God Slayer limp away to heal, I must applaud his durability as Zeus at that level of power needed the top ten in power, and he, while almost losing, did mage to squeeze out a victory from the jaws of defeat. Just like the hero, he is the descendant of, he just can't help but make waves.

I wonder what tricks he will have next time. And with Olympus now going to nip at his heels, another faction will form, but what would be a war without sides to fight in it?

I hope those leeches can keep that princess of theirs safe for a while longer. Otherwise, they will be reminded how low they are on the food chain.

(Azazel POV)

Utter and complete silence.

All the cadres gathered to watch the battle between the God Slayer and old Thunderbeard, and to the surprise of everyone, he actually won.

"HAHAHAHAHAAH! Yes! YES! This is what Father fought for! HA AH!" Kokabiel laughed as he saw a human defy the divine. While he despised humanity for taking away Father's attention from him, he still admired a specific number of them.

Like that muscle priest, he almost lost to all those years back. But this was almost reverent as he got up and asked, "You must allow me to find this God Slayer Azazel; I wish to fight him myself. It would be glorious!"

And there are his battle-maniac tendencies again. As I shook my head, I said, "No Kokabiel, I already have my own people going to contact him once he leaves the Land of Shadows. And you know one simple Slash from that spear will be able to kill you."

"Then it would be a fight well worth it." He said as he left the meeting room, but before I could say anything, I felt someone trying to contact me.

Opening the communication circle, I hear a familiar voice: "I see why you wanted to get in contact with this kid Azazel; I am struggling to keep my students from searching the world for him to dissect him."

Chuckling at his answer, I could practically see him holding them back as magicians are a rather stubborn bunch when it comes to learning new knowledge. I then replied, "Well, what do you say about loaning me your student for a time? I can make it worth your while."

"You will have her, but you need to make sure that this God Slayer will not harm her. Or alliance or not, I will end you." His answer makes the room go a bit tense, but I raise my hand, and they lower their auras.

"Of course, old friend, I will make sure no harm comes to your precious student. Just from the small clips I've seen of this kid, he seems very reasonable for his age, and if he's anything like normal teenage boys, I can definitely say your student will make an impression on him. In fact, I'm more worried about him stealing her away from you than from me." The line then goes dead as I sigh in relief.

Looking to the rest of the Cadre other than Satanael, who has been hard at work trying to find a way to find this kid and study the spear, but he hasn't found anything yet. It's understandable as this kid always seems to have a way out, but when you have seemingly your own pocket Dimension at your beck and call, it's understandable.

"For now, we treat this kid as an unknown but neither as an enemy nor an ally. Try to make contact and make an alliance, and under no circumstance are you to fight him for malicious reasons. We need this." I say to them all as they leave, to which I turn my chair to look outside at the underworld before me and wonder what else this kid will mess up next and what he is up to right now.

(Cao Cao POV)

Let it be known that I have survived a battle against a God of War, a goddess of the hunt and the ruler of Olympus, but I am about to die at the hands of my own teacher as she strangles me due to my apparent idiocy.

"Master, I can't answer you if you keep choking me." I could get out of this, but I want to let her vent, and it's nice to see how worried she is for me. Scylla has refused to let me go while Scatahch is being Scathach.

"Disciple, I will always accept your decisions, but why in the nine Hells did you not call me to help you battle Zeus!?" I simply sigh as I remove her hands.

"It's simple. I didn't want to add any more people to your list of enemies. I didn't free you from the curse as well as this place to have you go out and have the world against you once more. no one out there knows that you support me, but when they do, it'll put a Target on your back, and while you are definitely powerful and I do trust you to take care of yourself, there are some things I just need to do on my own." My answer seemed to pacify her as she then said,

"You are taking me next time, and I will not take no for an answer, do you understand? She asks as she holds Gae Bulg with malicious intent. I nod my head as I relax and feel the two new authorities within me, and as I call on one, I feel a spark of electricity form in my hand and see a pure yellow lighting bolt form in my hand.

Looking directly into what was apparently now my master, I saw that something came out of all that pain in addition to my smart atoms increasing my strength further with my Zenkai taking me to new heights.

"So, master, do you want to go to Romania?" I ask as she looks at me oddly.
