Chapter 30: Invitation?

I blinked to Flann and was going to amputate more of his limbs.

I could see the rage on his face as he gazed at me when I had severed his other arm.

Now he had no arms remaining and can't be considered much of a threat.

If he had dodged my attack in the battle earlier, then he would have proven to be a much more troublesome opponent to deal with.

Everyone was approaching our location since the power house Ornstein had left. Indicating to them that it was now safe.

However...

Flann had smirked...

I didn't have a good feeling of what his smile was and I tried to think of why he did smile?

I saw him gather Flame in his mouth!

What?!

You can use Pyromancy from your mouth too?!

Before I could take any action of any kind, he had spewed forth a gigantic Fireball which split into dozens of lasers that spread out in all directions and was heading directly for Ciri at lighting speeds!

Shit!

I won't be able to block all of them and Ciri's reactions aren't fast enough to evade something that fast.

I did what I could do and I blinked to Ciri and pushed her forward, while also blinking us further away.

The fire laser Arrows had poerced all throughout my body, I was riddled with holes, as I had barely been able to Abe Ciri from death.

Many had made holes in my heart, legs, arms, neck, chest and one had gone through the nape of my neck.

My nervous and synapsis system had been damaged which is the equivalent as dying.

My body had to regenerate and I was incapable of movement until I healed.

Ciri and recovered and screamed what I can only presume was my name.

She did care for me, though not romantically.

She viewed me as a close friend, a very close one.

More so then Avallac'h.

Ever since she was training with Quelaag and everybody else, I had also helped her and trained in swordsmanship at the same time.

I spoke with her quite alot and the two of us got along quite well.

I told her everything regarding Eredin, his murder of the Aen Elle (Elf) King, Avallac'h obsession with Lara Doren and her bloodline which Ciri is apart of, Ithlinne's Prophecy and more.

I had also taught her how to use her Elderblood abilities better and to control it.

I even took her to Marvel a few times to take her to the various worlds there too so she can enjoy herself.

I didn't participate much and only guided her.

Still, we got pretty close and became friends.

Naturally she would have a certain level of worry and would forget about my Immortality when she sees me take a Lethal blow by saving her life with my own.

My body was healing, but jot fast enough as Flann prepared another attack.

There was nothing I could do!

Flann attacked and the streaks of red quickly came and aimed for everybody, including Ciri.

She was about to use her Elderblood but something unexpected happened...

???: "ENOUGH!"

With that one world from a feminine voice, the streaks of red were forcibly dispelled.

I was able to see in the corner of my vision someone I didn't expect to see here...

Flann: "Quelaag? Why do you defend this Murderer?! He killed my wife and was the cause for all this destruction! Why! Why protect him!"

Quelaag: "I do not have to answer you Flann. Surrender or perish."

Flann: "HE KILLED HER! HE DESRVED TO DIE! I DESERVE JUSTICE! REVENGE FIR WHAT HE DID!"

Quelaag just sighed as she didn't need to bother trukying to explain things to Flann. She can sense in his Pyromancy Flame that he has lost his sanity and would only end up camping after Artreus and his friends. She just waved her hand and Flann's body was engulfed in flame.

When the fire subsided, his body was completely scorched.

A few moments later, his body became dust in the wind.

My brain was still not working properly simce my synapsis system is till healing, but I got the most if the message. Luna heard it too so I'll ask her later to repeat it.

Quelaag approached us while still in her spider form.

Her spider form had gotten more sleeker and less monstrously hairy and had less fire all over it.

She transformed into her Human form and knelt down beside me and Ciri.

They had a conversation of their own as my body regenerated.

Quelaag soon left and kept a parameter of the area along with Logan.

They were the two strongest here and will be able to deal with any of the possible remaing forces that All-Father Lloyd might sned sned us.

When I fully regenerate, I will deal with All-Father Lloyd once I have acquired my armour and am ready to face him.

Until then...

Imma' enjoy the lap pillow I am receiving right now from Ciri.
