203 Important Notice - SSC is going premium and moving

This author needs to eat. Which means that if I am to continue writing SSC – seriously writing, with new chapters nearly every day – it needs to put my bread on the table.

Unfortunately, relying on occasional donations of a few very kindhearted and generous people is not cutting it and my publisher keeps asking when I'm going to start putting my chapters "behind a paywall".

Thus, in hopes of a better future, from the next chapter onwards, every chapter will be locked and will need free passes/coins to unlock.

In the future, some of the previously free chapters might also get locked. So if you want to reread SSC, or have friends that are not up to speed with the current release of SSC, now is the time to read it.

The reason why chapters had been slow for a while now is precisely because I've been working on my site and preparing for the switch to premium. And now that the time is upon us, I will be marking this instance of the story as complete and moving the releases to the new version that I told you about a while ago.

To reiterate - NO NEW CHAPTERS WILL BE COMING HERE!

SSC chapter releases are moving to the other version of Soul Shard Captor on Webnovel. You need to search for the other version of the book and add it to your library instead.

You can just search for Soul Shard Captor in the search bar. You'll find two novels in the search results. One is the old version published through Inkstone - the one you are currently reading. And the other is the new version published through my publisher's integration with Webnovel – that's the version that you can continue reading SSC on. You can differentiate them from their titles. The new version has a higher rating and doesn't have [QT] in the title.

The reason why the releases have to move to the other version is because only authors exclusive to Webnovel can lock chapters through Inkstone. Non-exclusive authors like me have to go through their publisher.

Alas... the said publisher's integration with Webnovel is lacking. QAQ

Due to this...

o I won't be able to receive notifications of your comments on my novel and might miss them. If I don't respond to your comments, don't think it's because I am ignoring you. I just have no way of knowing when someone leaves a comment. I usually check the last couple of chapters for comments every couple of days, but I don't often check older chapters.

o Some emoji such as 😂😱👍 aren't supported in the other version.

o I can't leave proper author notes in the author notes section. I can technically include the notes as part of the chapter text, but since the chapter pricing is calculated based on word count, you'd end up paying for author notes, which is not acceptable to me. Thus, I will only be leaving an author note at the bottom of the chapter if it is very short and wouldn't increase the price of the chapter. Otherwise, if it is a longer author note, I'll leave a comment on that chapter. If you see it, please upvote it so that it reaches the top of the comments section.
