3 Second Chance of Life has Begun

"Wait, am I dead"? Hatoshi asked with confusion.

He sharpened his confused eyes toward the old man and he even showed oddness when stepping on the flaming ground.

"Almost." The old man calmly replied.

"You mean, I am stuck in the realm between the living and the dead"? Haoshi countered with another question.

"Precisely."

Hatoshi looked down in disbelief colored all over his face. His body became motionless as a statue and when he lifted his head to the old man as the realization of familiarity kicked in.

"So, you are the old man that I helped before right?" Hatoshi guessed in a shocking tone.

The old man nodded and glared a comforting smile at him. Suddenly, a flaming wave soared above onto the same spot as the old man. Hatoshi, undeniably shocked with his pupil shaken unsteadily from up to down.

"We are many things." The echoing flaming voice announced.

Afterward, the flaming wave spun into a vanishing realm that revealed an orange demonic armor man. It had a black voiceless void with two ocean blue eyes and an ocean blue pearl, sleeping on his chest. The hands had a pair of golden gauntlets with red pearly sleep on their arms.

"But, we have a common name, "The demonic man added in a commanding demeanor with an echoing voice, "Sparror."

Hatoshi was motionlessly stood like a statue when he gazed upon the demonic man in fear. His legs were almost ready to crumble anytime and his finger was going to pop out from his palm. While Sparror raised up the palm with a comforting stare.

"Do not be afraid of us." Sparror spoke with a comforting tone, "We here to give you a choice."

"Umm…" Hatoshi hummed as he began to talk in an apologetic manner, "Sorry, I was actually scared when I met a cosmic being like you."

Sparror gave out a little chuckling voice and Hatoshi opened the reminder with his eyes.

"And what is the choice that you are going to provide"? Hatoshi asked with an unsure tone.

"First Choice we decide to revive you again, by becoming one with us and fulfilling one of your dreams, being a superhero". Sparror spoke with one finger and met Hatoshi eyes before another one caught up, "Another choice is reuniting with your parents."

He was stunned with his eyes taking a step above instantly and his body also got up by shocks. Afterward, he placed sharp eyes towards Sparror who remained intact with calmness.

"So, you have been reading my mind and even observing me, right"? Hatoshi added a question in a confused tone

"You are correct," Sparror replied with a confident voice, "When you touch us, we went to your mind and found out when you got a superpower, you choose to become a superhero because you want to approach criminals with a pacifism mindset and bring a repetitive justice towards them".

"I guess so".

Hatoshi bit his lips and clenched both of his fists with his nervous eyes locked down. He took a glance at Sparror who still kept the commanding presence on him.

"If you don't want to take the burden as a Superhero". Sparror spoke again with a comforting demeanor, "We will be fine with your decision."

Hatoshi took a very deep breath until his lung joined to go up and released air. He opened the clenching fist and a line of tears shredded from his seemingly determined looks.

"I do want to join them, I do". Hatoshi began to speak in a sad demeanor, "9 years I have been waiting for their return and it never happen because they get killed in Superhero action. Besides they are the reason that I exist in this world".

His arm started to clean every line of tears and even wipe out the sad look into a more confident one. He sighed out with relief breath by his side.

"But, I don't want to join them, right now". Hatoshi cried with a confident voice, "Because I just saw a perfect chance to be a Superhero and I don't want to die right now".

"And you said it will be a burden to become one and eventually will lead up to your death earlier, right?" Sparror countered with a curious tone.

"I am aware of the risk, but I just want to...help and bring...peace in this world".

Sparror chuckled with his echoing voice that could be heard by the entire room and sharpened his scanning eyes onto Hatoshi who dropped a stare while forcefully pushing a confident expression.

"Most humans that become a host, especially the previous one have a mindset to bring peace that is actually-" Sparror said in a confident tone before it turns to a deep mocking voice, "Impossible".

"It may look impossible" Hatoshi exclaimed with hopeful stares, "But, it doesn't mean it is not reachable if I try hard enough".

Sparror could only nod and chuckle before he pointed his steady finger. for letting Hatoshi's eyes meet with it.

"Let us warn you about this''. Sparror warned with a commanding voice, "This will be the last time to see us because when we enter your body, we will just become a tool for you to use".

Confusion just shot through Hatoshi's expression and he remained like a person trying to find the right answer, especially with his current situation.

"And you will have my memory or even remember me after I die". Hatoshi asked in bitterness.

"No, we only remember you only in this meeting, just like the previous host". Sparror answered, "When you die, we will try to find a replacement by copying your human appearance and the current form you possessed."

Hatoshi raised his open hand in front of Sparror hands and sealed the deal with the closing golden hand. They shook their hand and flaming energy channeled through the schoolboy in arms at lightspeed.

"Before I go back to the real world, can I request the activation of the power, two hours after the accident happens for tomorrow?" Hatoshi requested with a slow polite voice

"We shall see." Sparror confidently replied.

