11 Chapter 11

[Third Person's PoV]

Futarou opened the map function and saw multiple red dots throughout some of the passageways, some with more than others, he also noticed how they differentiated in size. After studying the map, he closed it and approached the body of the goblin. Kneeling down beside it, he put a hand on its corpse and closed his eyes.

An object shot out from the goblin's chest before landing perfectly in his hand as he used Ruler's Authority to simply pull it out. He looked at the bloody stone and smirked.

"Ew, what is that?" Puck asked, seeing it covered in purple blood.

"This, my furry little friend, is known as a mana stone. Each monster is imbued with them as their core, and it represents their grade. This right here is an F grade mana stone. Although it's of the lowest grade, it still sells for a couple of bucks," Futarou explained, drawing from his extensive research as a hunter.

"And what's a mana stone?" Puck asked, examining it before conjuring some water and washing it.

"Can't you feel it?" Futarou asked, raising a brow as he presented it to him.

Puck put his paw on it and nodded his head in understanding. "I see, so they're just clumps of mana."

Futarou nodded. "Yes, but the lower grade they are, the more impurities."

After storing the mana stone in his inventory, Futarou noticed he had completed a quest.

[Auto Looting: For every monster the Host kills, all dropped items would then be transferred to his inventory automatically without the need for the Host to physically do anything.]

Futarou read the description and lifted an eyebrow at that before accepting the rewards.

"Well, let's continue forward," Futarou said to Puck as he started walking towards the path with the least amount of goblins.

As he walked ahead with his hands in his pockets, he saw some of the goblins loitering around in a group of five, each of them wielding different stone weapons.

When they saw Futarou, they immediately rushed towards him, but as he saw them approaching, a single thought occurred in his head.

'They're so slow. Well, my stats are pretty high compared to my level,' Futarou thought casually.

The first goblin, wielding a sword and shield, charged in. Futarou saw it approach with a bored expression before simply kicking it on the head, causing it to explode on impact and spew blood everywhere.

The other goblins stopped and had a look of shock before promptly taking a step back and looking at Futarou with fear. Their eyes widened when they saw Futarou's image blur before their eyes.

They heard the sound of something being squished before blood started landing on their faces. They slowly turned their heads and saw one of their friends without their head on the ground, with Futarou looking down at them with a look of disgust.

Futarou made a swiping motion and, using Ruler's Authority, made their weapons fly out of their hands.

The remaining goblins turned around and quickly tried to run away, but Futarou simply sent their weapons flying back towards them, killing them all.

'Looks like I have 36 more goblins to kill if I want to level up,' Futarou said before walking ahead.

Futarou continued walking ahead before running into ten goblins. But before they had a chance to react, Futarou conjured ten mana bullets with 100 MP each and threw them towards them.

Seeing that he had already dealt with all the goblins in that pathway, he turned around before heading towards the next.

After a few minutes, Futarou had Puck send out two icicles, penetrating two goblins as he said, "35 and 36."

Futarou opened his status upon hearing the level-up noise with a smirk.

'My mana was restored upon leveling up. Does that mean every time I level up, my HP would also do that? I better keep that in mind. That could be useful. Let's finish this quickly; I'm growing bored.'

"Come forth, Orion," Futarou called out. In front of him, a magic circle appeared, and Orion emerged on top of it.

("You called, Master?") Orion asked, while lowering himself as he could barely fit inside the cave.

Futarou put his hand on his watery forehead and nodded. "Yes, I did. I want to test something out. Fuse with me."

Orion nodded his head as Futarou activated his 'Spirit Fusion(A)' ability. Orion turned more liquid as he and Futarou started coming together.

Futarou's black hair started turning blue in color, as well as his golden eyes, before growing wolf ears made entirely out of water alongside a tail as well.

Gauntlets and boots made entirely out of water also started appearing on his hands and feet, but those Gauntlets appeared to be more like claws than anything else.

"So what do you think, Puck?" Futarou said, his voice coming out between a mix of both Orion and himself.

"SO COOL!!" Puck exclaimed, looking at Futarou's transformation.

Futarou smirked before opening and closing his hand. "I know, right? But we better hurry; it's a bit difficult to hold on for too long."

Futarou started running with his hand behind his back and his posture lowered upon running into more goblins. Futarou didn't hesitate before swinging his claws and slicing them apart.

Futarou jumped from goblin to goblin, killing each of them without hesitation, not even caring to look at the exp notification. After he was done, he would go to the next Pathway and repeat the process. The goblins didn't even have a chance to react as they were killed.

Soon, he finished killing all the goblins, leaving the pathway with the most amount of goblins and also the one with the largest red dot for last.

Futarou started breathing heavily, but not to the point where he was gasping for air, so he was still good. He ran ahead towards the only pathway he hadn't gone through yet.

He saw the end tunnel cut off with a wooden door. Futarou clenched his fist and punched through the door, breaking it apart and causing splinters to fly everywhere.

Futarou quickly took notice of the very open space while looking at a goblin around his height seated on a throne with a giant sword by his side.

Futarou smirked when he read that, and only one word appeared in his head… 'Exp!'
