☯The First One to Rob a Dead Corpse☯

As darkness sunk and the light starts to spreads across the sky, on the middle of the dark forest, Ray had gathered equally four loot bags and one sword from these five corpses.

Although his loot was right, he didn't have a smile across his face but a frown instead. He sat in front of these five corpses figuring out something.

"Why come I haven't earned points yet?" He muttered to himself, before looking on the four loot bags, overall, he had five loot bags and two swords and still hasn't check those bags yet, but he knew there's something definitely worth inside in one of those bags.

However, he didn't move out because he still hasn't earned his points yet.

After waiting for about ten minutes, he couldn't stay any longer, not because the sun is rising, but because of the stench of the blood of this place.

If he stayed here any longer, he's afraid that beast might found this place, thus endangering his life if he doesn't move out now.

"Ahh, whatever, I'm out of this place." Ray sighed before standing up, he took five loot bags over his shoulder, one sword behind his back and one sword on his waist, the one he got from the tree loot bag.

When he was about to move out, a streak of light appeared in the skies and flew down.

Ray instantly sensed this presence and looked at the light.

There, a small bird, covered in red light.

*Screee~*

The bird cried out then looked straight to Ray. The bird waved its wings, and a fist-size token flew out. Ray quickly caught the token, and as soon as he did, the bird flapped its wing before departing, leaving a red streak of light.

"So that's the messenger..." Ray looked on the dissipating red light before looking on the token he received.

There, unique words and unique energy radiated from it, soon these words seemed came to be alive, and letters formed creating a word 'six.'

"So these are my points?" Ray smiled as he tucked his token on his shirt, without even bothering to look on the dead bodies behind, he departed and went straight towards the lake, where he and his friends will meet up.

Sun finally rose across the skies and light have lit up the darkness of the forest, revealing it's true colors to the eyes of participants of the event.

The beauty of this forest was undoubtedly looked peaceful. However, one can not judge the book by its cover as countless beast cries rang out across the southeast region.

The hunters of the day finally woken up!

"Geez, what the heck happened to him, he's the one who said we would meet up by the time the sun rises up." Kate furrowed her brows as annoyance covered her face, she sat on a large rock by the river with her arms crossed together. Her legs are also crossed together.

Beside her, is a two loot bag with bows and arrows tucked to it, and just beside it is Mark with his arms crossed together looking in the direction where Ray went to.

"He probably had an encounter a good chance, because I can feel that he's going to brag about something." Mark smiled as he assured.

Kate peeks at Mark before shrugging her shoulder. She stared at the flowing water below as memories filled her vision as she lost was on thought.

Before she had met Ray, Mark was already his friend although she didn't really know when and how did they meet each other because, by the time she met Ray, the friendship between the two was really strong enough to be called sworn brothers.

Back then, she was really a spoiled brat from a high-class family, only when she had encountered Ray and Mark did she changed into a delinquent-like attitude that despised by her parents.

But despite the criticism of her family, she didn't care as she preferred to be free like Ray and Mark.

She had met Ray when she encountered him on the woods when she got bored and escaped from the mansion. Ray, back then was no more than a plebian that lacks with manner and etiquette for her, because she had personally seen Ray wrestling against a boar. While Mark is sitting on a rock, nibbling a fruit watching Ray wrestle the boar.

Watching them afar behind the tree, despite the view on her eyes that were trained by her parents, deep inside she already had failed her parents like the feeling of happiness and craving from freedom had melted her frozen heart that her parents set upon her.

Because of that, she gathered her courage to approach them.

Seeing her had made their eyes bulged out, and Mark's fruit fell from the ground.

Remembering the way Ray and Mark introduced themselves, it was already carved deep inside of her memories.

Such scenes made her smile softly... Without you guys, I will always be trapped in that frozen world and act as a puppet to benefit my father's wishes. I was merely a card ready to be used, without you two, I will never know what's happiness is like.

Seeing her smiling while lost in thought, Mark stared at her for a while before giving a faint smile... You better return alive, or else I will win her over you.

*Rustle*

Suddenly, the bushes on their front rustled. Although they were usually vigilant on the surrounding for their safety, both Kate and Mark weren't because they have now a weapon of their own, and across them is a flooding river, and Kate can quickly shoot down that person or beast when they decided to attack them.

A figure covered in blood and dirt came out with five loot bags over his shoulder, and he had two weapons.

Seeing this had initially shocked, even Kate couldn't help to have cold shrill running around her body as she stood up and took her bow and arrow.

Meanwhile, Mark didn't move as he looked on the person, soon enough he realized who the person was as his serious face soften, then grabbed Kate's shoulders, "That's the idiot whom you're looking for."

"E-eh!? Holy crap, why are looked like that! Ray, you piece of sh*t, are you okay!?" Kate was extremely stunned to see Ray like that so she really couldn't help to say something that even made the quiet Mark laugh.

Kate put her bow and arrow down and quickly leaped over the rocks on the river before arriving at the other side safely. She was followed by Mark with a smile on his face when looking at Ray.

Ray dropped the heavy bag on his shoulder creating a faint thud on the ground as he approached his friends with his arms wide open, "Oh, my luck must be good to see a goddess worrying about me."

