What?

I was dumbfounded when she said it in a very serious tone. Her face looks like someone who's worried about me. Her eyes tells something but her lips were quivering. I frowns at her and throw the tissue at her face. That moment, she burst out laughing like a crazy girl.

"Hahaha if you just see your face just now, you will cry in embarrassment!" she laughed until she choke because her breathing was not stable anymore.

I rolled my eyes at her and drink the mango shake I ordered. She described my face by reneacting our scene a moment ago. She looks like a mad girl right now as she can't forget the scene on her mind and laugh off for about fifteen minutes. She calmed down and drink her pineapple juice.

"You're such a very cute girl, Sha. Haha I should have recorded it," she said while wiping her eyes as some tears from laughing went out.

"Stop joking, Anika. You don't know how nervous I am when you said that, you b*tch. I really thought something bad happened. Tsk."

"Haha sorry. I'm just shocked to hear you interested in a guy. So what did you do after meeting him at the party?"

I looked at her and swirl my fork at the linguine pesto pasta infront of me. I ate first and wipe my lips with the tissue again before telling her my story. I told her what happened at Louise's debut party and when i meet Lepinius the second time at the bar. I told her some parts that I feel like isn't personal. And the personal stuffs, like how I was mesmerized by his face and such, was left behind on my heart.

How can I possibly told her that kinds of stuffs? She will just joked with me just like earlier and will probably teased me until we fight. I mostly not wanted to have a quarrel with her. I need her intel to gain information and to help me to conduct a scenario where I will meet Lepinius.

"You really like him?" Anika said as if it's really an amazing thing.

I nods my head simply and smiles as Lepinius face pops up on my face. She laughs again while pointing at my face.

"Oh my gosh, this is amazing. I bet Shain will be terrible when he heard this," she picked out her phone out of her purse.

I immediately grabbed her phone and put it inside my purse.

"Don't you dare, Anika! Keep it a secret to anyone. If you tell anyone with this," I glares at her and run the fork I'm holding on the side of my plate.

It made an eerie sound. She squeals at it and some customers near us looked at us. After five seconds, I lifted my fork to stop the sound, and smile to gave her a warning.

" You know what will happen, right?"

"Geez, why are you being serious? You don't even have a slight chance on him," she said.

"Are you even my friend? How can you say that infront of me?"

"So you want me to say it at your back?" she stand up and walk behind me and repeat what she said, "You don't have a chance on him!"

I turned my body to hit her arm. But instead of saying 'ouch' she laughed again and went back to her sit.

"Stop joking, will you? It's not funny anymore," I sipped on my drink again.

"Haha okay okay. But it will be hard, you know. Villafuente is mostly like a very private one. Helping you to gain information about him is a piece of cake, but the actions will be all depends on you."

I smiles sweetly at her and slowly caress my hair behind my ear," I am Sharika Rose Miraflor, the Queen of UPHSL. Don't underestimate my charm, Ms. Briones. "

After that small talk, Anika gets her phone at my bag and scribbles on it. She asked some of her acquaintances from different grade level about Lepinius. I just watched her talked to various of people. Her phone can't stopped beeping. The people she messaged immediately replied back.

She was asking me things that I want to know about Lepinius. So I honestly answered her questions.

Actually I have lots of things I wanna know about him but I summarized them so she won't take long. Since we have limited time today, I only tell her the important things.

Since I already know his schedule, I asked her to find the places where he was always spotted in. She immediately asked her friends and amazingly got an answer after ten minutes.

Second, I wanna know if he has a current girlfriend, rumours are out of course. Since I don't care about rumours.

Also, I asked her to look for stuffs like his address, social media account and phone number. While looking at Anika who is enjoying on chatting and gaining new information about a person, I can't stop thinking that she is more reliable than Carding.

If Carding gave me Lepinius' schedule after a night, Anika can do it five times faster than him. Considering that Carding works from a security company.

Approximately one hour, she looked at me with a proud face. She give me her phone and told me to read the one flashed on her screen.

"This friend of my friend is their batchmate at their bachelor days who asked her friend on Lepinius class," she explained.

I fixed my eyes on her screen and red the things that she makes me read. Truthfully, Anika was the biggest social media star at our university. I am amazed at how people she talked to, and gained more people to asked about the things I wanna know.

"On weekdays, if he doesn't have any appointments at the hospital, he sometimes spotted on the library and the teacher's faculty. While on weekends, he goes here."

"So he is a regular here?"

"Yeah, before Leonore established this coffee shop, he was often seen at Black Mug. Maybe that's where the rumours that they are getting back together because he changed his habit of going to Black Mug to here," Anika looks at me as if waiting for my reactions.

