20 Chapter 20

[Third Person's PoV]

Futarou flew towards the skies and above the clouds in excitement at being able to fly. Once he was high enough, Futarou started swinging around Shusui. A small tornado formed around the blade, increasing its sharpness. After he was done, Futarou landed back on the ground in the mountains where he flew off and undid his transformation.

He looked at his sword and mentally asked, "So what do you think?"

Paimon was surprised once again as she was able to hear Futarou's voice inside her head, when normally it would be difficult to communicate with their King Vessel if they didn't possess enough power.

"How are you doing that?" she asked, growing more curious the more she interacted with Futarou.

"I'm a man of many talents, what can I say… the moment you entered Shusui was the moment you became my Djinn, thus forming a connection with me, a contract so to speak. I'm someone with a high affinity towards spirits, thus I possess the ability to speak telepathically with those I form a contract with, and I also have an easier time merging with them."

"Interesting… I'm growing more and more excited to see what your future holds," which was evident based on her tone.

Just as Futarou sat on Chastiefol to go home and continue talking to Paimon while trying to get to know her, he detected something falling out of the sky.

His eyes widened at what it was; it landed with a large thud that even the ground started to shake.

Futarou slowly flew towards the scene on Chastiefol's pillow form, and his eyes widened as he was correct in what he saw.

"A dragon…" he muttered.

A green-scaled dragon was lying on the floor, breathing heavily as smoke escaped its nostrils and mouth. It had a giant sword sticking out of its back, drawing blood from the creature.

'Is my spell really that strong? I mean, for its consequences, I expected as much, but to practically throw a dragon onto my lap is just… wow.'

Futarou flew towards the dragon and asked, "Need help?"

The dragon growled, "Leave, you lowly human, before I burn you to cinders."

"Uh-huh… Are you sure? Because you seem to be in pain."

"I won't ever accept help from an inferior species," the dragon scoffed in disdain.

"Are you sure? Since I could just easily go over and pull the sword out, then you'll turn out better?"

The dragon continued scoffing while it continued breathing heavily, causing Futarou to sigh.

"Seriously… I heard dragons were known for their stubborn pride, but this is too much." Futarou willed Chastiefol to fly towards her back.

Futarou landed on her as he got off Chastiefol, he took hold of the sword embedded in the dragon with one hand before yanking it out.

"ROOOAAR!!" The dragon let out a painful roar before releasing a sigh of relief.

Futarou reached into his system and pulled out a Senzu bean. As he jumped down towards the dragon, Futarou pried open its mouth and chucked the Senzu bean inside.

Futarou then looked into its dragonic eyes, "Value yourself more, would you?"

The dragon made a gulping noise, which caused the wound on her back to start closing up.

The dragon then started glowing before growing smaller and smaller, gaining a more human shape.

The dragon transformed into a beautiful girl with long blonde hair with flaming orange tips and red-orange eyes with dilated pupils, a green thick scaly tail, 2 horns that look like branches, and a buxom figure with large thighs and large breasts, wearing a brown cloth that covered most of her important assets.

She sat cross-legged on the floor and bowed her head, "You have my gratitude, Human."

"The name's Futarou Uesugi, what's yours?"

"Tohru," she answered, looking up towards Futarou.

"So, how did you end up in that state to begin with?"

Tohru gained an arrogant expression as she said, "I was fighting a God."

"And you lost miserably then," Futarou nodded his head in understanding.

"I didn't lose," she growled before looking down shyly, "Since I'm still alive, that just means our fight is still undecided."

"So what? Are you going to go back and continue fighting?"

Tohru sprawled herself on the floor and grumbled, "Even if my pride hurts to admit it, if I go back I'll probably just end up dead, so I think I'll just stay in the human world for now. After all, this world has a non-interference status to it so I'll just stay, probably explore it."

"I'd be careful if I were you," Futarou warned her.

Tohru just looked at him in confusion.

"There are a lot of strong people in this world. I don't know how it is in your world, but in this one, if they see you, they would kill you on sight without an ounce of hesitation."

"And why is that? Is there a war between humans and dragons here as well?"

"Worse… a war between monsters and humans."

Tohru looked at Futarou for more information. Futarou sighed before sitting on Chastiefol, he expanded the pillow slightly and patted his side.

Tohru was unsure of what to make of it but still went along, "Ohhh fluffy!" she exclaimed as she jumped up next to him.

Futarou put Shusui on his lap, "Listen as well, Paimon, so you can understand my world better."

Futarou then started to narrate what occurred in this world 100 years ago and the current developments.

Tohru whined as she laid on Chastiefol and began throwing a tantrum, "I see so they will assume I came from the gate and hunt me down. I don't want to go home though, arghhh!"

"There is a way they wouldn't hunt you down," Futarou suggested.

Tohru looked at Futarou, waiting for him to continue.

"Become one of my summons," Futarou proposed. "As I mentioned, everyone at some point awakens an ability. I happen to be one of those cases where I developed 3. One of them is to make contracts with beings and have them work under me."

Tohru understood where Futarou was going and started to become a bit uneasy until she felt Futarou petting her head and smiling at her.

"Let me guess, your dragon pride wouldn't let you be under someone?" Futarou teased.

Tohru blushed but nodded her head, glad to see Futarou wasn't upset. After all, even if they just met, Futarou is still her benefactor, and she wouldn't want to offend him.

"You're not mad?" she asked curiously.

Futarou shook his head and scoffed in amusement, "You're a dragon, I knew you wouldn't agree to it right away. So there's something else I'd like to suggest… let's fight."

"What!?" Tohru exclaimed in surprise.

Futarou nodded, "That's right. If we fight and I beat you, then that would show you I have every right to be your master. What do you say?"

"Beat me? Are you looking down at me?" She growled displeased, "Although you found me in a weakened state, that doesn't mean I'm by any means weak," she emphasized, her dragon eyes narrowing, showing she was serious.

Futarou sighed, "I'm not looking down at you…" He activated his Sharingan and looked at her, expelling an overbearing presence. "But I'm by no means weak. I just have the confidence to fight you head-on."

The two stared into each other's eyes without saying anything until Tohru sighed. "Very well."

She turned into a dragon and turned towards him, "Get on, let's go away from the human city."

Futarou nodded and got onto her back before flying to the sky and away from any nearby city.…
