26 Chapter 26

[Third Person's PoV]

"We were just in the middle of that, Headmistress. I was just having him show me the classes he's able to take on," said Tenken.

"First, what are his abilities? You called for a Code Violet, right? That means he also possesses two abilities. Then tell me the classes," Tsunade asked, looking towards Tenken.

"Summoning: SSS+ and Hypercognition: A," Tenken read out.

Tsunade let out a whistle, looked towards Tohru and the others before turning her gaze to Futarou, "An SSS+ and A+ rank ability, not bad, kid. I take it these are your summons... you even have a dragon."

Tenken was surprised and looked towards Tohru, 'I see, so those aren't just her abilities or something that changes how she looks; she's a bona-fide dragon,' he thought.

Futarou nodded before introducing them. Tsunade nodded at their introduction, "I still haven't gotten your name, kid. What is it?"

"Futarou Uesugi."

"Tsunade Senju, but you can just call me Headmistress."

"Does that mean I already passed? Cause if it does, then that would be anticlimactic," Futarou said.

"Of course, it does. Do you have any idea how rare having an SSS+ ability is?" Tsunade asked, to which Futarou just shook his head.

"There are only ten in the entire world, with Japan having only one, but she spends most of her time in dungeons than she does in the outside world. America has two, China has two, India has one, Korea has one, Germany has one, one is nomadic and doesn't stay in one place, UK has one, and I already mentioned Japan's. Kid, that makes you the world's 11th SSS+ rank hunter, which would boost Japan to be able to compete with the other two powerhouses. And I'll be forever known as an idiot if I don't accept you."

"Kid, are you upset you won't be tested?" Tsunade asked in amusement, seeing Futarou's disappointed expression.

"Yeah... I mean, when the rankings come out and I'm not first, how am I supposed to show off?"

Futarou heard Puck let out a sigh behind him, which caused his lips to twitch, 'I'm not that bad, am I?'

Tsunade just shook her head, "Relax, would you? You would still be tested, but that's for us to determine how to train you and what classes you would need to take. Now, what classes can you fill out?"

Futarou repeated what he previously told Tenken, causing Tsunade to raise a brow.

"Just so you know, you would need to take a test for each of those to show you are worthy to fulfill those roles," Tsunade said, her expression turning serious. "Are you certain that you are able to handle them all? Being the jack of all trades, master of none, isn't what's best for everyone. Sometimes you need to stick to one in order to master them."

Futarou's expression turned as serious as hers. He looked her in the eyes and said, "Don't look down on me, or all the training I've done until this point. Just because other people tried to go down that route and mastered none doesn't mean I suffer the same fate as well. I could very well become the jack of all trades, master of all."

"We'll let your skills do the talking then. Show me that you are able to handle them all during these tests. And if you fail in any one of those you apply for, you would have to promise to stop going down this route and focus only on your strongest skill sets," Tsunade retorted.

"What would I get in return?" Futarou asked with a smirk.

"What?"

"You're making a deal with me, right? You're telling me if I failed I would stop learning what I love doing, so what if I prove you wrong, and I win our deal? What would I get in return?"

"I'm doing this for your own good, you bastard, and here you are trying to take advantage of the situation."

Futarou just looked at her, batting his eyelashes innocently at her while smiling, causing Tsunade to grumble.

"Fine, what do you want?"

"I want an A-rank dungeon to myself."

"What!? Kid, are you crazy?"

"Only a little, I haven't been tested yet."

Tsunade looked at Futarou with a glare, then looked towards Tohru and the others. After pondering for a bit, she let out a sigh, "Fine... but if you fail, I want a favor from you I can cash out anytime I deem fit."

Futarou stuck out his hand, with a smile, "Happy doing business with you."

Tsunade just grumbled before shaking his hand.

"You said you are able to fulfill the role of a healer, right? Then I would be the judge of that. Follow me," Tsunade said before taking his form and leading him to one of the many doors. This door had a large white cross in the middle.

Futarou and the others followed behind Tsunade. The white door was connected to a long corridor, almost looking like a tunnel, with another white door at the end of it.

"As you may know, I'm one of the best healers in the world," she said proudly. "So many injured Hunters come here to get treated; most of them agree to become test subjects that we use to test the students and examinees."

"Your job will be to heal as many as you can in a short period of time. Normally, if a regular examinee fails, then they would also fail the test and wouldn't be accepted. Luckily for you, your SSS+ ability will save your ass if you fail, but that would mean you would have failed our bet as well," Tsunade explained.

Tsunade opened the door at the end of the corridor, revealing a medical wing with patients groaning in pain, some with missing limbs, and others with bandages covered in blood. People around Futarou's age ran around with their hands covered in a green glow, while adults with clipboards stood nearby, taking notes.

As Tsunade entered, most of the adults bowed their heads to her in respect, while Tsunade nodded in acceptance.

"I can heal them all at once, but wouldn't that disrupt the others taking the test?" Futarou asked.

"There are more than one examination room, so no, just do your thing," Tsunade explained.

Futarou nodded, and his grimoire started to fly towards him, glowing slightly gold. He brought his hands together and activated one of the spells he learned and developed during his five months.

[Buff/Blessing Magic: Sacred Grounds]

The way Futarou learned it was pretty simple actually; he just used the buff "speeding recovery" towards the ground underneath him, and his grimoire started flipping pages rapidly, manifesting the spell Sacred Grounds.

The user designates an area where recovery would quicken rapidly, and due to Futarou's Intelligence stats, the effects were powerful.

Wounds started to rapidly disappear with a soft and soothing glow. Futarou then, while keeping the spell activated, decided to add another on top of it, as he saw the limbs weren't coming back.

[Buff/Blessing Magic: Sacred Grounds + Restoration]

With the added spell on top, all missing limbs started to be restored, a glow seen where their legs or arms once were, causing shock to everyone as their limbs returned.

They turned to Futarou and immediately started offering their gratitude, tears in their eyes.

"Thank you, now I don't have to quit being a hunter and can still support my family."

That sentence was said many times, and it came as a surprise to Futarou. He then felt a hand on his shoulder.

He looked towards Tsunade, who was looking at him with a serious expression, "Become my disciple."

"..."

"... Huh?"
