13 Chapter 13
[Third Person's PoV]
As soon as Futarou walked through the portal he realized he stepped in a liquid, when he looked around he realized the location was a swamp and what he stepped on was dirty green water
"Yuck…now my socks are wet"
Futarou let out a loud exhale in resignation before walking ahead through the swap. As he made his way through the difficult waters he came across a group of Lizardman each wielding a Spear in one hand with a shield in the other, while also wearing metal armor that covered their already scaled green skin.
Their reptilian eyes locked onto him before they all ran towards, Futarou was barely able to see as they maneuvered their way towards the swap and approached him.
Futarou twisted his body to the side as one of the Lizardman tried to pierce him with his Spear. The others then started to quickly encircle him to not let him escape.
Futarou activated his Sharingan before pulling out Pyro Pike, they tried to pierce through Futarou once more but Futarou was able to see it at a much slower pace.
As it extended towards him Futarou grabbed the shaft of the spear and pulled it, throwing the Lizardman off balance.
Taking advantage of the opening he created Futarou using his skill Piercing Thrust and lodged his Spearhead right through its scaled neck. The spear's attribute then activate created a fiery explosion burning the lizard man's head,
Futarou quickly activated his mana barrier which stopped the Lizard which blocked all the spears that tried to strike him as he was dealing with their comrades.
Futarou unfortunately used too little MP in creating that barrier which started to crack under the pressure.
Futarou grabbed the dead Lizardman's body and used it as a shield as their spears broke through the barrier, three of their spears caught stuck in their dead comrade, Futarou pushed them down before jumping and flipping in the air as the other three tried to get him.
From the air Futarou then called out, "Puck!"
"Aye Aye" He said, creating three large icicles and impaling the ones who were on the marsh water.
As Futarou let gravity take control he conjured a Rasengan, the Lizardman he was aiming for raised his shield up to block Futarou's attack but it was for not as the Rasengan broke right through the shield passing right through his armor, opening up his chest due to the rotation of the Rasengan injuring the heart and killing him.
Before the Lizard man fell Futarou used it as a stepping stool and jumped to the air once more, he used Ruler's Authority to call forth Pyro Pike, he pulled his arm back while in the air threw the Spear with all his strength towards the closest lizardman.
Once more it tried to block the attack as the throw was too fast to dodge and ended up breaking right through its defenses impaling him with his Spear.
Seeing that it was the last one alive the Lizardman took a step back before running away scared of being Futarou's next target.
Futarou just smirked, "Puck, I want you to show off"
"Hehehe leave it to me" Puck said, lifting his paws in the air and conjuring a giant ball of fire. He threw the fireball which was faster than the Lizard man. As they made contact the Lizard let out a crying scream as it was soon engulfed in a fire explosion being burnt alive.
Futarou saw the gruesome scene of the Lizardman's face and skin being peeled off being liquidized before all that remained were its black bones due to the attack.
Futarou looked at Puck with his mouth open while Puck had his paws on his hip and puffing his chest with pride.
'I did asked him to show off but wow"
Futarou then turned towards his notifications and saw

'I need to kill around 5 more Lizardman if I want to level up to level 10. Which isn't going to take long, even if just taking 7 of them was difficult. They are definitely stronger and it's harder to move in this marsh area which just puts me at a disadvantage'
Futarou turned towards Puck and said, "Let's continue, that way I could get the hang of battling in these types of land quicker."
After some time after all of his MP returned Futarou went ahead and started exploring the dungeon with his map function.
He at first started fighting smaller groups of Lizardman, slowly getting used to fighting in the difficult terrain that is the swamp, but that didn't mean he came out unscathed.
Some of the spear heads would manage to scratch him or only impale him slightly where it wasn't threatening, where blood would spill from his wounds.
Luckily for him he was able to quickly level up which helped in that department. Soon after a day of fighting Futarou decided to take a break and call it a day.
He found a secluded spot away from the Lizardman if the map was any indication and managed to find a suitable piece of land where he could rest and sleep.
But first he did his daily quest around that piece of land as he forgot to do it earlier and accept his rewards

'System, is it possible to alert me when there are monsters approaching me?'
[Certainly, it shall be done as its within the systems function to be of help towards the Host]
"Puck, you've probably been awake for a while, go into my summoner space and rest" Futarou said with a smile.
"But who–"
Puck was interrupted by Futarou, "Just go, that's a command rest… I already have it covered"
Puck studied Futarou's facial expression but all he saw was a confident look so Puck nodded his head and smiled before turning into light and flying into Futarou's chest.
Futarou then rested his head on the ground before mental fatigue started catching up to him and fell asleep rather quickly.
The next day…
Futarou woke up rather late, the first thing he did was his daily quest on the small piece of land.
Futarou then looked at the swampy area and an idea comes to mind, which he chastised himself for not thinking about it earlier.
He summoned both Orion and Puck, after sharing pleasantries with them Futarou then asked Orion,
"I remember seeing you standing in water when we first met. Can you do the same thing here and can you be my mount?"
("Absolutely, I would be more than glad to offer my services") Orion said before lowering his body for Futarou.
As Futarou got on he realized that he wasn't wet, even if he sat on Orion's water made body, to Futarou it felt more like a balloon than anything else.
Puck just went to his usual Spot on Futarou's head before pointing forward with his paws, "Charge!"
Futarou just patted Orion's body, "Let's go buddy" He said, guiding him towards he detected more monsters on the map.
