Wasting No Time Completing the Quest

"Time up!" Mr. Eric said out loud as he presses a button on the strange device and the questionnaire on each of the student's mainframe had disappeared leaving a blank page on their screen.

"Just a few minutes more, a few minutes you can't give us." A girl shouted as she angrily stood up and walk out of the class.

"Crap, I only answered 15 questions." The round belly boy said, his name is Kelly.

"Okay, your result will be announced next time we meet." Mr. Eric said as he walked out of the class.

Everyone started complaining, some saying it's only a few questions they need to answer to finish the test while some said they still have a long way to go.

"If only he gave us time to study, we should've done better than this."

"That wicked man, he didn't fit to be a teacher."

They were all exhausted as the test was a tough one, even Emmy had sweat all over his face.

"I only study for a few hours yesterday before the incident; so, I should expect it to be this tough, at least I did everything well." Emmy said to himself as he brought out a book under his desk and was about to read before he heard a rumbling sound coming from below.

'What the hell? I ate like crazy yesterday and I'm still hungry now?" He thought, his heart started beating faster as he remembered what happened last night when he heard this same sound. 'No, this shouldn't happen again, I'll get killed straight away.' Sweat was running down his face as he was shaking, expecting the message to come up again and then his body moving on its own, but there was nothing and the only sound he could hear was.

*Kang Kang*

"Oh, it's lunch time." The students said as they started jumping and some brought out their phone playing games and streaming the net. Walking into the class through the back door was John and his group, Emmy's heart was racing faster than before as he saw them entered. As they walked in; Kelly, the round belly boy ran over to them and stopped right in front of John.

"Hey, we did science test." Kelly said.

"Who cares." John said as he shoved him to side making him loose balance and fell down. John walk to his sit while the others had a horror look on their face except Ben who had follow John.

"Science test? What do we do now?" A tall boy said with sweat running down his face.

"Crap, my dad will kill me if I ever fail science." A boy next to him said.

"Shouldn't we go to the science teacher."

"He won't ever give us another test."

"Why are you guys stressing yourselves." John said from his seat. "This is just a test, not exam so you should all come over and have fun." He said.

They thought about it for a while before moving over to him, they all thought that they won't fail if they do well in their exam, but some of them were still scared. Sitting beside John, they brought out their phone and started playing game.

"Argh, I'm f*cking hungry." A blonde boy said.

"Hey dumpling, come over here." John shouted without looking up as he continues playing his game. They were all playing a soccer game. "Dumpling, don't tell me you're deaf." He shouted again as there was no response.

"Huh, John I think that bastard is not in class." Ben said.

"Not in class?" John raised an eyebrow, the Emmy they knew is someone who only leaves the class after the school close or when John himself asked him to buy them food. "Where would that bastard go?"

---

Emmy had snuck out of the class as soon as he saw John entered with his group, nobody detected him because they were all focused playing games or reading, but the class president who always sits at the front saw him creeped out but she decided to keep quiet because she don't care about him sneaking out of the class. Running through the hallways, Emmy headed to the elevator at the edge.

He ran out of class because he wanted to complete the quest that told him not to take orders from anyone and he knew he couldn't escape John sending him to get food for them. Not that he wants to complete the quest so badly, but he was afraid that, if he answers John and decided to buy them food that Lord Lucifer will take control over his body and make him fight John, which was the least he wanted to happen because he knew it would be a suicide mission.

So, to avoid that calamity, he decided to move out of the class and go someplace not open to the eyes of others. He planned to do this for the next three days, then he can take orders from John after gaining his freedom from Lord Lucifer. He was thankful that when sneaking out of the class, no message had popped up asking him to be brave and not run away, like what happened to him in the bus.

Entering the elevator, he pressed a big yellow button on it and a screen appeared, typing the last floor on the screen, a glowing yellow ring light had appeared and as he stepped in, he appeared on the last floor which was full of students, some were coming in and out of the different elevator while some were just hanging around the large hallway. While in the hallway, he could hear the whispering of the students as they focused on their phone but he couldn't process what they were saying through his head because he didn't care.

He held his head downward and started moving out of the hallway. This is how he always walk around the school as he was quite the popular one and always get beating when some students see him. He walks out of the hallway and was now outside in the open air where there were more students playing around, he was about to move to the back of the school building before two girls walk past him and he could now hear what they were saying clearly.

"I can't believe it, Don and his friend got beaten by an unknown weak boy and a mere dog." One of the two girls said as she gulped in the black liquid she was holding onto.

"I bet they won't ever show up in school again." The other girl said.

'Huh, it had quickly spread like that?' Emmy thought, he had heard the two girls clearly and he knew what they were talking about more than anybody.

The news of what happened to Don had spread around the school, not only among the first year and the second year students but the third year students also saw the video including the junior school, some of the teacher also watched the video on net and they were all interested in the fighting dog.

'I can't waste any more time completing these quests and gain my freedom from that damn Lucifer, so I can do what I like.' Emmy thought as he started walking to the back of the building.