A blazing white light echoed on the entire room and blinded everything that it touched. Reality sent back Hatoshi and he stood up half of his body in an instance on the hospital bed. His breathing became heavy like a person who just finished running a marathon and a gloomy look still rolled over his face.

Yuna, who sat beside the hospital bed, got a firework spark of happiness on her expression. She raised up her body and latched on to hug Hatoshi, tightly as possible. Waterfall tears dropped by and the hug got tighter for each second of its fall.

"Hatoshi." Yuna cried in a graceful tone, "Thank you that you're till alive."

Hatoshi without a doubt replied with another surprise hug. The gloomy look was washed away into more comforting warmful closing eyes and smiles. A little laughter appeared on him.

"I told you." Hatoshi said in a happy tone and became deeper in the following, "I survived."

"You only survived thanks to Nathan's healing machine." Yuna happily replied before she took a glance at Zero." Besides, he is already with us too

Hatoshi shot an awkward stare towards Yuna who still kept tightly her hug. Even from the left side, Zero stood and threw his face in oddness.

"You were very lucky that my technology 100, healed your near-death injury," Zero said with a nervous voice.

"Thank you very much, Nathan, for your help." Hatoshi looked with bubbling eyes of gladness.

Reminder kicked in once again on Hatoshi and took a glance at Zero with an unsecured sign on his face.

"Anyway, did the news report include me? He asked in a slow panic tone, "And what really happened with the drunk driver and the---."

"The news report already been covered, the drunk driver was already in jail, and the kid accompanied you until his parents decided to call him out after you are already fully recovered." Zero explained in a rush tone.

Hatoshi nodded and met eyes with Yuna's cheerful expression who have been accompanied him. She was cheerily glad to see her close partner recover from his fatal injuries.

"It's true what he said especially with the boy that actually accompanied me". She exclaimed with a relaxing atmosphere is given to him," Besides, everything will be fine and I am just glad that you are still here."

Afterward, she wrapped around his neck and slowly bumped with her forehead. Comfortness closed the high schoolers' eyes and Hatoshi gave a joyful smile. While Zero just threw away his attention and annoyance put his eyes down.

A few moments had passed, a metal door with a neon green three-digit number that said "314", slid open and revealed three familiar figures. A combination between a brown and black bush hair man, a short black curly hair woman, and a long and curly hair girl locked their eyes towards Hatohi who had already been released from Yuna's hug.

His eyes were glassy with happiness when seeing the familiar figures which were his family. A line of tears and gladness smoothly dropped from his eyes sockets as the three of them approached him.

"Aunt Chisato, Uncle Sasaki, and Hirata thank you ver--." Hatoshi tried to finish his grateful sentence, but to no avail when Chisato already hugged him.

"Hatoshi!!" The curly woman cried joyful tears.

Hatoshi quickly hugged back the curly woman tightly and showed a wide smile of gladness. While The bushy-haired man headed towards Zero's side and the girl approached Yuna with a bothered expression.

"Hey, Hirata." Yuna asked with a glimpse of a smile, "Do you want to hug him too"?

"Nope, why should I?" Hirata said in an annoyed tone, "I mean he's already fine right now thanks to his alien buddy over there."

Yuna only threw away a comfortable giggle and watched upon the curly hair woman who was consumed by overjoyed seeing Hatoshi in healthy condition.

"You are okay right?" She asked with overwhelming concern.

"I am fine, Aunt Chisato." Hatoshi replied, widening his smile.

The bush hair man looked onto Zero and a smile of thankfulness coloring his entire face. The silver man noticed him with sharp eyes.

"Zero, thank you very much for everything." Sasaki thanked with a grateful tone and followed by a little spice of regrets, "And do you want something as a thank you gift of s--."

Zero raised his hand and put down comforting red eyes towards Sasaki. The bush hair man sighed in relief and closed his eyes witnessing his nephew was already awakened from the accident.

"I don't need any thankful gift, thanks." Zero cut off in a deep tone

Hours later had passed and the misty dark blue sky became the center spotlight the sky. The wooden brown jeep cars with a green neon line wrapped around the wholesome door side and blended in the crowded road of Neo Tokyo.

Inside the car, Hatoshi was on the very left side of the backseat with Yuna in the middle and Hirata on the right side. Chisato and Sasaki were sitting on the front seats and specifically the bush hair man sat on the front seat. A gloomy face appeared from the schoolboy and centered around the outside view.

Hirata, still stuck by bothersome, widened her curiosity when her eyes met Hatoshi's gloominess, especially in a form of closing his lips.

"Hey Hatoshi, did you see your parents there?" Hirata asked with an ignorant tone, "Because I heard that you technically die in a short time."

A single shredded tear came out from Hatoshi's eyes and he unsteadily held a clenching fist. Yuna was shot by shocked when she witnessed her friend's condition and immediately switched a frowned expression onto Hirata.

"Hirata, you shouldn't ask that question to Hatoshi," Yuna said in a concerned voice.

"Hey, it's only a question." Hirata countered, "Besides, he could handle it."

"You better be quiet Hirata!" Chisato shouted deeply, "Hatoshi was not in the right mind to answer those questions, especially because he just survived an accident."

