Their battles remained hidden until Zhong Kui vanished following a fateful encounter with the emperor, leading to his imprisonment within a stone. Decades after his condemnation, a group of exorcists stumbled upon Zhong Kui's grave and unwittingly resurrected him, unleashing even fiercer demons and spectral entities from the abyss. As word spread, exorcists from across China converged to eliminate the resurrected god, viewing him as a perilous menace. Zhong Kui found himself not only battling demons and ghosts but also confronting exorcists determined to end his existence.
