44 Chapter 44

I gave Sona a very long look as she likewise looked at me with a frown as she continued. "Rias had to deal with the Fallen trouble while you were out on your bounty hunt... And unfortunately, the Pawn she resurrected when you arrived in this world died again when a fallen used an illusion of his parents or something before sticking him in the throat with a light spear."

Sona took a breath as she continued with clear regret on her face. "Issei Hyoudou literally just unlocked his Longinus... A weapon that could kill gods, and he gets stabbed in the throat by a mook of a Fallen Angel, it would have been almost funny if I didn't need to comfort Rias who went out of her way to help Issei's parents get over the loss with some mild hypnotism."

I brushed my hand across my face at the news as I remembered playing dodgeball with him not even a few days ago. Hearing he was dead... Wasn't that great as it appeared that his plot armor wasn't nearly as 'dense' as it should have been.

And then it hit me... She wanted me to help Rias get past her own engagement issue in Riser, as she was certainly up shit creek without a paddle when it came to fighting Riser with her neurotic Peerage members without a Longinus on her side.

So I nodded slowly as honestly, getting the power of Destruction and maybe more from making a contract with Rias Gremory was my best bet for long-distance pure destruction as I already had my Mystic Eyes of Death Perception for up close combat.

Seeing my nod Sona cleared her throat and said. "Very well, I will send her a message that you are open to negotiations. Along with my personal resume of your talents besides what you showed when you defeated Koneko without much issue... Is there anything else you wish to discuss Jake?" She asked kindly but it was clear with the literal stack of papers on her desk that she still had stuff to do.

After a moment I spoke up as there was one thing on my mind. "Do you have anything in mind, that I should ask Rias for? In the contract, besides just the Magician's Pact?"

Sona raised an eyebrow and her lips moved as she held in a thought before she smiled and said evenly. "Ask that you are treated the same as her own Peerage members, and you will likewise take part in her rating games under my advisement."

'Oh... She is trying to play both Rias and I, all to both of our benefits as well.' I thought hiding a smile at the very reserved girl's actions in helping me grow in power so I stood up and spoke. "Very well, I will be awaiting Rias's summons when she's available. But for now I am going to be dealing with the broken birds I picked up."

The more responsible ruler of Kuoh gave me a hand wave in dismissal as her head dipped down low to return to her paperwork with her glasses shining and obscuring her eyes view as she silently went to work as I left the room.

I walked back to the section of the apartments in the Student Council section of the school and I knocked at the door of the Nakano quintuplet sisters. "Girls, you awake?" I asked cracking the door open as I spoke.

A harsh silence was my answer before a feminine voice spoke out with clear wariness. "Yes... we are awake."

I pushed the door open the rest of the way and with a spare mattress covering the window to block out the natural sunlight took in the five forms of the Quintessential Quintuplets. With all them actually being awake and not in a coma this time!

"Nino, I hope you and the rest are feeling better." I spoke softly as I stepped into the room and took a seat on a free seat next to a writing desk that was obviously meant for homework.

Nino Nakano the pinker haired quintuplet snorted at my question as she spat rhetorically. "Oh we are just peachy... I had to suck on the blood of some random mage dude who killed the man who killed our own father. And then while my sister's were sleeping you likewise fed them your blood while they were still asleep."

I gave Nino a bland look as I flexed the contract she formed as my Vampire Familiar and she stiffened as I said firmly. "Nino don't take your frustrations out on me. I have only helped you." I said simply before taking a breath and speaking to all five of the sister who stiffened as my mana fell onto their shoulders to remind them I was a powerful mage that could decide their fates with a wave of my wrists.

"Now all of you." I spoke seriously. "I am a mage who can go to fictional worlds and bring back items of power, and even people. I can name a dozen ways I could resurrect your father, but if you are going to be... Difficult then such wonderful things won't happen." I finished bluntly and all the girls looked at me with various expressions.

Some with pure hope, some with anger at my clear blackmail to get their obedience but regardless I continued. "I want to help you five. But supporting five vampires I need to train up... And feeding you my own blood is obviously going to put some strain on myself. Is it so wrong to ask you five to listen to me while you even get your feet underneath yourself?" I asked rhetorically.

And I wasn't even joking about the resurrecting their dad bit... I mean I could just run off to Azeroth in WOW and just pick up a few scrolls of resurrection or whatever, and maybe even learn some of their magic as well.

Should I like... Not be instantly nuked by the Dragon flights or a Titan sensing my entry into the world or whatever.

But before I could continue the darker red haired quintuplet Miku spoke up softly and quietly. "I want dad back... You helped us so you don't need to worry about us making issues." She visibly took a breath and continued. "I am also willing to make the same contract that Nino made with you last night as well!"

Nino flushed and looked at her sister and raised an X with her arms across her chest. "Nuh-Huh Miku! I forbid it!"

And Miku just snapped back with actual teasing in her voice. "What? Are you jealous, don't want to share the contract with the rest of us?" She questioned before she herself froze and flushed asking quietly. "Wait... It's something perverted to make the deal right?"

Nino's atomic red face was answer enough for Miku and the rest who deeply flushed as their minds raced at Nino's clear denial to answer as to what sealed the deal for the contract.