I rolled my eyes at her," So Leonore is the only rumoured one? "

" Haha, no, sorry to say this but he is pretty handsome outside the school. He has a lot of rumoured girlfriend circling around. There's Lea, the muse of Fine Arts department. Also his partner to a recent event at Manila, and some actresses who visited him at the hospital. "

Obviously, with his handsome and foreign features, he will be swarmed by many girls. Inside or outside of the university, he was famous for being handsome. Well, it can't be helped. He was really at the top of the hierarchy.

"So what's your plan?"

"You'll see," I simply said before getting up.

After that day, we always went to Coffetea just to talk about the new informations she gathered. We will always whispering about Lepinius at school and our friends didn't mind at us at all. They were relieved to see me stuck with Anika and not socializing with their girlfriends. But not Shain.

He sensed something was out of line and tried to asked Anika about it. Good thing, Anika was lips sealed and just dismissing him using her boyfriend Lonie. And even Lonie was glaring at me for being suspicious with his girlfriend.

"Don't you dare to cheat on me, Anika Briones," Lonie said after days of seeing Anika looking for Lepinius account.

"Haha, you're being ridiculous," she just shrugged her shoulders and whisper to him.

After that whisper they got both lovey dovey and she forgot me. I didn't mind though, she's been helping me for days, and since tomorrow is Saturday, I have my plans on my head.

The next morning, after going out for a jog, I was choosing an outfit inside my walk-in closet when Melvern knocked on my door.

I opened it while holding a dress on my left hand. He greeted me with a frown after entering my room.

"What's with your frown? It's too early in the morning," I said while facing the full body mirror.

I was checking the dress on my body while he sit down on my bed and crossed his arms over his chest. He looks irritated while watching me adjusting the dress over my body.

"Do you have a date?" he suddenly asked me.

I laughed at him and turn my body to look at him, "What are you talking about? I'm just picking a dress since I will to Coffetea."

"Hmm," he looks at me in the eyes for a minute before sighing, "Shain was waiting at the kitchen with our parents."

"Shain?"

"Yeah. Are you two going there together?"

"No? I'm planning to go alone," I simply asked before walking in on my closet.

I heard his heavy footsteps following me. He stopped at the door of my closet and lean his shoulder at it. He was looking at me and I can imagine his face right now.

"You don't have any plans with him huh? Then, why is he here?" he sounds bitter as he said that.

"I don't know, Mel. Maybe he has an appointment with mom? Or dad?" I mindlessly said and picked out a floral dress, "What do you think?"

I ligned the dress over my body and looks at my brother who looks at the dress I chose.

"I thought you're just going to a coffee shop? Why are you choosing dress?" he asked curiously.

But instead of answering him, I just smiled sweetly at him and run off to him. I kissed him on his cheek first before running towards the shower room. I even heard him shouting about something but I just shout 'Okay'.

After changing into the dress I chose, I went down. I hear my mother's laugh and Shain's sweet voice. He is sweet talking my mother again. I was shaking my head when my mother saw me and called for me.

I looked at my brother when he stand up and put his arm over my shoulders. He start walking so I followed him. He made me sit down besides him even after seeing Shain pointing the vacant chair beside him. I just smiled apologetically at him.

I greeted my dad and mom a 'good morning' before kissing them on their cheeks. Dad was frowning at my mother who was happily talking to Shain.

"Mom, your voice was echoing in the whole kitchen. Are you that happy that Shain was here?" I asked after sitting down.

My father immediately nods his head and holds my mother's hand, "Sha is right. Shain visited us just months ago."

"That was months ago. Look at this child, he grew up centimetres after we meet him! Are you planning to do basketball again, dear?"

My father looked at my mother after hearing the word 'dear'. He then glared at Shain who was awkwardly smiling at my father. I giggled at that.

Whenever Shain was here, my father was becoming cute. He was acting childish and clings to my mother like Shain will steal mother at him. I found it cute so I always teased my father more.

"Haha, yes, auntie. I'm actually accepted at the university's team this year," Shain said in a sweet and gentle tone.

I think the reason why my brother didn't like Shain is because they have the same traits. Since they have similarities, they found themselves close at first. But I think something happened.

My brother was sweet to everyone, and it was the same to Shain. Shain is sporty and sometimes do modelling. Just the same as my brother when he was still attending school. I don't know when my brother stops liking Shain, but what I know is he keeps on glaring at him.

And that's why, he ended up driving me to Coffetea. He insisted after hearing that Shain will drive me. I can't say no to my brother since he was having a mood swings everytime Shain was there.

Poor, Shain. I think he went at the house to talked to me. But since my brother get in between us, we didn't have any chance to talk. While inside the car, he texted me that he wants to meet up at the place I'm going. But I just said no since this is an important day for me. He didn't reply after I sent 'next time'.

"Text me later okay? Take care, princess," my brother kissed my cheek before I get out of his car.

This will be the day my life will change.
