12 Chapter 12 - The First

"The doors are open, the cameras won't see you." Cortana instructed me as soon as I got close to the main LexCorp building, which was close enough to the Daily Planet building, literally across the park and a couple of streets. (Picture)

Soon I took the elevator to the upper floors and then went out onto the stairs, which I climbed to the floor where Lex is currently resting. There was a table opposite the elevator where Mercy was sitting, which is why I went up the stairs.

Opening the door, locked with an electronic lock, I entered a cozy and equipped room.

"Turn left to bypass Mercy and approach Alexander Luthor's office." I heard Cortana's voice and followed her advice. Soon I found myself in front of the door to my brother's office, which I slowly opened and went inside. The office was more than spacious, three times larger than Lena's and my apartment. There were no cameras in the office itself, but various sensors were present.

Lex himself was now sitting on the couch and had a glass of wine in his hand, and he was looking towards the big TV, where various shots of "superboy" were being shown. "The office is equipped with the most modern presence sensors, silent alarm, and fire extinguishing." said the AI.

"Mercy, bring me the Cadmus project files." Lex spoke into the communicator. Meanwhile, I was looking around the room and trying to figure out how to proceed. After all, it will be considered the murder of a person. Even if not literally with my own hand, but because of my actions, a person will die, even if he is as rotten as an older brother. But this hitch didn't last long, I don't know exactly why, maybe because of Stark's experience or Albedo, but I pulled myself together.

"Confundus." I said, looking at Lex literally disoriented for a minute and just didn't understand what to do, his thoughts were confused and he just stood there. The fire flared up more and the smoke began to fill up the office.

"Mr. Luthor?" on the other hand, Mercy tried to open the door and she failed. She could already smell the smoke, but the door wouldn't budge.

"Confundus." I said again when I noticed that Lex was getting his sense back. In general, theoretically, it was possible to study imperio and tell him to kill himself or throw himself out of the window, but as for me, there will be fewer questions if he suffocates with carbon monoxide due to a fire caused by a short circuit.
