Shimizu let out a laugh as he watched the monsters writhe and roar fiercely.

"Just a little more and everything will be ready" - Shimizu muttered as his laughter grew darker and more twisted.

"You know what to do" - Cloud said as he watched Aiko nod after biting her lip.

She along with her students left along with Will, leaving Cloud's group, ready to start preparations.

"Why did you send them with Will?" - Yue asked as she looked at her husband.

"Because I might have to kill Shimizu" - Cloud answered while closing his eyes - "I'm sure she will end badly if she sees him, that's why I made her leave."

"You're too kind, master" - Tio said as she gave the blond a smile.

Cloud gave her a blank look because she was smiling at him while crawling in his direction - "Why are you crawling?"

"Wasn't that your request?" - Tio asked as she cocked her head to the side.

"I only said to stay down WHILE you were on top of my car, you fucking masochistic dragoness!" said Cloud with irritation.

"Ah ~!" - Tio let out a small groan as she squirmed on the ground - "Insults, indifference, cold stare!"

"I think this girl is a basket case" - Shea muttered as she gave her a blank stare.

"And that's a lot coming from you, you worthless doe" - Yue replied as a small smile appeared on her face.

"You have no right to say anything to me either, you oppressive and jealous vampire" - Shea growled as Yue's expression darkened.

"Ok, that's enough, you two stop fighting" - Cloud said with a frown as he looked at his two companions, then looked at the dragoness - "And you, get up because we still have to defend ourselves from a horde of monsters".

"Shea, you're just like us, a monster" - Cloud replied with a huge smile - "It's just that you're still restricting yourself to the standards of normal people."

"Restricting myself?" - Shea repeated with surprise because she didn't feel that was the case.

"I'm sure you can't see it, but that's the case, that's why I'm just going to give you some advice" - Cloud said as he finished creating the barriers and prepared to start creating traps to slow down the stampede - "Fight with the mindset that we're injured and can't fight back"

"!" - Shea's eyes widened when she heard this as she imagined this hypothetical situation. Just the thought of her two companions being wounded and at the mercy of the beasts made something inside her about to explode.

"You see?" - Cloud asked with a small smile - "You just need a little push, something to be able to exploit the true potential you have inside you, that potential you can't touch because you still limit yourself for fear of not fitting in."

Shea was silent because if she was honest, that was the biggest of her fears, not being able to fit in. It was because of her that her tribe was isolated and they were hunted by the empire, and even though her family didn't show it, she could feel how some people isolated her because of this.

"Shea, we are all monsters here, only a monster can fit in with us" - Cloud said as he slowly retreated to finish the job.

Shea stood thoughtfully before getting up, dusting off her clothes and retreating, she had some preparations to do and was ready to leave what little "humanity" she had left.

"Well, at least she's better" - Yue muttered as she nodded. She had heard everything from the roof of a nearby house, and she was sure that Cloud had detected her presence, though such it seemed that Shea was so deep in her thoughts that she hadn't sensed her - "Don't you think so too?"

"It's interesting to see how a rabbit has come this far, and honestly I'm jealous" - Tio replied as she appeared at her side - "It's obvious that Cloud cares about her more than that girl can see."

"Cloud is cold to the vast majority of people, but when you get to touch his heart, he's the most protective person one could ever meet" - Yue replied as she closed her eyes - "It's impressive the duality of his personality, so cold that he won't let anyone get close, but so warm as to not let the people close to him suffer"
