46 Chapter 46 - Luck

" ...if they don't have enough strength, they'll die, that's how the world is today," said Lieutenant Guren flippantly as he descended the stairs towards the cursed weapons storage area.

Shiinoa walked with her future squad and thought about the recent incident. When the lieutenant colonel checked Haka, Saotome, and Kimizuki with his activated cursed demonic weapon that squeezed the heart and whispered in your ear, trying to possess you, she felt absolutely nothing. No, it had been like that before, but she would have felt uncomfortable...but after taking that potion, she felt nothing at all. No influence from the demon, not even someone else's.

"But this..." Hanayori, one of the members of the lieutenant colonel's squad, tried to say something.

She didn't like how her commander was testing the rookies... but the world was not so simple. Even Shiinoa saw the reason that if they couldn't handle this, then there could be no talk of a normal contract with demonic weapons.

"Oh, Yoichi. Do you want to kill the vampire who killed your sister?" the lieutenant colonel stopped and looked at the boy who was huddled next to Haka because of the "scary" atmosphere. His indecisiveness stood out among the others, but surprisingly, he was the one who did not feel the pressure of the lieutenant colonel's cursed aura.

"Well..." the boy swallowed and it was clear that he was excited.

"Are you ready to risk your life to kill him? It's not too late to turn back. You can leave if you're afraid of death," he said, watching the teenager.

"Yoichi, I also think it's best for you to leave. People like you simply don't belong here," Hakuya spoke up, which surprised Shiinoa, but she remained silent. In that other world, everything was different. She was free from the burden of this world, from the burden of her family name and those looks. If it weren't for Chat Group, she would have continued to mindlessly follow orders like a puppet. She liked that there were no vampires in other worlds, but on the other hand, there were Grimm.

She listened in on the conversation a bit, hearing Yoichi finally gather his courage and say that he was willing to die to become stronger and protect those he loved. When he was a child, his sister was killed by a vampire who hid under the bed, and he saw everything the bloodsucker did to his sister... he literally bathed in her blood as the vampire drank her dry. She had understood that the world was not a place for dreamers even when she was a child. It was a cruel place where blood and tears flowed like rivers, no matter how much she wished for it to be different... she was also somewhat of a dreamer.

"With this power, I will avenge Mika and the others," Hakuya said, and the girl shook her head. Revenge, murder... is that what the world should be? The ceremony had already begun at the location where the demonic weapon was located. And how much was all that weapon worth? How much blood, how many experiments... she did not believe in the infallibility of humans, especially after Tony's words. Humans were responsible for what had happened eight years ago. However, vampires were no better...

"Someone seems excited," Shinoa noted, teasingly smiling at the lieutenant who was watching the boy falling into the magical seal, clutching the cursed weapon.

"Shut up," he denied everything.

"Your excited face says it all," the girl smirked. Guren is tall, almost shoulder-height to him... straight, just like with Anthony, but the latter is still a little taller. "Hm." She tilted her head slightly, noticing a message from the person she was thinking of.

Anthony (Administrator): Shinoa, please let me know when the vampires will attack the Shinjuku district. I think it's time for me to visit your world, don't you mind?)

"Did something happen?" the lieutenant asked, noticing something in her expression. "You suddenly smiled... don't do that."

"You don't know how to compliment girls," she turned away from him and excitedly thought about the message. Was Tony strong? What she saw in that world - yes, undoubtedly. Maybe he could fight the higher-ups in the Imperial Demon Army, maybe even win... she didn't see him fighting seriously and with all his might, so it's hard to judge. But when they sparred with the same Guren last time, he didn't show such strength and speed. No, Administrator-kun is even stronger than the higher-ups, that's for sure. She will see how far...

Shinoa Hiragi: Does Administrator-kun want to take this virgin? I... I don't mind...

Hermione Granger: Shinoa...

Shinoa Hiragi: What? What, can't a poor virgin dream now?

Shinoa Hiragi: I understand... Tony-kun. I'll let you know when it happens... I wonder how much you still know about me from the Real Memory of my world?

Anthony (Administrator): I suggested that you send the Real Memory of your world, but you don't want to.

***

After sending the message, I noticed today's date. Tomorrow marks the beginning of a new month, so I'll get the chance to buy one hundred Gachi Points, which means I'll be able to get something useful tomorrow. Well, or not, there's no third option.

"Here's our house with my father," said the sorceress, presenting a rather large and luxurious mansion that we had just teleported to. "Here, I explore the mysteries of magic and there are many different artifacts. I remember when I was a child, my father forbade me from entering some rooms... now I understand why."

"Hmm, impressive," I nodded. It was clear that the mansion was built and protected by an Archmage. And I don't even come close to that rank yet.

"Exactly," she said, clearly pleased with the mansion's compliment. The girl was surprisingly friendly right now.

"Did Madam Xanadu tell you something else that made you behave so friendly?" I asked directly.

"I'm behaving this way because I want to and because you're my guest... I couldn't turn you into a toad, but I can throw you out of the mansion," she turned to face me, clearly a little offended.

"With the help of the magic of the mansion itself," I smirked, and heard the sorceress snort.

