Chapter 22: Angel vs Golem

Artreus had teleported to the cave that is known as "DLC entrance", "Manus Pull Point", "Cave of Dusk".

Unlike in the game, instead of having to kill the Hydra to have the Gold Golem that has Dusk inside of it spawn, it was already here.

Artreus wanted to teach Angel how to fight properly as she would need to learn it fir the future. Even though she is now Immortal, it doesn't mean her friends and future family would be. Like Solaire for example.

If Solaire was to die, yes he can resurrect, but he will lose his memories bit by bit until he becomes a Hollow and then into those lootable Hollowed Corpses that are everywhere in the world.

He noticed the Golem hadn't approached yet and decided it was a good time. He placed Angel in the water, she eventually woke up and started coughing out water from her lungs.

She was going to say something but Artreus threw her an small blue cube that seemed to have some sort of glitches effect all over it.

Artreus: "This will give you a Level up and some abilities to use. You are going to be fighting from now and I will help only when it's time to Finnish the fight. I will teach you the controls and so on, but now you can finally play this game world."

Angel: "Yes! It was getting a little boring just watching you."

Artreus: "Want me to ban you from playing?"

Angel: "No No! Uh ah, tell me how to use this! Please?"

Artreus: "I accept your surrender. Imagine yourself as a white Orb and then ill do the rest. I'll explain what powers you have after."

Angel did as he said and imagined transforming into a ping pong sized white Orb.

Artreus grabbed it from out the water and the glitches Cube and placed both if them into the Immortal Cube.

A few seconds later, Angel Orb popped out and held it in his hands.

Artreus: "Imagine yourself being as your Human self."

An instant later, the Orb became the young little Angel once again. She fell into the water and got wet. She complained about the water but didn't mind.

Artreus explained what powers she had gotten. He had bought for 200,000 Souls, the Video Conduit power from the game "Infamous: Second Son".

After the explanation, Angel learned how to make her digital video wings, which appeared White, just like her original PhaseShift Siren Wings design.

He sent her towards the Golem and watched as she flew at the Golem, but got punched in the head into the ground, resulting in her head exploding instantly.

She thought that just like a normal game, she would have the "Gamer's Body" power, and had just tanked the hit.

Since the Fushi Orb that both he and Angel's bodies are at their core now, it was essentially just a sentient adapting Orb technology made by the Beyonder in To Your Eternity.

Angel tried the same approach multiple times. She would get slammed into the ground and crushed by its fists, torn in half as it grabbed her and ripped her in two, broke her limbs and puckered her organs with its crystals.

Eventually, Angel grew tired of dying repeatedly and asked Artreus for help. He just gave advice to flew around and didge its attacks while using her various abilities.

She did exactly that and flew and dodged one if its swings, the follow up she didn't and got punched in the gut and sent Flying up and smashed into the ceiling of the cave. She didn't die from this, but her ribs were definitely broken and had pierced her inner organs and lungs as she would cough blood occasionally since it gathered in her mouth.

She no longer feels pain, nor the need to breath, eat or sleep since all that was dectivatef by Artreus.

Angel hovered in the air and fired bolts of digital energy at the Golem from above. The Golem fired crystals at her from its arms.

Angel dodged them as she strayed to the right and left in short Blink dashes. One crystal pierced her left leg.

She flew down at the Golem and summoned a digital sword.

She swung it at the leg and took a large chunk of it out, she blocked a strike from the Golem, but since she wasn't physically strong, she was repelled back and her arms snapped from blocking it.

She still had her wings to fly, even though she can't walk or use her arms now, she could do taht much.

She used her digital wings to Blink-teleport up, the Gloemearned from its previous encounter and was able to grab Angel's injured left leg.

She summoned a floating digital sword to amputate her left leg before the Golem could pull her down. It worked and she broke free.

Her arms were healing themselves and Artreus could her the bones inside her chest snap in place and remove the shteered bone pieces that pierced her lungs and organs.

Angel's unmovable arms became moveable again as hse made a grasping motion with her hands to test them out.

She summoned a digital Mace and swung it at the Golem's head. The Golem threw out a punch at her head, but she moved her head and was able to crush the Golem's head. It fell lifeless to the floor but didn't dissipate.

Angel retrieved her severed left leg and blinked back in the air, as far away from it as possible in case it was still alive. While she watched, she held her leg to the severed stump, allowing it to mend and attach itself together. She removed the crystal Shard and eyed the Golem for a few moments.

Angel landed on the ground beside Angel and began jumping and skipping round him, while her wings were still active.

Angel: "I did it! I did it! I did it! I beat the Boss! Yay!!! Did you see it Daddy?!"

He wanted to joke with her, but when he saw tears forming in Angel's eyes from the lack of response from him, he gave up all thought of lying and said.

Artreus: "Yeah, I saw it Angel. That was one of the tougher ones because it was small and quick. As a reward, I will let you fight a secret Boss. And since you were able to beat it right after you asked to learn how to fight it, I will give you a bonus reward later."

Angel: "Yay!"

She jumped up to grab and hang from his neck.

Luna: 'You know it was a Mini-Boss right. Actually, it is just a stonger and gold version of the Blue Crystal Golems at the Duke's Archives.'

Artreus: 'Juat let her have the win. She actually was able to her powers extremely fast and was able to fight quite well. Especially since her first actual fight was against a Boss like enemy and not a regular one.'

Artreus could see the Golem still alive and weakly raise its arm to fire a Crystal at them. He decides to kill it quietly so it doesn't ruin Angel's victory.

He used the Water Manipulation of the Blue Makluan Ring he had. He gathered the water, quietly, around the Golem and encased it in water constricting its movements. He began to make the water crush the Golem, while bring careful of not killing Dusk.

The Golem dissipated and persisted into white particles, Dusk fell in its place.

Angel heard the sound and looked back. She saw Dusk and looked back to Artreus, wanting an answer.

Artreus: "Come. Let's meet her."

Angel: "Okay~"
