Chapter 38: Strange Carnivores
I woke in my bed with a warm body at my back. I rolled over to give Bubba a kiss good morning and came face to face with Diana. She licked my face and panted at me.
"Laugh at me, will you?" I said and pushed her off the bed.
I smelled coffee on the way to the shower and made a detour to the kitchen for my kiss. The kiss led to another kiss and Bubba turned the heat off under breakfast while we followed the kisses to the logical conclusion.
He finished cooking while I took my somewhat delayed shower.
"I must be more out of touch than I thought," Bubba said, "I wasn't aware that life moved this quickly these days."
"I've spent more than my fair share of time shooting pictures in war zones." I said. "I learned that if you wait for tomorrow, it may not come. Between vampires and carnivorous frogs I may not have time to waste."
"That makes sense," Bubba said, "but we do need to decide what to do with the carnivorous frogs."
"Vampires aren't a problem?"