There was a huge library of the Archmage present here, which was a treasure trove of knowledge for me, not to mention that I already had four VERY informative books. I helped Zatanna with some spells, discussed rituals, and told her about Magical Seals. Mnemonic spells are very useful and powerful, there's no dispute, but sometimes even such spells are needed, for example, for a magic focus when you can't speak for one reason or another.

And Zatanna is really a very talented and powerful sorceress, the only thing is that she doesn't have that much experience. From childhood, she knew about magic, saw her father performing magic, and listened to his stories, but for some reason, he didn't really want to teach her. But in any case, because of her father and the fact that he, like a hero in her eyes, had saved people many times, she herself decided to follow in his footsteps. Girl from childhood together with her father performed magical shows for the audience, but everyone thought it was just tricks, when in fact it was real magic.

"We're not far from Gotham now, and the mansion often changes position," she decided to tell me in the evening. "You know, you never told me who taught you magic?"

"No one... in a sense, I'm self-taught," I said. In fact, I hadn't been taught; I just assimilated the memory of someone who knew a lot. Now I was holding the Book of Souls, where Father Zatanna described the appearance of entities such as Death, what a soul is, and how dangerous it is to seal them.

"Hmm, well, okay, I'll believe you," she snickered and continued to adjust her magical seal, which floated above her hand. "Interesting art of magic."

"Mm-hmm," I nodded.

"Do you want to come with me on a hunt for the undead?" the sorceress stopped creating the seal and stood up to stretch her sore legs. Her lower ninety had my attention for a moment.

"Where did you find them?"

"There's a globe in the room, and Dad enchanted it and marked places where there's a possible mystical threat to people. I've already visited a couple of such places and was going to visit one more. It's a place near New York, will you come?" she asked with some excitement. "I'll just check these magic seals in action."

"So you're going to a place of unknown magical threat and, like your father, who's an Archmage, you want to deal with it?" I asked again.

"Yes," the girl nodded and changed her clothes with magic.

"I'm in," I finally decided to go with her. And in the evening, I was able to hunt for real undead, resurrected by a necromancer wannabe... who then died from the summoned dead that ripped his neck. After such an "exciting" journey, I returned to Lena and continued to work on the company's business. Slowly but surely, the day of the reactor's opening is approaching, which will be a huge step for the company, as our reputation will be much better after that, and there will be enough savings for other projects.

"I love you," Lena suddenly said, hugging me in bed. It was morning now, and we usually get up around this time. The girl is already walking without any problems.

"And I love you," I said from the bottom of my heart. "What made you say that so early in the morning?"

"Can't I say it anytime?" asked the mischievous girl, smiling as she climbed on top of me. Her hands intertwined with mine, and she leaned in to give me a sensual kiss. "I love you," she said again with the same smile. "I hope our parents won't get too angry looking at us... There's a heaven, right?" she asked, looking into my eyes.

"Yes, just like there's hell," I nodded. "But I'm not sure if it's worth going to either of those places." I kissed the girl just above her belly button, then pushed her off of me, causing her to yelp.

"Tony!" she shouted, barely suppressing a smile. "I wanted to give you a morning blowjob... but not anymore." She turned away from me like a child and went to the closet to get dressed. "Don't forget that we have a meeting with representatives from the district army today. They probably want to renew the contract, but with more favorable terms for themselves. That professor's reviews of your doctoral work were very high... they might ask you to make some kind of weapon," she said, her voice tinged with worry.

"Don't worry, Cortana will remind me if I'm too busy," I said, looking at the girl in her official attire. "I have to admit, I like you better without clothes."

"Tony, I'm serious. I know you're not just a regular person... but it's a whole army, so ruining relations with them could be risky."

"Lena, if everything gets out of control, we can always resort to Plan B and use magic to brainwash them all," I told her about one of the possible scenarios, and she accepted it calmly, nodding... she was such a sweetheart.

"If we have to," she agreed. "You're more important to me than a bunch of arrogant jerks." She came over to me and hugged me. "Okay, I'm going to my office. Don't forget about the meeting," she yelled as she opened the door to leave. She didn't even need to leave the building to get to her office, but I had to go to the engineering department...

Looking at the Gacha menu, I noticed that the option to buy one hundred points was available again, but this time each point cost five dollars. So in the end, I would have to pay five hundred dollars, which was just peanuts to me. Before buying one hundred points, I already had forty-one points.

Gacha Points: 141

In nine days, I will have the opportunity to spin Gacha again with an increased chance of getting something good. Right now, I can spin it twice for ten times each, and I still have one interesting thing from the previous spin.

Luck Boost Card (A)

This card appeared in my hand, and I wanted to use it. The card immediately began to break down into bright segments and disappeared, and I didn't feel anything, but it probably worked.

I heard a rustling sound at the door, and Lena walked into the apartment.

"Phew, I forgot to take the folder," the girl shouted, quickly running to the room with the folder. "Sweetie, tonight I want to stop by a specialized store," my sister said, turning to me at the door. "So get ready," the girl winked at me and closed the door behind her.

"Hmm," I nodded, it probably really works. Without hesitation, I chose the option to spin Gacha ten times in a row.
