CHAPTER 4: “Let me work”

Victoria peeked outside from the bathroom to check if he was there. When she saw that he was not, she tiptoed outside. Then she saw her clothes from yesterday and quickly put them on.

Victoria was in the car and Adam was driving her home. Inwardly, she was thinking " Is he a supernatural being? No he can not be. But if he is not, how else was he able to move that fast? But if he was a supernatural being I would have detected and the organization would have sent me the details. I need to be careful, he is so suspicious. Maybe I should just follow him, just in case, then if he is one I would report him…" she was interrupted from her thoughts by Adam. "Madam, we are at the address you gave me" "Ohh okay" she said. She saw that she had gotten home then she came down from the car and said "Adam right, thank you"

She took out some money and gave him, he rejected her but she insisted on him taking it, so he did. He thanked her and then drove off.

Her phone was ringing, so she picked it and said "Hi Roland, I need you to get me information about a certain someone"

She was already on her couch lying down and eating when her phone rang " Hello, have you gotten it?" She asked. But Roland said "No"

"Why?" she asked

"Maybe you do not know but I could not get information about him except that he is dangerous and mysterious" Roland said

"If you can not get any information about him then go and ask our higher ups" she said

It was Monday morning and there was still no news on him, so she just gave up. It was six in the morning and she was already dressed ready for her other job as an assistant business consultant. She was wearing a white corporate attire and packed her long brown hair into a ponytail with a document in her hand she headed for work.

She and the gate keeper were the only ones around. The gate keeper already knew that she would be the first person to enter the building so he had already opened her department. She settled down and started her work. By ten in the morning which is the resuming time for her department. They had started to resume already.

Her work mate, Sarah, came suddenly to her desk and screamed, then she said "Guess what!!"

"What is it Sarah? I am working" she said nonchalantly

"Seriously?!. You don't know what happened? All the girls know about it" Sarah said

Some other girls came to her table. Victoria was confused.

Girl A said " Victoria you do not know anything?" "No I don't. Why are you girls jubilating?" asked Victoria

"We are jubilating because the boss has requested for all the girls to prepare for the interview because he is choosing a female secretary!!" Said girl B excitedly

"…."

"Ohh okay" replied Victoria

"Okay? Did you just say okay? Our boss is young, handsome, manly, rich, strong. He is technically everything you could ever want in a man. It is a privilege to work with him and he has no girlfriend. Maybe the lucky girl can marry him, give birth for him, grow old with him…" Sarah said with a eyes filled with wild imagination.

"You know that is not possible. Scram and let me work." Victoria said.