Hirata's face was slammed by frightfulness and she shakenly met her mother, sharp stares of anger colored the entire face. A sweat of fear dropped on her forehead and leaned her back towards the comfy seats.

"Sorry, mom, I didn't mean to do that." Hirata murmured in a sad tone.

Chisato threw down her angry face before reshaping it into concerned eyes. Afterward, she switched her attention towards Hatoshi who kept his interest in the outside world with tears currently dropping.

"It's okay Hatoshi, you don't have to answer that question," Chisato suggested with a concerned tone.

"Just rest for now Hatoshi and tell us if you wish not to go to school tomorrow," Sasaki added with a relaxing tone.

Hatoshi closed his eyes in sadness and Yuna enveloped his hand with a concerned stare painting her face. While Hirata rolled her eyes as Chisato began to look ahead. As for Sasaki who gave a sharp odd look when his eyes met with a reflection of Hatoshi in the back seats, sealed by a black plastic frame cylinder-like glass above.

Couple of hours later passed away from the scene and a day had passed. The blue sky in the morning roared with the dazzling light of the world, especially at Masafumi Highschool. While beneath the high school, there were many students who filled the spot with their own break time activities.

Lively Sakura trees barricaded the sunlight with blooming flower villages and gloomy Hatoshi that leaned on the thick tree body, partially gaining a warm safety in his lonely spot.

Beneath his sad expression, four papers were scattered tidily and they captured pencil-drawn male figures. The first paper had a design of a medieval knight with two sets of twister-like bull horns. The second paper almost had the same body shape as the previous one, but the helmet resembled a trojan warrior.

However, the third and fourth papers chose different designs that thematically resembled spandex superheroes.

A muscular body with a plain suit, long pants with thick black underwear, and a cape that was almost as tall as the body for the third paper. The fourth paper was still similar to the third design when it comes to body design, but the different things opened an opportunity for the muscular arms to show to the public eyes, a large belt wrapped around, long pants without underwear.

"To be honest, I didn't even know what's going on with me"? Hatoshi started a conversation with his mind by a whine, "Other than surviving from that horrific accident, I made a rush choice with so-called cosmic beings for my second of living because....my stance."

"A stance of becoming a Superhero when I have power," Hatoshi added with a regretful tone in his mind. "I am an idiot. I threw away my chance to join my parents just for fulfilling a childhood dream world that in reality took their lives."

Hatoshi locked his sharpeneed eyes towards the scattered papers with superhero outlines trapped inside. Then, a sudden smile of gratitude bloomed and washed away any traces of gloomy influence within his face.

"But, why should I complain right now?" Hatoshi countered his whine, "I already made four designs for my possible Superhero costume appearance when that cosmic being finally gives an access to its power."

Hatoshi chuckled and his eyes suddenly were burned by a dancing flaming ball and vanished into pure yellow eyes that functioned like a lamp. However, it only lasted shortly because the schoolboy closed the yellow eyes and regained access to the opened eyes.

He steered his attention to the left and gazed at Yuna who standing in front of him. A warmful smile greeted him as the schoolgirl immediately took a seat beside him before she enveloped his hand in a comforting demeanor.

"Hatoshi, are you okay"? She asked with a worried tone, "You had been acting like a loner ever since you got out of the hospital."

Hatoshi pulled a very long deep breath and willingly let out a chilling wind that flew away from his lung. A relaxing expression was being put into his face, but only partially with his eyebrows slowly going down.

"Sorry for bothering you, I am just trying to process everything that happened to me yesterday," Hatoshi murmured in a little bit of regret.

Yuna leaned to his chest in a gentle manner that made him surprised. A soft and wide smile appeared on her face. as well as a relief atmosphere that was being captured by Hatoshi closing his eyes.

"It's okay, Hatoshi and I understand your viewpoints about all the crazy stuff happening to you," Yuna said with a comforting voice.

As Hatoshi continued to feel the flow of comfort with his close partner by his side. Yuna steered her interest onto the picture of the four. Curiosity arrived in the form of closed lips by looking at the variety of designs.

"And why did you make another rough design, even though you already have a five superhero drawing that is ready to be posted in Duogram?" Yuna asked in a curious voice.

"Just a rough sketch, Yuna." He replied with a calm tone and chuckled.

Yuna started a blooming smile towards her close partner who seemed fine and realization shocked Hatoshi when he continued to glare at her.

"I bargained two hours after yesterday's accident towards the cosmic being and I know what to do right now. Even though I am not sure I'm going to change at the same time of the accident or worse earlier." Hatoshi spoke within his mind.

Then, Hatoshi sharply locked on Yuna who was still amazed by the drawing and he lifted his folded hand. She turned her attention to Hatoshi and he bit his lips with steamy red blush, which boiled his face.

"Yuna, do you want to go somewhere or some places that only include both of us after school, especially before your part-time job starts"? He asked sheepishly.

"Sure." Yuna reluctantly said with a warm smile and eyes closed.
