30 minutes had passed since Cloud and the others had entered this sort of infinite whirlpool, time the girls were using so they could level up while killing every flying fish that appeared in range.
"Still haven't found anything?" - Cloud asked as he watched the girls shake their heads - "Strange, this is the only place we could reach from the entrance, so it shouldn't be a dead end, unless we're ignoring something..."
Kaori and Shizuku kept taking out any fish that tried to approach their sub while the others looked around for clues, or any details they had ignored for the moment.
"I have to admit, this is fun," said Shizuku as a small smile appeared on her face.
"Do you think I could borrow that artifact for a moment?" - Shea asked as she cocked her head to one side - "I'm bored of looking at rocks."
"Sure" - nodded Shizuku as she stood up from her seat.
Shea let out a cute squeal of excitement before taking the strange controller and giving her companion a look - "Now what do I have to do?"
"According to Kaori-chan, you have to press all the buttons" - Shizuku replied as she tilted her head - "At least that's how it worked for me".
"Okay?" - Shea tilted her head to the side before looking at the controller and then at the new group of enemies approachin-"Orrraaaa~!"
Shea started pressing all the buttons as fast as she could.
Shizuku was silent as she saw how her partner seemed to be enjoying the situation much more than her, so she quickly looked at Yue and asked if this was normal.
"Shea is one of those people who can't stay idle for too long because she gets bored" - Yue replied as she nodded - "Thanks for letting her play".
Shizuku decided to ignore the situation, and check on Kaori, only to notice how she was frowning - "What's wrong, Kaori-chan?"
"Shea-san is beating me in score" - Kaori replied as she puffed out her cheeks - "She's making me KS."
Shizuku gave her a blank look because she didn't expect this answer, so she decided it was better to go to Cloud, after all, he should be doing something important, right?
"Rocks, I only see rocks, sea plants and more rocks" - Cloud muttered while frowning - "No mark, no clue, not even any sign that tells us what we should do".
Shizuku stopped and turned around to go back to Yue and Tio, who were preparing a small tea ceremony - "At least with them I feel that my mentality is not in danger."

"Ok" - nodded Shea as she made a new battle cry and pressed all the buttons at an impressive speed.
"I think she's the happiest in this annoying situation" - said Shizuku as she watched Shea smile while destroying the cave - "By the way, shouldn't we worry about destroying this place and having the cave fall on us?"
"Don't worry, there is an inner layer of mana that is covering the area" - Tio replied as she shook her head - "That's why Yue-dono gave him that idea."
Shizuku stood silently as she watched the cave shake with every shot the girls fired at the rock walls. She wasn't sure if this was a good idea, but so far nothing bad had happened, so there wasn't much she could say about it, though everything changed when she heard the blonde boy's shout.
"Stop!" - Cloud exclaimed as he narrowed his eyes - "Look!"
The group looked in the direction where Cloud was pointing, only to see a strange mural with red markings that seemed to be glowing.
"I guess we found our door, though I'm surprised it's behind some rocks" - Tio said as she tried to analyze the situation a bit more - "Wait, these rocks weren't created naturally, they're made of mana."
Everyone's look changed when they heard this as they frowned because this only meant one thing.
"Did someone try to trick us?" - Kaori asked as she looked at Tio - "Maybe it was a test?"
"No, the mana flow is very different from the one that is floating all over the cave" - Yue answered while squinting - "It's strange, I didn't notice this difference until we managed to destroy the rocks, which means that the person responsible is either strong or has a relationship with the creator, which is impossible".
"Why?" - Shea asked as he cocked his head to one side.
"Because the creator of this labyrinth has been locked in this place for centuries, she had no children, and her sister is floating between dimensions, which makes it impossible for her to have been responsible" - answered Yue while shaking her head.
Cloud disappeared from the submarine and approached the strangely marked mural for a closer look, though when he did he noticed how the scent of mana was very similar between the two sources - "Strange, the two are almost identical, though there is one apparent difference, Meiru-san's magic has a scent of blood thanks to her vampiric heritage."
Cloud squinted his eyes before looking at the wall and noticed something strange, the markings seemed to be forming a spiral with what appeared to be numbers - "I see, it's not like we were going around in circles, we were going down, but we didn't notice because the markings were being blocked by these artificial rocks"
The young blond continued to stare at the strange mark until he noticed that it was more like a pentagram - "I see, it started to glow because I felt the necklace that has the moonlight inside it".
Cloud moved the necklace closer to the indentation near the pentagram, only to see it begin to glow brighter. He was preparing to pull his hand away when he saw the wall begin to shake, as he felt a huge amount of his mana being drained by the necklace.
A cold sweat ran down his forehead as he began to gasp for breath as he felt his mana drop to critical levels, as if this strange mechanism was designed to absorb all that was needed, but without endangering the life of the "victim".
"Cloud!" - Yue exclaimed from inside the submarine as she felt Cloud's mana drop drastically.
Cloud looked back and nodded calmly as he watched the wall split, revealing a new entrance. He quickly returned to the sub before collapsing to the ground with a gasp.
"Cloud!" - The girls exclaimed as they watched the blond fall.
"I'm fine, I'm just a little tired," Cloud replied as he shook his head in an attempt to resist the sleepiness he felt after losing much of his energy.
"What happened?" - Tio asked with concern as she walked over to the blond and carefully lifted him up.
"The necklace absorbed much of my mana and transmitted it directly into the labyrinth" - Cloud replied as he looked around - "I don't know where my mana went, nor does it matter now that we managed to open the entrance to the labyrinth".
"Though I'm a little worried about the one responsible for blocking the clues" - said Tio as she helped the blond up - "Did you manage to discover anything when you were near the seal?"
"Yes, the one responsible has a similar scent to Meiru-san's mana, only without the distinct scent of vampire mana" - Cloud replied as he shook his head, after all, it was impossible to mistake vampire mana with how close he was with Yue.
"So we're dealing with an unknown Dagon?" - Yue asked as she frowned - "But this is strange, a Dagon couldn't resist entering the great volcano because his body wouldn't withstand all that heat."
"Ugh, I'm confused" - muttered Shea as she shook her head.
"We have an unknown enemy, or at least someone who doesn't want us to complete this maze" - said Cloud as he looked at the rabbit girl - "Someone who we don't know if he's still around"
The girls looked at each other seriously, then at Cloud.
"What are we going to do now, Cloud?" - Kaori asked with concern.
"Simple, we will continue with our main mission, if that unknown person is still in the area, then he will come to us if we advance through the labyrinth" - Cloud answered seriously - "That's why we will have to keep our eyes open."
