Souls of the Damned

Many aeons ago, in a land filled with riches and abundance, where peace reigned unhindered by anything, lived a kind called A'Khina. The realm was painted with lush greenery, its meadows were filled with blooming colours, and its sun was just warm enough so everything could grow and thrive. Seasons changed, and a new ruler rose, determined to bring change into the realm and show her people that there was so much that they hadn't seen or experienced. She broke the sacred law that had kept her kind safe for such a long time and allowed for the very first entry into their realm to one other kind. One man from a realm filled with abundance brought with him sparkling stones and precious metals, which began to ornate the Queen's Palace and the homes of the A'khina. The man was a merchant, one of the lowest of his guild, and his name was N'gatarkan. Time passed, and the man was allowed entry once every season to bring in his precious stones in exchange for grains and food. He slowly began to earn their trust, and with each visit, he found out more about the realm, and the more found he began coveting the power that made that realm so special. Many seasons passed, and he began planning and scheming an uprise and taking the power that he wanted for himself, and with it, the demise of an entire kind began, and he became the first of his kind. Aeons passed once more, and peace reigned in the realm until one day, the power he had coveted for himself, others wanted it just like he did. To save his people and himself, he returned to his roots and bargained his precious life and the power he held in exchange for the safety of his kind, the sithrians. Haven

The journey back to Ironstone had been long and tiresome. And after many days wandering through the land, Ironstone came into view. There was one thing that didn't quite make sense. The volsa stuck to them, regardless of how many times, she tried to send her away. Even when the cub, left, she remained. It was curious, that a ferocious beast like the volsa wouldn't separate herself from them.

Maya sighed, gaining Dakran's attention " What bothers you?" Dakran asked as he pulled on the reins, halting in front of the gate. It was in the dead of night. Everyone was in deep slumber.

" The volsa. I'm curious why has she remained at our side?" Maya's gaze drifted towards the volsa who plopped herself on the ground at the horse's feet.

Dakran's brows furrowed " I think the pack is gone." he jumped off the horse and caught her when she followed him.

" Gone? " Maya lowered herself on her heels, to stroke the cub, who huffed, laboured.

" Dead, Maya. She might be last the one remaining. Hence why she stuck around. She is seeking shelter. To keep the cub safe." Dakran reasoned and sauntered to the gate and knocked on it. Maras was probably asleep, in his little hole in the wall. He'd sent word that they were near.

The sound of rushed footsteps and the heavy gate, slowly opening, was a sign that Maras had been waiting. Dakran sighed relieved and looked at Eisza and Haren who stood several paces away from each other, back to back. There was much history between them, a lot of bad blood. Many things had been said, mostly by Haren. That filthy mouth of his, Dakran grimaced, displeased. Now, once again they were under the same roof. He didn't see that ending well.

" My Lord" Maras bowed and lit up when his gaze fell on Maya " My Lady. I'm glad that you have safely returned," Maras greeted Maya with a deep bow.

" Not me, though, huh?" Dakran chuckled as he walked through the gate, followed by the volsa, Haren and Eisza.

Maras flustered " No, of course, my Lord. Both of you," Maras hurriedly said with his eyes on the two volsas.

" My lord!" Maras beckoned " The volsa" He pushed the gate closed " What are they doing here, my Lord? It is a savage beast. It is perilous to have them within the walls." Maras fretted, making Dakran halt his steps.

" Feed them, get some blankets. They will not cause any trouble. If they do, you know what you need to do" Dakran reprised his steps when Maras nodded.

" What is that?" Maya asked as she caught up with him, worried at Dakran's words.

" Tie them up," Dakran smiled " But I doubt she will want to stay within the walls." Dakran halted his steps and turned to Maya " We will think of something. I doubt that it will be the case. If they are well fed, she will have no reason to attack." Dakran reprised his steps walking through the main entrance of Ironstone.

As expected, Falkirk was already in the kitchen slaving away. The delicious smell of food that wafted from the kitchen, and the sound of clatter and banging made it clear as day that he had his hands full.

Dakran walked into the kitchen, surprising both Falkirk and Sala who were busy. Not cooking. Dakran turned on his heels and pushed Maya back, amused. Maya frowned and opened her mouth to speak but she didn't get a chance to say anything, Dakran covered her mouth with his hand, shushing her.

" They are busy," Dakran whispered and a loud moan echoed in the kitchen, making Dakran stifle a smile. Maya's brows quirked up and sniggered under his hand.

Without another word, Dakran tugged on her hand and walked up the stairs " Will come back later. I guess, we can say that they work well together " Dakran quipped as he pushed the double doors to the private quarters.

Maya giggled " I suppose, " Maya sighed relieved when she set foot in the old chamber.

" It's good to be home," Maya sighed, shrugging off the heavy coat and began making her way towards the bed.

" Yes, it is," Dakran plopped himself on the bed sprawled, hugging the huge bed. The long days without proper sleep, in the cold had taken its toll on both of them. It was more than obvious since he began snoring almost immediately.

Maya sighed and walked up to the bed to pull his boots off, so he can be a little more comfortable. Snuggled in his arms, she had a chance to get a shut eye but Dakran didn't.

Dakran was startled and raised his head " I'm not sleeping " He mumbled as he rolled onto his back.

Maya giggled " Yes you are. We both need to rest" May pulled his other boot and placed it at the foot of the bed.

Dakran pushed himself up, to sit on the edge of the bed, pulling her into his lap " I would sleep better, if " Dakran tugged on one of the many tunics she wore and pulled it over her head " If you'd give some of that soothing potion" Dakran grinned, charming as ever, tugging on the rest of the tunics until she was left wearing only the chemise.

" What potion that might be?" Maya amusedly asked, twiddling with his beard, lavisciously smiling at him.

Dakran chuckled and somehow was able to slip his hand past all the pairs of trousers that she was wearing, rubbing his fingers over her folds." That potion" Maya moaned, clinging to him when Dakran slipped his finger inside her.

" We should wash first" Maya huffed, with her head buried in the crook of his neck, breathless.

" Later," Dakran threw her on the bed and slipped out of his clothes " Now. I want you. I missed you. I missed the twins. Being with you. I missed that delicious mouth of yours" Dakran tugged on the final pair of trousers and fell silent when she was bare before him.

" I missed all of you" Dakran huffed looming over her, his eyes locked on hers, swirling with desire, and adoration.

Maya cradled his face, shuffling under him, spreading her legs wide " I missed you too. Now, stop talking," Maya smiled, leaving unspoken words between them. Those forest-green eyes said more than her mouth could ever say.

Dakran grinned " Tell me," Dakran nipped on her lips " I want to know. Do you want me as much as I want you?" Dakran asked as he nibbled on her lips, patiently waiting for her answer. Loving her was no small thing, wanting her was his second nature, right after breathing.

" Yes," Maya huffed when Dakran rubbed her folds with his cock.

" How much?" He kept teasing her with his lips, and cock. Tiredness had taken a back seat, and desire ruled with an iron fist.

" Until it hurts" Maya gulped, thrusting her hips, demanding more. She had given him what he never knew he needed.