Seeing this, The running Kate immediately did a 'U' turn, "Euh, no thanks, you two can go ahead." When she arrived behind Mark, she kicked him on the bottom, "Wai-"

"Wahahaha! Eat this Mark, blood and dirt of bastards!" Ray didn't hesitate as he accepted the incoming body of Mark and tightly hugged it while scrubbing his dirty and bloody face on his clothes.

"Godd*mn! You stink!" Ray smell barraged Mark sense of smell and tried to kick him away, but Ray was clinging him tightly.

While the two is struggling, Kate almost wants to laugh while crying before turning around and looked on the bags that Ray bought.

"Get off!" Mark finally had a chance to kicked him that made Ray shoved his face on the ground.

"Mark you damn-!"

"Whut, you want a piece of me?"

"Who would want to take a piece of you, eat this sh*t!"

"Oi you bastard!"

"Bahaha, frick off, I'm going to wash myself." Ray quickly ran towards the river the lake as he dived straight in.

Seeing him swimming around the lake, Kate stared at him while Mark stood beside her while grunting badly at Ray silently.

"He is unusually energetic this time, what do you think happened?" Kate turned to look at Mark.

"He just probably missed us, for a short amount of time he had already missed us. Pathetic." Mark shrugged his shoulder while patting his clothes.

Kate smiled before turning to look at Ray once again, "I don't think so... I think he didn't want us to be worried about him, he's such a kid." She couldn't help to softly laugh.

"Yeah..."

"Also, stay away from me, you stink."

"Ugh..."

After washing himself, Ray removed his upper clothes and sat around with his two friends.

Although Kate had been with Ray for a long time now, she had seen Ray naked countless time, so she wasn't bothered by it, they even wrestle around with few clothings covering their bodies when they spar.

Ray settled with his friends sitting, facing him as he talked about what really happened.

"So... You've finally killed someone..." Kate was rendered speechless.

"Ray... How did it feel like killing someone?" Mark asked carefully.

"To be honest... It felt weird, it's like there was a feeling of ecstasy when you killed someone, I just realized this when my rage had finally receded back, maybe that was the feeling that made me hunt those people who escaped and killed them despite the fact that they've been really far away from the original location." Ray slowly explained while looking on his palm.

"Like you've imagined, I think the same... The mad qi that we have to cultivate really drive us insane if we have a weak mind, especially when we don't have yet cultivated spiritual energy... If what you've said is really true and experienced by my own self, I can safely clarify that we're being trained to be a monster." Kate seriously said while playing a tiny stone from the ground.

Mark didn't make a remark as he looked at the two before giving a sigh, "So you get a token when you finally killed someone?" he asked.

Ray nodded, he stretched his hand and took his freshly washed clothes and took a palm-size token out and passed to Mark, "That's what I got."

Mark quickly caught this, and Kate quickly sat beside him, and the two of them investigated the unique looking token.

"So this the token that holds points huh," Mark muttered while fiddling the token with his hands, he passed it to Kate which she excitedly accepted and fiddled it around aswell.

"Mark, I think we should start obtaining points quickly... The more points we earn, we would be able to build up points for us to be able to give up if we want to give up here in the event." Ray said thoughtfully as he stared directly to his eyes.

Mark nodded, "Obviously, we can let ourselves die in a place like this." he smiled as he agreed to the plan.

"How about you, Kate?" Ray asked.

Kate was stunned to hear that, she gave a weird look on Ray before saying, "Are you guys going to leave me here?!"

"Stupid... Of course." Ray smiled as he poked fun of her, and that was the last moment Ray had seen the light as Kate's slim body pounced towards him and beat him.

Ray was utterly knocked out by Kate, such a scene had actually terrified Mark as he kept his mouth shut.

"Mark, let's go and hunt some points!" Kate coldly harrumphed as she took her bow and walk on big strides, she was indeed pissed off.

Mark sighed before looking on Ray. He didn't follow Kate immediately and tried to find some way to wake Ray, because no matter how he looks at it, the group of them was definitely lead by Ray.

As such, he can't let Ray fell asleep in broad daylight.

To wake him up, he will do some drastic measure!

He lifted his hand, with a wave of his hand it flew directly to Ray's face before smacking against it.

*Slap!*

"That'll wake him up soon. Haha." Mark laughed as he quickly moved away from him and went towards Kate.

"Shhh~" Hearing his approach quickly startled Kate. She immediately signalled him to be quiet and lower her body to avoid getting caught.

Seeing this, Mark relaxed expression turned serious as he slowly and carefully kneels next to Kate.

Just ahead of them, right next to the surging river, two figures are relaxing.

A naked boy and girl relaxing while clinging to each other.

Seeing this with their own eyes, both Kate and Mark are stunned, shocked, and even confused!

"What the-! What are they doing!" Mark was the very first to react, his face was instantly beet red then he quickly tried to cover Kate's eyes only to be slapped by her hand.

"Shush-! Don't make a noise, I don't know what are they doing, but we definitely need to investigate." Kate glared at Mark, she was clueless about to the doings of those two.

"T-they definitely had... Such a thing cannot be seen with your eyes!" Mark tried to cover her face only to get punched in the stomach.

"Mark, shut up! Let me see!"
